An error occurred while reading: Permission denied
Hi All,
I am using the latest version of OSX & Pages v5.5.2.
Without warning or any other issues, I now get this error, when opening an existing file, duplicating, renaming & trying to save the copy.
The same error occurs if I create a new document & try to save it.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks for that, but it was the first thing I tried, with no change.....
My Pages documents are where they have always resided, in a sub directory of the Documents directory.

Hi,
We are getting the following error when running our SSIS packages on Microsoft SQL Server 2012 R2 on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1:
Error: 4014, Severity:20, State: 11. A fatal error occurred while reading the input stream from the network. The session will be terminated (input error: 109, output error: 0)
SQL Server Data Tools and SQL Server Database Engine reside on the same server.
We tried the following:
Disabling TCP Chimney Offload
Installed Windows Server 2008 SP1
Splitting our SSIS code into multiple steps so it is not all one large continuous operation
The error occurs during a BulkDataLoad task.
Other options we are investigating with the engineering team (out-sourced, so delayed responses):
Firewall configurations (everything is local, so this should not make a difference)
Disabling the anti-virus scanner
Are there other things we can try?
Any insight is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!Hi HenryKwan,
Based on the current information, the issue can be caused by many reasons. Please refer to the following tips:
Install the latest hotfix based on your SQL Server version. Ps: there is no SQL Server 2012 R2 version.
Change the MaxConcurrentExecutables property from -1 to another one based on the MAXDOP. For example, 8.
Set "RetainSameConnection" Property to FALSE on the all the connection managers.
Reference:
https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/774370/ssis-packages-abort-with-unexpected-termination-message
If the issue is still existed, as Jakub suggested, please provide us more information about this issue.
Thanks,

"error occured while reading from device"
when trying to sync our itouches the device is initailly recongnized in itunes and will begin to sync , but never gets through the whole proccess - each time it gets to a different step, but always ends with error message "ipod cannot sync as an error occured while reading from device" or something close to that...any ideas or help please....
i have checked the usb drivers...uninstalled and reinstalled itunes and removed the security software that I can find....It could be to either a problem with a "file" that is either one the iPod or on the computer that is trying to be read for syncing. I would in order:
- Reset the iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore the iPod via iTunes. First from backup then to factory defaults/new iPod. -

[email protected]Hello,
Could you try to use Network Monitor or WireShark to examine if the connections resets are coming from a client computer
or from the host where SQL Server is installed?
Network Monitor can be downloaded from the following link:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=4865
If you use Network Monitor trace you will identify connection resets by looking for “TCP: Flags=,,R.A” at the description column on the Frame Summary. Once you find the flag, the Source column will tell you the identity of the host resetting the connection,
maybe is not the SQL Server host.
Hope this helps.

There are 28 weak sectors found on the disk surface. They may be remapped any time in the later use of the disk.
26848 errors occured during data transfer. This may indicate problem of the device or with data/power cables. It is recommended to examine and replace the cables if possible.
Replace hard disk immediately.
how can I fix it?
may drive format (Fdisk) and renewing windows can fix it?

MohammadHello mohkhosh,
I see that you're getting an error indicating possible hard driver failure, that you have this message from 3 different sources. I will try to help you with this.
After reviewing everything you're looking at needing to replace the hard drive. I would suggest contacting support to see what they can do for you.

