An unexpected error occurred. Try Again.
I was having trouble with an AirPort Express, so I performed a factory reset. Now when I go into AirPort Utility to try to configure it, it spins for a while saying it's "Reading previous settings..." then it tells me "An unexpected error occurred. Try Again." I've tried this several times now with factor reset between each to no avail. Any suggestions? (Or is the AirPort Express simply shot?)
It should not be reading previous settings.. make sure you are doing the full factory reset and not a hard reset.
Also do the setup in full isolation to the network.. at least to begin with.. using ethernet connection.. turn off wireless in the computer. That gives you the best chance of success.
How old is the express? And did you upgrade it to latest firmware?? Thereupon you are having these issues.. downgrade the firmware again.

When you did those resets, did you continue to hold in the reset button until the status light blinked several times? If you didn't, then you didn't do a full reset.
Here's what I do to reset an AirPort base station: I unplug it, press in the reset button, then, while continuing to hold in the reset button, I plug it in. I have a Time Capsule that I couldn't configure at one point. To recover from that I had to unplug it for many hours. You might try unplugging your unit overnight.

I upgraded my Time Capsule from a 500GB disk to 2TB Seagate Barracuda
After resassembly and re-start the following occures
I attempted to Erase the new disk, unexpected error occurred - Try Again
I completed a hard factory reset
The Time time capsule is found by the Airport Utility, try to configure a new wireless network the same error occurs
Tried to update the firmware earlier before the factory reset, still the same problem.
Running out of ideas

Didn't think it was going to be that simple ....
I just upgraded to the latest 27" iMac, I had a USB drive attached for backups which was getting very noisy and annoying.
The master plan was to upgrade the 500GB TC, with a 2 TB Drive (fail by the look of it now) and use the upgraded 2TB TC for iMac and the MacBook Air backups and remove the Noisy USB.
I have now purchased a new 2TB TC, because the wife wasn't getting any WIFI at the front of the house (she was getting irate) ... as wives do LOL.
So now I need to revert the TC back with the old drive, to restore to working order.
I will then sell the Old TC and get something for it ... :-(
Use the 2 TB drive for a customer upgrade which has happended to come along now.

After starting airport utility, it searches and i select my time capsule. AU grinds for a minute and comes back with "An unexpected error occured. Try again."

After following setup guide my Airport TC 2TB will not get past the amber flashing light. Message is "an unexpected error occurred. pllease try again."
my cable modem allows me to connect to internet
my Airport allows me to connect to the internet while it is searching and preparing my network. When I cancel out after the error message above I lose internet connectivity.
Any help would be appreciated.
louisCompletely isolate the Mac and the TC from the network.. plug the TC lan port by ethernet to the Mac.
Factory reset the TC.
Factory reset TC Gen 5 or AE Gen 6
Unplug your AE/TC .. hold in reset and power the TC/AE back on.. without releasing the reset.. wait until status led flashes rapidly.
Make sure in the ethernet settings you have ipv6 set to link local and the dhcp set for ip. It should give you an address of 10.0.1.2
Open the airport utility, using the top menu.. File, Configure Other.
Type in the address, 10.0.1.1 .. no password is required at this stage.
Click ok and the main setup will open.
Set all the names short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
Set the TC to the right mode .. dhcp+nat for router or off (bridge mode) for bridge.
Set wireless to create a wireless network.
No luck then the TC is faulty and needs to be returned. -

Have you tried using a WEP password for your wireless network instead of a WPA one? That fixed it for me.

The Time Capsule is not providing a wireless connection.
When I reconnect my Time Capsule after a factory reset, the Airport Utility shows ther message"Unexpected error. Try again." I also get this if I cancel the Airport Utility app and restart it. I performed the factory reset again, restarted the Airport Utility and received the same error. What are the steps to debug and fix the wireless problem?
My Time Capsule is connected to my FIOS router and to my Mac Mini. I am still able to connect to the Internet from the Mini via ethernet. It seems that the Time Capsule acts as a bridge for the ethernet connections between Internet to FIOS, FIOS to Time Capsule, and Time Capsule to Mac Mini.Which model TC is this? The A1xxx number from the base please.
Try the setup in full isolation from the network.. so unplug the TC from the network.. and turn off wireless in the mini.. so you have mini--ethernet--lan port TC.. and nothing else.
Do the factory reset.
Now check if TC comes up in airport utility..
If it fails, turn on ipv6 local link.. if you are using 6.3 utility this could be necessary.
Still fails, try loading the v5 utility.. you will need to plug the computer back into the FIOS to get internet. Then depending on OS.. Lion according to your profile.. you can just down the utility.. ML takes more steps.

Do you have an iphone or ipad.. download the airport utility app and use those for the setup.. that can sometimes work better.
How to load 5.6 into ML.
1. Download 5.6 for Lion.

Click to open the dmg but do not attempt to install the pkg.. it won't work anyway.
2. Download and install unpkg.
http://www.timdoug.com/unpkg/
Run unpkg on the desktop.. it is very simple.. drag the AirPortUtility56.pkg file over to unpkg.. and it will create a new directory of the same name on the desktop.. drill down.. applications utilities .. there lo and behold is Airport utility 5.6 .. drag it to your main utilities directory or just run it from current location.
You cannot uninstall 6.1 (now 6.2 if you updated) so don't try.. and you cannot or should not run them both at the same time.. so just ignore the toyland version.. the plastic hammer.. and start using 5.6.. a real tool.

