An email is stuck on my desktop I cannot remove it please help?
I have an email I was about to send out stuck on the desktop of my iMAC and I can not send it or delete it or even minimise it, please can any one help?
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode, like if you can delete or send it then...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.

If the phone was previously owned and is locked to that owner's Apple ID the ONLY way you can activate it is to get that person to release Activation Lock. This is an antitheft feature of the phone; stolen phones are useless.
If you purchased the phone new you created the Apple ID, and will have to remember it. If it is only the password you have forgotten go to https://iforgot.apple.com -

However with a new email came a new password ... and it seems that my phone can't accept the fact that I changed my email, and won't let me change it - so my password is Always wrong, when I know it's not. If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -

Dear apple community, I'm having trouble installing ANY apple programs, i.e. Quicktime, iTunes, Application support etc. The installer gets stuck at "Publishing Product information" and eventually gives me an error information. Please help! I desparately need to install quicktime atleast! I tried installing an old version but it says "install apple application support" or something along that matter. When I unrar'd itunes installer and tried installing just the application support, but that too got stuck at "Publishing Product information". This is making life very hard for me. Any help would be awesome!!
These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? Are they also 800736FD, or some other number? (If they're another number, what number are you getting?) -

Convert Air Desktop Application to Android apk Please help!
I developed an Air Desktop Application by using Flash Builder 4, it's a pure ActionScript 3 application. I used a few PNG image files and mp3 audio files in the application. After I build it, I got the swf file, xml file and all the image mp3 files in the bin-debug folder. If I run the swf file with all other files (png and mp3 files) in the bin-debug folder, it works great. If I run the swf standalone, the application will miss the images and sounds.
Now I'm converting the swf to apk, and run it on android device, it will NOT show the images or Doesn't play the sounds. I was wondering if there is a way to merge the png and mp3 files into the swf when I build/compile it? Or is there some other way to convert to apk which includes all the image and audio files? in this example icons folder is packaged along with swf and app xml.
What you can do is that specify each of the mp3 and image files one by one separated by space at the place where icons is used in examples.
In this case you will find all mp3 and image files in same directory as your swf when you run on android.
Make sure you use app:// urls for accessing those files -

ThanksYou have confused me, because you are posting in the iMac G5 PPC area, and you have an intel. I think that opening the case is quite difficult, you have to take the front of the bezel off, and the screen is taped down and is not easy to remove without damaging it. You probably will have to pack it up and send it to the nearest Apple repair center to be fixed.
