Does anyone really know how to fix this error?

Mac or Windows? This error generally occurs when there's an unusual setup regarding where Muse is installed (network drive install or unusual permissions settings) or where the users temp folder or documents folders are targetted. If the documents folder is redirected to a volume that's not (yet) mounted, that can cause this error.

Why an Error Message "Valid size not available for this Creation" in Elements 10 Photo Collage

I have several image editing programs, but I bought Elements 10 specifically to do things the others wouldn't. I wish to make a photo collage but all I get when I try, after following the instructions in the "help" and "Elements 10 for Dummies" is an error message stating "Valid Size not available for this Creation." A meaningless phrase anyway because nowhere does it request a "valid size." Please will someone tell me the magiac words to make my lovely collage automaticaslly, or shall I revert to doing it manually on one of my other excellant image editing programs?

Error msg: System Preferences not available on this Mac?

I want to change my screensaver -- I last did it in the Fall of 2010. Now I get this error message? When I use Finder to search for System Preferences, the icon is faint with a strike through it. How can I CHANGE system preferences? Did this happen with last update of the OS? Or when I set up iCloud to use with my iPad2? Just had my iMac in the Apple Store and Genius Bar kept it overnight after checking out fail messages regarding the Drive and directories after running Tech Tool Deluxe. They ran other checks and said it was all clean and the Drive is fine. But what's this new issue?

It sounds like the System Prefs app is damaged.
What version of OSX are you running? Assuming it's not Lion, you should be able to use the Pacifist app to extract it from the Install disc.
Or, reinstall OSX. See Installing the ''combo'' update and/or Reinstalling OSX.

CS2 Error message.= The command "pdf presentation" is not available at this time.

CS2 and Bridge will not make any pdfs'
CS2 has been un-installed and re-installed twice from disc without solving problem.
I will download CS2 from Adobe as my next step, however my CS2 disc would have to be de-activated and there is no activation server for CS2 anymore.

Does the pdf presentation work if you invoke the command in photoshop proper instead of bridge?
File>Automate>PDF Presentation.
I really don't think using the adobe cs2 download will make any difference as either your bridge and/or photoshop preferences could be corrupted
and you should try resetting those as they are not reset during a unistall/reinstall of cs2.

iTunes? If so are they downloaded enough that they can be played?

I only have 1 apple ID and the same was used to set up this early 2011 macbook pro and iPhoto app. I don't want to loose out on any photos. I tried logging out of app store and back in but no luck. PLEEAASEE HELPP!!!
This problem has been reported by quite a few forum members, who skipped the update to iPhoto 9.5.1 while running Mavericks. In that case try to purchase iPhoto again instead of updating.
After making your backup try the following:
Uninstall iPhoto by deleting it from the applications folder, but do not empty the Trash.
Launch the App Store, click the "Store" menu, and sign in with your AppleID.
Open the main page of the App Store and search for iPhoto.
If iPhoto is listed as "Free", click the "Free" button to buy it with your current AppleID.
If it is not showing as free, there is no help but contacting the App Store Support, as Niel pointed out: http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact/

I have a program that uses the __thread specifier, to be run on a Solaris 9/UltraSprac.
I am not able to compile it using gcc 3.4.4 or 4.0.4, it emits the msg "error: thread-local storage not supported for this target".

I am not sure whether the failure to compile the first file (with __thread) was due to the incompatibility of this Sun assembler. In the first case, the error msg was emitted before these 2 lines are printed.
I further read a post about gcc 3.3.3's inability to compile code that has __thread in it, on a HP-UX 11.11: http://forums12.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?admit=109447627+1216595175060+28353475&threadId=1148976 The conclusion seems to suggest that "the 2.17 GNU assembler did not support thread local storage" and gcc sees that and thus disallows TLS.
If the assembler is the culprit, then does anyone know whether this "Sun WorkShop 6 update 2" assembler in my installation can work with TLS? And how come a Sun assembler becomes the back-end of gcc? I read that gas (the GNU assembler) is the default backend of gcc. (How) can one specify the assembler to be used for gcc?
As an aside, I am able to compile my file on this same Solaris 9/UltraSparc platform using the Sun Studio 12 C Compiler:

Just as another comparison, I compiled a file without __thread on the Solaris 9/UltraSparc platform using gcc 4.0.4. Not surprisingly it worked. But I no longer see the mention of the Sun assembler as in the case of gcc 3.4.4. Nor did I see the mention of "GNU assembler" as in the case of gcc 4.0.4/Solaris 10/x86. Instead, I saw something called "iropt" and "cg". Does anyone know what they are?

It is for BI 4.1 on Windows. We have a connection called CON1 pointing to DB1. It uses UNIV1 All reports were working fine and we were able to refresh it as well.
Now the CON1 is changed to point to DB2 and we are now getting following error - "Some objects are not available to your user profile. You cannot refresh this Query. See your Business Objects administrator to request rights".
If I create a new report using CON1 and the it works fine. Only the old reports are still causing issue on refresh. I tried with Admin account as well and same issue.
The CON1 is still CON1 and universe UNIV1 is still using CON1. Just the content was edited from DB1 to DB2 in CON1. If we create a new report then no issue.
Can anybody advice if something needs to compiled. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Your old reports are still pointing to same connection. Remember the DSN has been pointed to use another Database. The records and entries will be different. In addition as the records or object mapping have changed for these reports. Hence this would be a very normal behaviour.
Create a new connection named CON2 or something like that to point DB1 as per your requirement. This way your original reports would work.
