An inconsistency has been detected in your Interface.

Hi
I have some interfaces which extract from an Oracle source system to an Oracle staging database (and ultimately to Essbase). I am using the LKM SQL to SQL.
The issue:
The interface throws the following exception when it is opened after changing the context:
Inconsistency detected
An inconsistency has been detected in your Interface.  This is probably due to modifications made in your Topology. Please re-save your interface.
In addition to this, the LKM reverts to LKM Oracle to Oracle (DBLINK).
Is there something I am doing incorrectly?
Cheers

Probably you created the interface , saved it and then went to topology and change the context .... then ODI will give this warning . You need to open the interface once again and re-save it . LKM Oracle to oracle(DBLINK) is the default KM for this technology pair .. that's why it is reverting back to the default KM. You can change it to your preferred KM .
Thanks,
Sutirtha

  • UML290 & Mac: A new network interface has been detected

    I have a MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard, and I just purchased a Pantech UML290 4G modem, live in an area with good 4G coverage, and I get a good 4G signal.  I am running VZAccess Manager version 7.2.5, and in general it connects to the 4G network fine and stays connected.  Every time I connect the modem to my laptop, Mac OS generates a "A new network interface has been detected" pop up with the option to Cancel or go to Network Preferences.  Canceling makes it go away.
    I also see 4 devices under System Preferences > Network:
    1. Verizon UM290 (which shows connected, not sure why it's missing the L in UML)
    2. Pantech UML290 USB Modem
    3. Pantech UML290 USB Serial
    4. Pantech UML290 USB CM
    Does anyone know how to get rid of the annoying message every time I connect the modem? Thanks.

    I have the same set up.  Get the same messages almost everytime I start up the UML290.  Not sure why I occasionally don't get it.  Many others on the forum have reported this as well.  For now, we live with it.

    Hi,
    Troubleshooting a start up script can be difficult. There are some third party programs that also keep logs of start up programs, however for Firefox this may be different.
    Is Firefox a startup program? [http://www.winxptutor.com/msinfo32.htm]
    Its also possible to check the Web developer tools for any scripts in a page: [https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/Debugger]
    In the control panel there is also Administrative tools to view event logs, but this may be something a local technician can walk you through.

  • Cannot send email via AOL on iPad2 - "A copy has been placed in your Outbox. Sending the message content to the server failed."

    My CEO has an ipad2 and I set it up w/ AOL.  She cannot send any email via her AOL account from her iPad.  She gets a message that says "A copy has been placed in your Outbox. Sending the message content to the server failed."   We've tried it on wifi and on 3G (Verizon version).  I've removed the account and added it, I've tried setting it up as an IMAP account vs. using Apples standard AOL mail setting and nothing seems to work.  The SMTP settings are smtp.aol.com, port 587.  I've tried adding an alternate server/smtp, but I haven't been able to find anything that works.  Any advice or other people having this issue?  It works fine sending an email from her aol web mail.  And unfortunately, having her sign up for a gmail account is not an option.  Thanks

    Interesting.  Firstly I have been on AOL since the early 90s with no current intention to switch as my primary personal email account.
    I have two email accounts on my iphone - AOL and my email from my business website.  I deleted both and then recreated first the business account and then the AOL account.  Same error.  Then I wasn't sure what you suggested but I turned off the AOL SMTP server and selected the business email SMTP server by turning it on with the same result.  I still get the error "A Copy has been placed in your Outbox.  Sending the mssage content to the server failed."
    Perhaps this problem will get fixed by IOS 6.   AOL will not talk to me unless I pay and Apple says its not their problem.  So for the time being I use the AOL web interface in the iPhone's Safari to send emails from the phone.

  • An unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the VM.

