An error occurred while delivering this message (Iphone 3G)

Basically starting today, I am unable to send :((
few of my colleagues who are connecting to the same server sending just fine but me....
From Iphone, I can
-Access Exchange Address fine
-Update my Contact
-Add Calendar Entry
(all the above shows up instantly when I open up outlook in my Workstation)
Oh also I accessed the https://server/oma just fine (except for the hideous interface of course) ...
So I do not think its anything in the Exchange side (why wouldn't anybody encounter that? Why just me? And if I had something wrong (config winfowise, then how come I am getting email fine, or updating calendar fine?
Any ideas?

ichoudhury,
Have you tried the troubleshooting steps suggested in http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1426 ? Have you tried sending while connected to a different network as well?
Another good step to try might be resetting network settings. To do so, navigate to Settings > General > Reset. Also, deleting and re-adding the account may be advisable as well.
Hope this helps,
Raleigh

  • When sending email via hotmail on both iPhone and iPad, I receive message an error occurred while delivering this message

WHy all of a sudden, today, I can no longer send emails (via hotmail) from both iPhone 5s and ipad 2? I receive message that says "an error occurred while delivering this message".  I have no problem sending emails from PC.

    *** solved ***
You have to add another SMTP server as following steps:
Just go to hotmail acount setting
Then click on SMTP in outgoing mail server
    Then click add server
    Host name: smtp-mail.outlook.com
    User name: your email
    Password: your password
So now you can send mail
    Thanks

  • HT1430 Cannot send mail, An error occurred while delivering this message

While sending a few emails with a single photo in each I was asked to log in to verify to stop junk emails. Six emails got there but the four after did not, sat in out box. Deleted all emails, sent with no photos, no luck. Switched off and on agian, deleted and re done email account and reset with two buttons. All no good, PLEASE PLEASE HELP. Thanks

I have had the same problem until today. When I  updated my hotmail/msn password on a desktop computer, I then had to  update it on my iPhone 4S in TWO areas (Incoming and Outgoing, the latter  is obviously the issue we're experiencing):
    #1 Incoming:
    Settings> Mail, Contacts, Calendars> (Select the hotmail/msn email)> Password> (update your password)> Done
    #2 Outgoing:
Settings>  Mail, Contacts, Calendars> (Select the hotmail/msn email)>  Outgoing Mail Server (which is smtp.live.com on my iPhone)> click on  smtp.live.com again to get to the password area> (update  "Password")> Done> Back> Done

  • Why can't I send emails from my Macbook Pro. A window pops up saying this: Sending the message content to the server failed.  The server response was: An error occurred while sending this message using the SMTP server "(null)"

This is starting to REALLY frustrate me! I used to be able to send emails with attachments perfectly fine with my email, and now all of a sudden it won't work. I work from home, and 8/10 my emails need to have images in them. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!

Contact your internet service provider. They can run some tests to verify the cause of the problem. This sounds very much like an ISP issue.

  • During iOS 5 update&restore, I got this error message "An error occurred while restoring this iPhone (-50)".

After backing up, iTune was restoring and it showed the error message "An error occurred while restoring this iPhone (-50)".
I have two iPhones; iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS.
I successfully upgraded my iPhone4 to iOS 5 with iTune on my Window XP. Everything works well.
So, I tried to upgrade my iPhone 3GS as well (with the same iTune on the same computer). After backing up,
iTune was restoring and it showed the error message "An error occurred while restoring this iPhone (-50)".
I tried to unplug and plug the iPhone. but iTune showed the same error when I click "contrinue restore" button.
I think backup file would still exist on my computer and I want to restore them all.
Please help me to fix the problem.
    Thanks,

  • An error occurred while loading this content - only with iPhone not iPad

I know this issue has been discussed to death with no real solution in sight but my case is slightly different:
    1.  On my new iPad, I select AppleTV (not mirroring), open Safari, then to YouTube and play any HD video. Immediately, the video will be streamed to the AppleTV with no hassle.
    2.  I do the same on my iPhone 4, 4S or 5 and all I get is "An error occurred while loading this content. Try again later". This occurs without fail.
If I use Jasmine YouTube client, streaming will work perfectly but alas, this app is prone to the error message "Youtube has restricted feeds for this video" and thus, I can't use this.
If I use the new google youTube app, only the audio gets streamed to the AppleTV. I have to use mirroring and the video does not fill the TV screen but leaving a dark border all round. The streaming is not smooth either. The previous youTube app by Apple works perfectly - never had an issue. As soon as iOS6 came along, I end up with all these problems.
Is there a solution to all this? Currently, I use only my iPad for streaming YouTube videos but I really want to use my spanking new iPhone 5 but can't.
    I am so sad.
Can anyone help or am I doomed to use only my iPad for this? I am soooo disappointed with the iPhone 5 due to this.

Has any other fixes been found.  Since I updated to the latest iOS I've been having a similar problem.  It doesn't matter what I stream through either.  I bought I ATV2 when they first came out and have been using it perfectly fine, however after the last update I haven't been able to stream my movies, tv or even Netflix.
I've also been having issues with my ATV2 connecting to my windows 7 desktop where I store all of my movies and TV shows.  I have to deauthorize home sharing and turn it back on for my ATV2 to recognize that it is even on.  Frustrating to say the least.

  • Anyone know what this error means/how to fix it?:  An error occurred while restoring this iPhone (-50).

