An unexpected error has occurred. Please quit

I keep getting this error with large key note presenations when I try and save them, add videos and so on...

If you are saving it on a network volume like iCloud or another server it sometimes freaks out. Due to a timeout error which affects your Autosave files and even Saved versions. Create it locally and you should be fine. If it still is not playing nice you might need more RAM. like 4gb/8gb

so Keynote still isnt working after installing, I thought you had it sorted from your last post.
If you have not done so remove any files relating to iWork and Keynote and reinstall iWork
    files that must go are:
    the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications;
the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support
the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library >

  • While ordering book:'Unexpected error has occurred, please try again later'

    Hello,
Not sure if this is a suitable forum, but when I was using Iphoto '08 V7.1.3 (latest version), and I tried to purchase an album, the following error always appeared : "Unexpected error has occurred, please try again later".
It always appears after iphoto has transfered all the data across after I click 'Buy Now'. And it is driving me crazy!
I called up apple support and have tried to do whatever they told me to, which includes:
    1) Creating a new album
    2) Creating a new apple i.d.
but its all futile! The dreaded message always appears!
Does anyone know if theres any way I can just SEND THE THING over manually, in a CD or something, cos I really want the album book! Or, do any technical guys here have any idea?? Im also kinda tired of waiting on the hold line on the phone!

I wish I could help - but I am having the same exact problem. It is totally frustrating to make the book and then go through all the steps only to have the same message appear.

  • "An unexpected error has occurred" - setting up Time Capsule - now happening on 2nd TC

    Hi!
I'm sorry if this has been asked a thousand times - I'm brand new to owning an iMac and a TC.
I tried to set my first TC up last week, got through to where it said, "Waiting for AirPort Time Capsule" and every time I would get "An Unexpected Error Has Occured, Please Try Again." Reset it 5 times, did everything again - same response. Called Apple Care, they had me do it another three times, got the same thing. Told me to drive the 50 miles one way to go to the Apple Store to return it. I did that tonight...
Now I have a new TC, and I was assured that it wouldn't happen again. Here I am....with the same error message at the same point in the setup.
I can connect to the internet through the TC on the brand new network I created (every time) - however, my brand new iMac will never configure the TC. I have the TC directly connected from my AT&T Pace Router to the TC by ethernet cable, and the globle on the AirPort Utility is the only thing on there, with the green light for the Internet - it says connected - all of that good stuff. At the bottom, it says, "No configured AirPort base stations have been found..."
I've updated everything I can on my iMac and through the AirPort Utility, so everything is up to date.
Anyone have any clues before I call Apple Care....again and they tell me that this has never happened before? (ugh)
    Thanks!

Sorry you have had such a bad first impression..
Is the ipv6 turned on? This was an after thought as they seem to have released both firmware and utility and woken up after the event to the fact they actually needed ipv6 on to manage it.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4597
Otherwise I don't see what you are using to connect to the TC from the iMac.. is it wired or wireless??
Can I suggest you do the setup again.
This time use ethernet to the TC.. in full isolation from the network. And do the setup manually.
You may need to factory reset again.. sorry about that .. and start over.. only the Mac plugged into the TC.. nothing else.
You may need further help just post where you get up to and we can sort out what is happening from there.
This often works easier at the start from the airport utility in iphone or ipad if you have one.

  • External Web Console Access SCOM 2012 R2 - An unexpected error has occured.

    Hello,
I have an issue when accessing the Web Console for our SCOM 2012 R2 environment - I have installed the web console on a standalone machine with mixed authentication - i have windows authentication enabled and NTLM is at the top of the providers list. I have
gone through the process of registering the SPN's and configuring constraint delegation. The SSL settings are ticked on the Default Web Site, the Monitoring View and the Operations Manager.
I have followed the article below when performing the install:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh298606.aspx#bkmk_toconfigurepermissionsinheritanceforthewebconsole
I have also reviewed the information here and the information provided on the attached document on this page but the issue remains: http://blogs.technet.com/b/momteam/archive/2008/01/31/running-the-web-console-server-on-a-standalone-server-using-windows-authentication.aspx
When we try to log into the Web Console remotely it appears to load to 100% but then brings up the error:

  • An unexpected error has occurred - photos

I just switched from iPhotos to the new Photos app.  When I first used it, it said it was converting my old iPhoto Library.  The next time I tried to open Photos, I got an error message,"An unexpected error has occurred.  Please quit and restart the application."  I've tried rebooting, and opening Photos with the alt key down and nothing seems to work.  I can't even open my old iPhoto library, because it says I need to the old iPhoto app to do it.  I have lost access to 40 + years worth of digital photos.  Can anybody help me?
My iPhoto Library was in Mark/Pictures/iPhoto Library.
There is now a new file called Mark/Pictures/Photos Library, but it won't open.

    Hi,
The error here didn't help much.
Please first take a try with what britishdhez suggested.
If it happens again, please click on the advanced tab and post the full error messages here. And please have a share about which wizard you were trying to run, to troubleshoot what?
In addition, please also take a check into Event Viewer to see if we could get any errors to track with.

Please make sure he has the edit permission.

    Hi,
Please first make sure the user account that you logon for performing the wizard is a member of the local Administrators groups or domain admins groups. And ensure that the Internet and intranet interfaces with different connection-specific Domain Name System
(DNS) suffixes. For more information, please refer to the checklist of DA server.

Also, try to uninstall the feature and reinstall it. With proper privilege to run the wizard again, to see if the issue still persists.