    I thought that my problem had been solved yesterday when I managed to run my application with out getting "An unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the VM."
    I was told to uninstall "j2sdk1.4.1_02" and install my old version of 1.3.1 and then completely remove that (as i do not think i removed it correctly in the first place), then reinstall my new version again (j2sdk1.4.1_02). This appeared to work, and my application ran. However, today i planned to do more work on it and it errored again. I am getting the following error:

    Any light shed on this matter is much appreciated.
    Thanks, Mike

    Welcome to native code hell! The reason we all use Java is because
    native code sucks. It is to be isolated and quarantined to the smallest
    area possible.
    File a TAR/SR. Maybe you just need a newer vesion of the OCI client
    libraries on your machine. Maybe they are out of sync with the native
    portion of the type-2 driver.
    Say why you went from type-4 to type-2. In my opinion, unless you have
    a very good reason, you should go back to the reliable java driver. Java
    can't kill a JVM.
    Good luck,

  • An unexpected error has been detected by Java Runtime Environment

    Hi there,
    I am trying to run my application in java and suddenly java started giving me the bellow error:

    I do not believe that this is a problem in my code as this was working before.
    Also the system works fine for about 20 iterations of the same code and then displays this error
    I also try to uninstall and reinstall java but with no luck.
    I am also attaching the log file that java has saved some information.
    Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

    Hi there,
    I am trying to run my application in java and suddenly java started giving me the bellow error:
    # An unexpected error has been detected by Java Runtime Environment:
    # EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x6d81bd10, pid=1500, tid=3624
    # Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (10.0-b22 mixed mode windows-x86)
    # Problematic frame:
    # V [jvm.dll+0x5bd10]
    # An error report file with more information is saved as:
    # G:\My Documents\UCY\Graduate\Final Year Project\Persona\Testing\hs_err_pid1500.log
    # If you would like to submit a bug report, please visit:
    # http://java.sun.com/webapps/bugreport/crash.jsp
    I do not believe that this is a problem in my code as this was working before.
    Also the system works fine for about 20 iterations of the same code and then displays this error
    I also try to uninstall and reinstall java but with no luck.
    I am also attaching the log file that java has saved some information.
    Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

    gsnx.security.Login
    * LdapLoginModule Options:
    * ldap-url - LDAP connection URL, such as ldap://localhost:389
    * e.g. ldap-url="ldap://192.168.31.63:389"
    * dn-mask - The DN mask for user. The number 0 refers to the parameter
    * number for username. If this is specified then user search is ingored.
    * **This option is DEPRECATED**.
    * e.g. dn-mask="cn={0},ou=People,dc=gsnx,dc=com"
    * initialContextFactory - Class name of the initial context factory
    * e.g. initialContextFactory="com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtxFactory"
    * connection-username - The DN used by the login module itself for authentication to
    * the directory server.
    * e.g. connection-username="uid=admin,ou=system"
    * connection-password - Password that is used by the login module to authenticate
    * itself to the directory server
    * e.g. connection-password="password"
    * connectionProtocol - The security protocol to use. This value is determined by the
    * service provider. An example would be SSL.
    * e.g. connectionProtocol="ldap"
    * authentication - The security level to use. Its value is one of the following
    * strings: "none", "simple", "strong".
    * e.g. authentication="simple"
    * user-search-base - the base DN for the user search
    * e.g. user-search-base="ou=users,ou=system"
    * user-search-pattern - filter specification how to search for the user object.
    * RFC 2254 filters are allowed. For example: (uid=user1). To parameterize the value
    * of the CN attribute type, specify (uid = {0}). The number 0 refers to the parameter
    * number for username. This query must return exactly one object.
    * e.g. user-search-pattern="uid={0}"
    * user-search-scope-subtree - Directory search scope for the user (ture | false)
    * ture - directory search scope is SUBTREE
    * false - directory search scope is ONE-LEVEL
    * e.g. user-search-scope-subtree="true"
    * user-password-changepw-gsnx-handler - hander to change password
    * If this handler is not specified, the change password feature will not be available
    * if "com.gsnx.core.server.security.LdapLoginModule", is used the the
    * option - user-password-attribute is required.
    * e.g. user-password-changepw-gsnx-handler="com.gsnx.core.server.security.LdapLoginModule"
    * user-password-attribute - attribute in LDAP that stores the user password
    * If this is not specified, the change password feature will not be work
    * when "com.gsnx.core.server.security.LdapLoginModule", is used as
    * user-password-changepw-gsnx-handler
    * e.g. user-password-attribute="userPassword"
    * role-search-base - The base DN for the group membership search
    * e.g. role-search-base="ou=groups,ou=system"
    * role-name-attribute - LDAP attribute type that identifies group name attribute in the object
    * returned from the group membership query. The group membership query is defined
    * by the role-search-pattern parameter. Typically the group name parameter is "cn".
    * e.g. role-name="cn"
    * role-search-pattern - The filter specification how to search for the role object.
    * RFC 2254 filters are allowed. For example: (uniqueMember = {0}). The number 0
    * refers refers to the DN of the authenticated user. Note that if role membership
    * for the user is defined in the member-of-like attribute (see user-role-name
    * parameter) you may not need to search for group membership with the query.
    * e.g. role-search-pattern="(uniqueMember={0})"
    * role-search-scope-subtree - Directory search scope for the role (ture | false).
    * ture - directory search scope is SUBTREE
    * false - directory search scope is ONE-LEVEL
    * e.g. role-search-scope-subtree="false"
    * user-role-attribute - LDAP attribute type for the user group membership. Different LDAP
    * schemas represent user group membership in different ways such as memberOf,
    * isMemberOf, member, etc. Values of these attributes are identifiers of groups that
    * a user is a member of. For example, if you have: memberOf: cn=admin,ou=groups,dc=gsnx,
    * specify "memberOf" as the value for the user-role-name attribute. Be aware of the
    * relationship between this parameter and group membership query. Typically
    * they will return the same data.
    * e.g. user-role-name="memberOf"
    * ldap://ldap-qa.dev.e2open.com:389
    * ldap://192.168.31.63:389