I tried to move my PE6 install and catalog to a new computer. It was on a Dell Windows XP machine, and I moved it to a Toshiba Windows 7 (64 bit) machine. I have always kept my photo files on an external hard drive. My photo library is 50GB, 10,000 files. Here is what I did.
Copied the original PE6 install file to the Toshiba. Installed but didn’t activate it.
Copied the entire My Catalog folder to the proper Windows 7 location.
Plugged the external drive into the Toshiba. Made sure the same drive letter as before (E).
Fired up PE6 on Toshiba. Looked good in Organizer. Everything seemed to be there, but I didn't try to make changes at that point.
Deactivated PE6 on the Dell. Activated on the Toshiba.
Then I realized that it is not right. I can edit Keywords and Rating stars on the pics, but not dates, captions or notes. I get “An error occurred while reading files or writing files to disc. The disc may be full or there may be problems with the source media.”
Only a fraction of the external drive is in use.
I can access the files on the external drive with another app (Windows Photo Viewer).
I tried Reconnect All Missing Files. Somewhat ambiguously, it says “There are no files to reconnect.”
In the properties in the Organizer for each picture are the proper file names and paths. Folder view works fine in Organizer.
I can put new files in the same external drive directories, import them into PE6, then edit them normally.
What is the easiest way to get Organizer properly connected to my files? I suppose I could reimport all the pics on the new machine, but I assume I'd lose some of my metadata. So that is out of the question.
Thanks,
BillAre you sure that file paths are correct? I say this because under XP they would have originally pointed to Documents & Settings/My Pictures whereas on W7 it will be User/Pictures, albeit you are using an external hd.
Take a look at this knowledge base note on the correct procedure for back-up and restore.
I think writing metadata to files for such a large catalog will be a thankless task.

I can't seem to sync my iPhone to my computer; I keep getting this message: "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because an error occurred while reading from this device." I get the same message with my iPad, even though they all share the same account. What can I do?
This could be caused by a USB connection issue. Make sure the iPhone is directly connected to the Mac using the USB cable it came with. Also, try disconnecting all other USB devices.
If you haven't already try resetting the iPhone by holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see an Apple logo as described here:http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305743 -

The issue is resolved.
When we set the certificate password inside our application we were encrypting it inside our system.
When we sent it to tibco we did not decrypt it.
So the encrypted password was sent as it is that was the issue :(

"An error occurred while reading the configuration"
I updated my Time Capsule (1tb, old) with the new software last night (to 7.4.1 from 7.3.2). The upgrade process seemed to work fine. I then tried to go into the TC with Airport Utility 5.4.1 and when I click on the TC, I get a message that says, 'An error occurred while reading the configuration. Make sure your Apple wireless device is plugged in and in range of your computer or connected via Ethernet and try again. (-5). I've rebooted the TC. I have plugged into it directly.
It now asks me for my password. I type it in and then I get the message. Any suggestions? Downgrade? Re-run the upgrade? Reset the TC?foohan,
I had this same error, and I did have to reset (hold down the reset button for 5 seconds) my AirPort Extreme and Time Capsule to get past it. I noticed two things, though.
1. If I tried to connect to my Time Capsule from Finder, I got an error. But if I clicked the "Connect As" button, it asked for my password again, and I could get to all of my files to back them up.
2. All of my files were still on my Time Capsule after I reset it. I use it for remote file storage, not Time Machine, so I can't tell you if Time Machine backups will pick up where they left off.
Hope this helps. -
Why am I getting the following error: An error occured while reading files or writing files to disc. The disc may be full or there may be a problem with the source media. I am running PSE10 on a iMac using OS X 10.7.3, my Mac has a 1TB hardrive of which about 150GB is used. I get this error when trying to delete a file out of the Organizer. The software worked fine until I installed it on my laptop, also a Mac, and tried to share files.
Hmm. What happens if you disable sharing, just as a test?
I don't think you can share organizer photos that way, since your versions don't really exist as images, just as a set of directions to organizer for recreate that state of your editing when needed, and you can't run organizer on a network drive, which is pretty much what you're trying to do if you mean you have PSE installed on the other computer and are tryng to use the same catalog for both. -
Does anyone know why I get this error message in PSE9 on a mac computer?
An error occurred while reading files or writing files to disc. The disc may be full or there may be a problem with the source media.
I cant put titles on pictures or delete them from the hard drive, etc.
Please help.
Thank you!Okay. I would suggest going to your username>library>preferences and deleting everything that is anything like com.adobe.Elements Organizer.plist. You will have more than one of these, one with the version number and possibly one with UUID in it. Also delete any lockfiles with the same names. While you're in username>library, also delete any saved application states for the organizer or PSE from your saved states folder. Then repair permissions and try again.
The username>library folder is hidden in lion. To make it visible, in the Finder click the Go menu and hold down the Option key. It will appear below the little house for your user account.
