I foolishly downloaded FireFox 4.0 without check the requirements and now I can't get my older version back. I tried downloading an older version but after downloading I am asked to select an "application" for the file.

I didn't check the requirements and lost my older version of Firefox. All I have is an icon that is crossed out. Attempts to download an older version have so far failed. When trying to install, I am asked for an "application" to run the file.

HT4972 Did I just lose everything on my IPAD for the last year because it said to update it, not giving an option to back it up first? Its updating with ITunes now but under the RESTORE option. There was no way out of this.

My IPAD2 had a pop up message that an update is available, to close or click on details, so I clicked on details. It took me to an upgrade box, no back up options. I clicked to upgrade it. It downloaded for awhile, then turned off, and when it turned back on, it directed me to plug into my ITUNES with the USB adapter, which I did. When ITunes came up, it said I had to restore it before I could use ITUnes. Again, no other options. I am worried that I just lost everything on my IPAD2 for the last year, apps, photos, documents, settings, email, etc. It is still downloading after 30 minutes. Is everything gone and truly back to factory settings? If so there was no warning for this at all, I'll never get everything back.

I'm not sure what happned either but If you are doing this via iTunes, iTunes should have backed up the iPad first. It can take a good bit of time when you update with iTunes on your computer because iTunes downloads and installs the entire iOS all over again. If you are running iOS 5 on the iPad, and you will be now, you can update OTA via WiFi in the future and the process takes far less time since you will only be downloading an incremental update.
If you are syncing on a regular basis with iTunes, you should have a recent backup. In the worst case scenario, you should be able to restore from the backup. And as stated aboce, you can download all apps again and virtually all purchased content from iTunes (if you live in the U.S.) and you can always sync your iTunes library back to the iPad.
Let the update finish and see where you are then. Come back if you need help.

You need to find the format of the drive by looking at its info, my guess would be you are currently in NTFS (windows only) mac can use any mac os journaled or non journaled, or you can use fat32 which is usable on both pc and mac but is unable to move files over 4GB so no good for large file transfers. You will need to re format at some point but this will delete everything currently on the drive.

You have the display set in Extended Desktop mode. The Menu Bar and Dock will be on the MacBook display and your background screen on the monitor. In System Preferences>Display on the MacBook screen there should be an Arrangement tab when you have the MacBook hooked up to the monitor and both screens working. When you click the Arrangement tab do you see two monitors side by side? One of them will have a Menu Bar at the top. Just click on the Menu Bar and drag it to the second monitor. That will make the second monitor your main screen. You can now use your MacBook in Clamshell Mode with a wired or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3131 When you disconnect from the monitor your Menu Bar will automatically change back to the MacBook.

Which signature style are you talking about?
You can go ahead and try uninstalling and reinstalling it and see if that works for you .

New Releases Section is the same for the last year

As the title says the "New Releases Section" in the "Browse" all the platforms (desktop, android, web and iOS) is absolutely the same for the last year. It is never updated but why as I can clearly see my album notifications from artists I follow? Is this section a "sponsored" artists only secrion, whats the deal here? Here is a screenshot of how the section looks today 30.4.2015, notice that Rammstein which added their music almost and year ago is still occuping most of the space.

Are you serious that I need to create a new account to fix this, this is unacceptable. I WILL NOT leave my entire music library and my premium subscription history in order to fix a clear bug in your system, I am better of leaving Spotify all together. Please escalate this issue to your managers as it is again UNACEPTABLE to require me to create a new account to resolve a clear bug in your system, what is next if this gets stuck again down the road in 3 months will you ask me to create new account again, till what end. I am shocked at this. I have not idea what is happening at Spotify quarters but the last 5 months have been a pure pain, starting with the 10 000 limit of Your Music, than the 1.0 desktop version disaster and now this absurd "solution".