Hi all, i have a nokia C2 which i have been using for months now with my pop3 email account with no problems at all. The other day the phone received a software update and since then the email account was removed. Now when i try to setup the POP3 account again, i put the correct server information in and all i get coming back is 'Unexpected error. Try again later'
i've also tried setting it up with an alternate test pop3 account, and i get the same message.
Internet is working fine on the phone, and i tried setting up my GMAIL account which worked OK.
why has this phone update broken my pop3 email access?

Welcome to Nokia discussions board!
In order to fix this issue, I advise you to back up your data using Nokia Suite > connect device to PC and on Nokia Suite go to Tools Back up. Then once all your data is backed up, perform a hard reset: type *#7370# on the keypad. The default lock code is 12345.
Also, you may reinstall the software via the software updates tab in Nokia Suite.

In order to fix this issue, I advise you to perform a soft reset on your phone: type *#7780#. Default lock code is 12345. If the issue persists, perform a hard reset. First of all, back up your data using Nokia Suite (Tools > Back up). Once your data is fully backed up, type *#7370# on the keypad.
Alternatively, you may also check for updates on Nokia Suite (by going to Tools > Updates).

I changed my password with oracle directory manager and with portal builder but still i can't log me in portal builder.I changed my password without problems. Too changed my passwords with Oracle directory manager. I created 2 more users but only i can log me in to portal with the user PORTAL and PORTAL_ADMIN.
With any other user i have the same message error.
"An unexpected error occurred. please try again"
Too i've used el http..../oiddas with the same result.
I only have problem with web interfaces, because I can log me in to Oracle directory manager with the orcladmin user.
I'm confused.

Hello,
After upgrading to Spotify version 1.0.0.3251, I have had numerous issues with connecting, searching, and playing music as a Premium user. No matter what I do, whether it is under Browse, Discover, Radio, Search, Playlists, or my own user profile, I simply see the message "An error occured" and does not disappear no matter how many times I click the "try again" button. This occurs on both WiFi and cellular, even when other iPhone apps are able to successfully connect to the internet. When the Spotify app is in this pseudo-offline state, the only things I can do is play my offline-saved songs from my Starred list and change some in-app settings, but nothing more. It will not update with any changes I have made to my playlists from my desktop either.
The only way I have been able to get the Spotify app to reconnect to the service is by fully restarting my iPhone, and that only works some of the time. In the unlikely event that this does restore service, it doesn't last for very long, and it reverts to its "offline" state usually the first time I close the app or switch between WiFi and cellular.
Here are some things I've done to try to fix it:
Force-quitting Spotify from the iPhone task switcher. This changes nothing and does not fix the problem.
Logging out and back in. While Spotify allows me to log back in, everything still says "An error occured. This does not work.
Deleting the Spotify app and reinstalling it. Also does not work, even after successfully logging in as above. Also deletes all my backed up songs.
Reseting my network settings from iPhone settings menu. This helps none whatsoever.
Connecting via different WiFi networks / cellular settings. This also changes nothing. Remains in offline state.
Restarting the iPhone fully. This only sometimes work, and if it does, it quickly reverts to the ubiquitous "Error has occured" message.
Mashing random buttons and icons. Doesn't help, but makes me feel slightly better.
My Specifications:
Model: iPhone 5 (AT&T GSM)
iOS Version: 7.0.4 (Jailbroken, but this was never an issue before 1.0.0.3251. No extensions target Spotify.)
Spotify Version: 1.0.0.3251
Spotify Status: Premium (University Discount)

Thanks.I have the same problem. It is exremely annoying after playing my offiline playlist it fixes and I am able to search and or browse and listen to music not already on my playlists. Why does it do this? Never had this problem before the update. I have an iphone 5 not jailbroken.

Extended network unexpected error please try again
I am trying to re setup my airport extreme network I use two time capsuals and three airport extreme's all of varying generations. all was working fine as an extended network via ethernet for 11 months now trying to reset up the network ... I set up the main one from the modem to a switch no problem plug a mac into any of the data sockets no problem so network works fine. plug airport into sockets and although all airports are found every time i attempt to set up extended network " unexpected error try again " I have reset all airports time and time again, I am trying Utillity 5.6 and 6.1 and neather working better than the other. Any suggestions please
Yuk, your configuration looks like quite a mess. Even Senior Advisors at AppleCare won't help troubleshoot your networking past a limit of just 3 Apple routers
And that's assuming you didn't even have the switches involved...
Technically, what you mean is you have everything set up as a ROAMING network...not really extended.
Are you trying to mix wifi-extentions... to the roaming network? It's still a bit unclear. -

[Try the add on HTTPS Everywhere and disable youtube.com in the HTTPS Everywhere rules and I can watch YouTube videos in this Firefox profile as long as it's not over SSL]
In youtube you can also try to change the video quality or disable hardware acceleration.

I have set up the RWA and I can log in to the web console with my server account. However when I click on any of the shared folders I get this error:
An unexpected error occurred. Please try again. If the problem continues, contact the person who manages your server.

MaciekI had this very same issue with one of our customer's servers that was running Windows Server Essentials. I ended up calling Microsoft about the issue. I hope this helps someone. 1. We were getting unexpected errors while accessing shared folders remotely
2. The tech found IIS handlers were missing
3. She went to IIS > server level ( parent level) and added managed handler mapping :

I am having problems saving documents back to SharePoint when any of the document properties (metadata columns) are set to be "managed metadata". The check-in/save fails with error:

1. Which Adobe product are you using Acrobat or Adobe reader- what is the complete version?
2. How are you opening and saving the PDF, the exact workflow?
Are you doing it from within Adobe Reader/Acrobat application or opening it from browser, doing changes and saving it using browser itself.
3. Can you try to save a PDF to library with Custom template and managed metadata columns using browser directly.
4. Please verify that columns name do not contain spaces or some other special characters.
