I’m always attracted by the wonderful YouTube video files, and can’t help myself extracting the amazing audios to save them as MP3 to playback on my iPod and other MP3 players. I guess some of you may want to do the same thing as I do, but have not found an available application to achieve this goal, if so, I would like to share my experience here, and sincerely hope you can get what you need from my post.
The software I’m in use is Pavtube YouTube Convereter for Mac, which has performed very well on all the work I let it do. It can finish downloading and converting YouTube videos simultaneously in a few clicks. Besides YouTube, it can also deal with the video files from many other video sharing websites, like MySpace, Yahoo! Video, Google Video, Metacafe, Reuters, etc. Okay, let’s go back to the point to see how to use it to download and convert YouTube videos to MP3 on Mac in detailed steps.
Step 1: Add YouTube URL
Step 2: Select MP3 as output format
Copy and paste YouTube URL to the textbox after “URL”, meanwhile, if you want to save the original FLV YouTube videos, you can tick “Save FLV File”. Click the drop-down icon at the end of “Convert To” to select MP3 as output format. Furthermore, if you want to save the output MP3 file in your specified file name, you can type it into the textbox after “Save As”, and also, you can click “Browse” button to decide where to locate the output MP3 files.
Step 3: Adjust audio parameters
Click “Custom” button, then the following interface will show up, on which you are able to adjust audio parameters like codec name, sample rate, bit rate and audio channels.
Step 4: Start downloading and converting simultaneously
As soon as all the above steps are finished, you can click the “OK” button in step 2, after that, downloading and converting YouTube videos to MP3 will start automatically. Once completed, you can click “Open” button in the interface as below to get the output MP3 files with ease.

The general method of use is to download a script (double-click or right-click and use Download or Save As...) to a folder of your choice, e.g. your Desktop, Downloads folder or create a folder at ...\iTunes\Scripts. Select a playlist or highlight some tracks in iTunes and then double-click on the script to execute it. .... I discovered this too. This is what I did:
1. purchased full album from the iTunes Store
(once download completed, album magically showed up in iPhone Music app, as expected, without having to sync)
2. I then went to my iTunes Music view and edited the album year (Multiple Item Information)
3. Synced
4. All album tracks showed up in duplicate in iPhone Music app (but not in iTunes view)
Solution:
1. in iTunes, I changed back the album year to the one iTunes Store originally downloaded
2. Re-synced
3. Now all album tracks show up but no longer in duplicate in iPhone Music app
Lesson learned: When purchasing music from iTunes Store, leave metadata untouched.

I have bought over 2000 songs from iTunes and was wondering if there was an easier way to download them onto my new computer other then going through each artist and hitting download. Yes you can press download all for the specific artist inside of purchase history but like I said in my issue there is still hundreds of artists and you can only do up to 3 artists (which can sometimes be 30 songs) at a time before it starts to lag. I am wondering if there is a universal download all area for all songs period in which I am yet to find and yes I went back and looked after your comment. If this is what you meant could you elaborate more because I must have misunderstood.

TRy to close itunes by double tapping the home button then slide up all of the open apps and try again.
another option is to turn off your ipad, logout from your itunes account and try again downloading the movie. If it still gives you error, call apple support and ask for itunes agent to see if there is something wrong with the movie you are trying to download

I have been trying for some hours to solve the issue.
I have some urls and I am copying the urls and pasting them in anyvideoconverter, in order to download and convert them, so that I have the videos. However, it does not work and I thought that it would have to do with cookies.
The cookies have been enable for this site and I do not know what to do.

I should mention that editors which do not automatically "linkify" a URL usually do have a button on their toolbar to insert a link. Instead of pasting the link directly into the message, you can click in the text where you want the link, click the link button, paste in a little dialog, and then insert that.

The first ever Sync of 12,000 songs to an empty iPod will take a while, but it shouldn't take two days.
Once all 12,000 songs have been Synced to the iPod, subsequent changes to just one album will result in a very short Sync time. That Sync will include:
the change to that one album
play counts on iPod updated into your iTunes Library
Smart Playlists updated: some complex Smart Playlists are not always updated by the iPod but have to wait for a Sync with the Library.
housework - in other words, behind the scenes tasks that we don't need to see.
Those subsequent Syncs do not sync every single song every time.
So, stick with Syncing. If the first Sync of all your songs is taking too long, try syncing part of the Library (say one or two genres) the first time, a further part the second time and so on. After all, with a Library that large, manually managing the iPod will be a source of torture.

I have a website that is used primarily in schools. A while ago, I had tried downloading some youtube videos (and converting them to wmv and mp3 or mp4 files I think) and had put them on my site. This way, they wouldn't be blocked in schools because they wouldn't be coming from youtube. The problem was when I tried to watch them on my website from my school, the videos played but took forever to load because the file sizes were too big. I want to try converting youtube videos again. I recently heard about progressive download. Is flash the best way to go with this? Do I want to embed the flash file with an FLV video file and an SWF file to play the video?

The media card maximum size is according to your OS release version.
Personally, I would recommend you upgrade to a higher 4.5 release, as .55 is old and was not so great as I recall.

You can only use apps that are compatible with your dvice and ios version.
The secons gen ipod touch can only go to 4.2.1.
If you are running 4.2.1 then you can only use apps that require 4.2.1 or lower.