    # This is the "master security properties file".
    # In this file, various security properties are set for use by
    # java.security classes. This is where users can statically register
    # Cryptography Package Providers ("providers" for short). The term
    # "provider" refers to a package or set of packages that supply a
    # concrete implementation of a subset of the cryptography aspects of
    # the Java Security API. A provider may, for example, implement one or
    # more digital signature algorithms or message digest algorithms.
    # Each provider must implement a subclass of the Provider class.
    # To register a provider in this master security properties file,
    # specify the Provider subclass name and priority in the format
    # security.provider.<n>=<className>
    # This declares a provider, and specifies its preference
    # order n. The preference order is the order in which providers are
    # searched for requested algorithms (when no specific provider is
    # requested). The order is 1-based; 1 is the most preferred, followed
    # by 2, and so on.
    # <className> must specify the subclass of the Provider class whose
    # constructor sets the values of various properties that are required
    # for the Java Security API to look up the algorithms or other
    # facilities implemented by the provider.
    # There must be at least one provider specification in java.security.
    # There is a default provider that comes standard with the JDK. It
    # is called the "SUN" provider, and its Provider subclass
    # named Sun appears in the sun.security.provider package. Thus, the
    # "SUN" provider is registered via the following:
    # security.provider.1=sun.security.provider.Sun
    # (The number 1 is used for the default provider.)
    # Note: Statically registered Provider subclasses are instantiated
    # when the system is initialized. Providers can be dynamically
    # registered instead by calls to either the addProvider or
    # insertProviderAt method in the Security class.
    # List of providers and their preference orders (see above):

    # Issuer name of the OCSP responder's certificate
    # By default, the certificate of the OCSP responder is that of the issuer

  • Solution - Battery error is detected. Irreparable damage to the battery has been detected. Replace