My sister-in-law wanted the new Operating System for the IPhone 4, and i plugged her phone into MY macbook in order to do this.   Before I updated the operating system, I synced her phone (at least I thought) to my computer.   It went through the whole process, transferred her purchases and everything.   But once I updated the operating system, it gave me the error message "An error occurred while restoring this iPhone (-50)." right at the end.   Then her photos, videos, and contacts were all gone.   Could these possibly still be on my computer somehow and I just can't see them?  I don't want her to lose all of her stuff.   Thanks.

Normally you would be able to do a Restore from Backup in iTunes, but since no backups are saved in YOUR iTunes, you're out of luck.

  • What does this mean: error occurred while restoring this iphone (-35)?

What does it mean when you are attempting to restore a phone and you get this message: error occurred while restoring this iphone (-35)

  • IPhone 4 error while updating to iOS 5 - An error occurred while restoring this iPhone (-35).

After taking over an hour to backup and restore my iPhone to iOS 5 iTunes gave me that error:
An error occurred while restoring this iPhone (-35).
    Anyone know what this is?
None of my apps have been restored, or settings.

Try it again. Or un plug and try again.
Sometimes I have found if the server is busy it will not verify the phone and you start to loose things. If a back up was done before upgrade you will not have lost stuff.

  • IOS 5 seems to work, but when I connect the ipad to my macbook, i get the message that itunes was interrupted when restoring. I try to restore again and I get the message "An error occurred while restoring this iPad (-50)." What should I do?

iOS 5 seems to work on my ipad, but apparently something went wrong when restoring. I lost music and movies, and when I connect the ipad to my macbook, I get the message that itunes was interrupted when restoring. I try to restore again and I get the message "An error occurred while restoring this iPad (-50)." What happened and what should I do?

I have had the same issue since day 1 of the ios5 installation.  I always hit "Cancel" and then the iPad eventually shows up again in iTunes.  Then a few hours later, I get the same message again.  Annoying, but I've not found a way around it.

  • HT201413 An error occurred while restoring this iPhone (-36)

I upaded my Iphone 3GS IOS from 4 to 6 with automatically backup from itune, but after that, the iphone could not restore any more, all my date lost.
it shows "An error occurred while restoring this iPhone (-36)", it tells that the iphone does not have enough space for restore.
I did on my iphone 4 without any problem.

I found this in another thread
+Have you tried to put the phone into Emergency Recovery Mode? Warning! All personal data will be erased and will have to be restored from a prior sync!+
+You can put your iPhone into Emergency Recovery Mode by turning the phone off. Now, don't turn it on just yet. Plug the USB nine-pin connector into the bottom of the iPhone but not connected to your computer's USB port. Now, press and hold the Home button (the big round button at the bottom) while you are plugging in the USB cable into the computer's USB port. The phone will appear to be starting but what is going to be different is that you will only see a black screen with a picture of the USB cable and the iTunes program icon. Now you are in Emergency Recovery Mode. Start iTunes and it will detect an iPhone in recovery mode and then tell it to restore the phone.+
+This will correct 99% of all firmware/OS upgrade issues on the iPhone since you're basically starting from scratch.+

  • Updated iPad 1 to IOS 5. When trying to restore my iPad from my backup it gets half way through and the iPad reboots and iTunes says "An error occurred while restoring this iPad (-1)"

Updated iPad 1 to IOS 5. When trying to restore my iPad from my backup it gets half way through and the iPad reboots and iTunes says "An error occurred while restoring this iPad (-1)"
I have tried to restore my contacts and company data at least 20 times and every time half way through THE iPAD REBOOTS! When it boots back up it is at the brand new iPad screen.
This makes me angry as I do not use the iPad for fun and games. I use it for business. My company data and records for the last year are gone. ALL of my out standing customer invoices are gone. ALL payments received are gone! ALL Business contacts and emails ARE GONE! All my company, personal email accounts and settings ARE GONE!
What am I supposed to do now? In 6 hours I have to get on the road and conduct business with a empty blank factory out of the box iPad. How am I supposed to know who owes me money or who has paid their bills Apple? All of my meetings and calendar dates are GONE!
Everything was supposed to be backed up and restored after the update!
Question???WHY DID YOU MAKE THIS UPDATE WIPE OUT ALL SETTINGS AND APPS ON THE iPAD??? All the other updates left everything on the iPad intact and ONLY upgraded the IOS,and when it was done everything was still there.
Yes! I have done everything. Rebooted computer, checked for updates, Hard booted iPad, Factory restored iPad to ios 5 twice, tried every usb port I have, unplugged all other usb components.
Everytime half way through "Restoring iPad from backup..." The iPad turns off shows a spinning circle then shows the Apple logo and takes me to the brand new iPad setup screen.
Apple, you have no idea the level of stress you have created today.....

Check the console app to see if there are any error messages. I had one app showing an issue (Pet Hotel) the error was (truncated):
    ERROR: Restore message response: 102 rename error: File name too long (63) at path "/var/mobile/Library/SafeHarbor/com.pocketgems.tappethotel/Container/Documents/ savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHis tory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGa meHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/sa vedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHisto ry/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGame History/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/save dGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory /savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHi story/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedG ameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/s avedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHistory/savedGameHist ory/savedGameHistory/1313349538-pocket_gems_crash_report.txt" (MBErrorDomain/102)
I manually snyc'ed that particular app and then re-ran the restore and am now the proud owner of a working iphone. Not sure it is the same problem or app but looking in the console was the key!
