An event in one of my libraries no longer has the event icon next to it's name just the name only. I can't view the clips in the event or import new clips. I've tried deleting the event and nothing.

I've tried deleting the event and nothing. After control clicking the event it shows all the media that has been previously imported. But it does not allow anything to be done to the event including deleting. This showed up at the beginning of a normal import session. This is fortunately the back-up evant.
Did you perhaps mess with the contents of the library in the Finder?

I downloaded 2 updates (download only), and there's two .msi files and one setupadmin.exe file. I click the latter and nothing happens? How am I meant to do install these updates?
Sorry I forgot to mention I was doing this on a PC with Vista (the heading was Windows so I didn't bother to mention this). Anyway by trial and error I found that you can click on the .msi files to install them. The files were downlads of updates to iTunes and iCloud Control Panel.

The computer insnt letting me update the new itunes. So i deleted it all and now it ses when i try to download a new one that it cant delet the old itunes ... what could i do
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

I have about 14 gbs of Other on my iPad. After searching, I notice that it is mostly photos. Years and years of photos. However, when I sync thru iTunes on my iMac, I only sync the last 6 months. I have tried deleting all photos and syncing again. No luck. Any suggestions?
Read the User Tip that razmee209 linked for you in the post above. If nothing in there works, there May be something on your iPad that is corrupt. Backup the iPad, restore to factory settings, and them restore the backup. If that doesn't fix it, restore as new and download all of your purchased content again.

the screen of my ipod cracked so will i be able to get a new one but i left my ipod in the locker and my mom is planning to go tomorrow without the ipod to the apple store but we still got the case of the ipod from the first day we cant find the receit though
1) you can get a replacement one, though you might have to pay the out of warranty price for the device (normal iPod touch 4th gen 8g = $99)
2) If you don't have the iPod itself, its is highly unlikely they'll replace it since you won't be handing the original over (since its in your locker) -
Calenndar - when I want to edit a monthly recurring event but only for one month I am no longer given the box to update only that date month. How do I do this with the new operating system?

One of the problems that comes with these tricks for variable-rate acquisition is being able to match up sample data with the time that it was sampled.
If you weren't using either of E-series board's counters, there is a nifty solution to this! You'll be using 1 of the counters to generate the variable-rate sampling clock. You can then use the 2nd counter to perform a buffered period measurement on the output of the 1st counter. This gives you a hw-timed measurement of every sampling interval. You would need to keep track of a cumulative sum of these periods to generate a hw-accurate timestamp value for each sample.
Note: the very first buffered period measurement is the time from starting the 2nd counter until the first active edge from the 1st. For your app, you should ignore it.

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
My fire fox „hang” during taping „www”. Usually I’m able only to tape one “w” and fox is stopped. I tried to reinstall it and nothing had changed.
This should not happen. It might be an indication that something is wrong with the database storing your history and bookmarks, causing Firefox to hang when trying to read through your history (which is what it will try to do when you type in the address bar, to show you your most frequently visited sites).

(Btw, it looks like you're still on Firefox 12, so your first step should be to upgrade. Firefox normally does this automatically after a while, but you can force it by selecting the Firefox button at the top right corner, then point at Help, and then click About Firefox.) -
I have embedded 4 videos on my website. It is a single page, scrolling site. When I scroll down, the videos scroll in front of the top menu bar, instead of behind it. I have tried changing layers, etc., and nothing works. Please help.

Then, right click on the navigation bar, and choose Move to Layer > Layer 2
Ensure that Layer 2 is on top of the other layers.

I am trying to burn a music cd on iTunes, but I am getting an error that reads that the cd burner is being used by another application. I know that I am not using the cd burner for anything else. I have restarted the Mac and nothing. Any ideas?
One other thread said it was fixed by waiting till prompted by iTunes to insert the blank disk, instead of putting it in first. Does that work? Found a number of hits on this Googling.

Firefox 4 placed stop, refresh and home at the tail of the URL line. I only see home! I tried to reset defaults and nothing happens
Firefox 4 no longer shows a Reload and Stop button on the Navigation Toolbar, but has a button on the right end of location that shows the different states. During the page load process it shows as a Stop button and after the loading has finished the button is changed to a Reload button. If you type in the location bar then that button becomes a Go button.<br />
You can middle-click that button to duplicate the current tab to a new tab.
To restore the Firefox 3 appearance you can use these steps:
* Open the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window to move the Stop and Reload button out of the location bar.
* Move the Reload and Stop buttons to their previous position at the left side of the location bar.
* Set the order to "Reload - Stop" to get a combined "Reload/Stop" button.
* Set the order to "Stop - Reload" or separate them otherwise to get two distinct buttons. -
Tring to launch iBooks just flashes an goes back to launch icon My iBooks is refusing to launch on the new iPad. Worked yesterday. . I have restarted the iPad and nothing. Latest os and no app update in the store. Help
Have you tried closing the iBooks app completely and seeing if it works when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with iBooks 'open' on-screen, though it sounds like you can't get it to be open anyway) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the iBooks app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset (not sure whether this is what you meant by a restart) : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -
Just bought a 5c and when I connected to our desktop it doesn't recognize that the iphone is plugged in. We have tried multiple usb ports and nothing.