    I own a T61 7658 I bough on 2008, it worked great with the default power settings until October 22nd I decided to change my power profile to MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE.
    Next day I received on Message Center...
     10/23/2010 - Battery health is critical. With the current system settings and a full charge, your battery can provide approximately 3.0 hours of use. A new battery could provide up to an estimated 5.5 hours.
    I kept using the Laptop with the Max performance until...
    11/12/2010 - Battery error is detected. Irreparable damage to the battery has been detected. Replace the battery with a new one.
    I have used IBM/Lenovo  for years and even had used batteries for 5 years without a single issue.
    I have read many posts of people having the same problem not only with T61s, but many other Lenovo models, and also read posts of Lenovo's administrators suggesting this is normal and justifying that batteries should be good for at least 12 months and after that we are on own, basically meaning we should be thankful in name of our own safety that we had that battery protection and we must replace it at our own cost and forget about it.  That is a very easy way out, isn’t it.
    But certainly, not only batteries with more than 12 months are failing, even new batteries are and have been replaced with multiple exchange programs posted by Lenovo in their website just as in http://download.lenovo.com/lenovo/content/batt/082009/LandingPage.html. and also in multiple MIGR battery replacement campaigns available to all online as well.
    Good thing here is that Lenovo has recognized the problem and has exchange the batteries still under warranty and also few of the batteries without warranty limiting to some serial numbers on the MIGR battery replacement campaigns, but the bad side is that Lenovo is leaving behind other clients like me and many others not being selected for replacement.  But I’m sure we all have a good battery but turned useless due to the Lenovo programmed safety temperature limits in the power manager and the battery board.  Please let me explain.
    This is my conclusion.  There is nothing wrong with used or new batteries or their cells in 99% of the cases, I'm sure my battery is okay although is being turned useless by the battery protection feature on my T61.
    Lenovo must recognize the problem is the settings they have programmed on the power manager and battery protection board. It is very understandable that when users select a Power Scheme that demands higher amounts of power to generate better performance on the system this also demand additional power generating heat on battery and on the power supply as the computer is running at full performance, just as happens on my ipod when watching video, or in my kid’s R/C truck when running continuously and will happen with any other battery powered device.
    Therefore any scheme requiring performance is generating heat and is tripping the battery protection and this is not a client’s fault, as are we just using an available scheme provided on our Lenovo system. If the battery protection is not calibrated to support this power demand, then there is a poor design/testing of the capabilities of the system and the battery protection parameters that instruct the battery to save itself from a fire or burning … which is understandable.
    The bad side is that there is not possible reset option for the end users, the only option is to buy a new battery at our own cost after the 12 months of warranty, when the cause of the problem is originated in the computer system design settings and can happen at any time, that is way, the system warned me, as in:
     10/23/2010 - Battery health is critical. With the current system settings and a full charge, your battery can provide approximately 3.0 hours of use. A new battery could provide up to an estimated 5.5 hours.
    The computer is saying! At maximum performance, You are using too much power, and my battery will last just 3 hrs (9 cells on my system) instead of the 5.5 hrs that should last. But not only the running time was reduced, the heat on the power supply system and Battery was also increased due to the higher power demand, the battery can not handle the demand and protect itself to prevent fire or damage.
    So who has to pay for this?  Can Lenovo do something about it? For us client and for future clients?  This not a matter of having or not having warranty, this can happen at any time in any computer.
    I'm writing this hoping to be heard and supported and I hope LENOVO provides a satisfactory solution to the issue.  I'm not going to say will never buy Lenovo again I already did, I invested my money on Lenovo and with warranty or not I'm looking forward to get a decent response.
    Lenovo must change the parameters for tripping battery protection probably handled at BIOS level, and to provide a reset feature to all "locked" batteries there is many people that has lost at least one battery, some other more than that.  Since even if we get a replacement, the chances  the issue will continue is there, as long as I select a high power demand scheme the problem sooner or later will be back.   Even car makers support their clients beyond the warranty if they detect that the issue compromises safety and their reputation.  Fix it.

    I understand that your desktop computer is giving you an error message stating that the boot disk could not be detected, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
    To ensure that your hard drive you computer is trying to boot from is in working order, I recommend following the steps in this document on Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 8). This should help determine if there is a fault with the hard drive.
    If the hard drive passes all of the required tests, I recommend returning the BIOS back to its default settings by following this document on Recovering the BIOS.
    Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your reply!
