This is my first attempt building a wordpress site using Dreamweaver and it's been nothing but unsuccessful.
I have downloaded and reinstalled Wordpress and Mamp at least 7 times, and even followed Lynda.com (Dreamweaver and Wordpress: Core Concepts) tutorials to ensure my testing server was executed properly, but I still can't resolve "an unknown error occurred while discovering dynamically-related files. Retry". I've rebooted my computer a handful of times and made sure I ran programs in a systematic order, but nothing. I'm running CS5 on a Mac.
As you can see from the first image, I have the error highlighted in yellow. Below I've added pictures from all the essential settings site setup in hopes I made a mistake and someone will catch it. PLEASE help me resolve this issue. I am so frustrated that I can't figure this silly problem out...

I looked through both articles again, and in both he notes that if you're using MAMP default ports, it's necessary to reference :8888. I am using the defaults and have included :8888 for that reason.
"Note: If you are using MAMP on Mac OS X, and decided to use the MAMP default ports, change the value of Web URL to http://localhost:8888/check_php/. Adding :8888 is necessary only if you're not using the Apache and MySQL defaults."
In any case, I've tried changing my ports to 80 and 3306, not including the :8888 in the URL, and I didn't get different results. For that reason I just returned to the MAMP default settings...

I am trying to set up Dreamweaver CC 2014 to work with my WordPress 4.0 site on the remote server where it is installed. Server access is fine, tests ok, files all listed and synchronize no problem. But whenever I try to discover dynamically related files I get "An unknown error occurred while discovering dynamically-related files". What's going on? (Permalinks are set to default btw)

Easily fixed! I just discovered that under my server settings I had both "Remote" and "Testing" ticked. I unticked "Remote" and it works fine. Only tick "Testing".

The above error is there if i press livew view or inspect
FTP works and is ok.
Same sample as before (php_test.php) like in a post from David Powers.
What is the reason for this unnomaly?.

Thanks for your response Jeff, you've pushed me in the right direction and now my problem is solved.
What I didn't realise was that I had to have a valid test server setup for this to work (I just had an empty folder on a server).
So I've installed and setup the site locally using WAMP and now the files are all correctly discovered.
Not sure this will help you all, but hopefully, what Jeff as said will get you going soon.

Having trouble running Joomla files in Dreamweaver CS5.
"unknown error has occurred while discovering dynamically-related files"
Setup testing server and have checked settings again and again. Localserver is XAMPP and everythig running as it should there. Am I missing a DW extention?
Would be very greatful for any pointers!

I have made so many changes to settings meanwhile and become so fustrated that i´m not sure what triggered it to work anymore.
In anycase I enjoyed my day here in Adobe Forums. I did alot of reading (alot!) and would like to say thanks to SnakEyez again aswell as thanks to all the other users I have taken notes from.
here are the settings I have ended up with:
- Joomla1.6 installed in c:xampp/htdocs/ (no subfolders)
- local site folder and testing server folder are C:\xampp\htdocs\. (settings phpmysql and testing server applied)
- site specific code hints: joomla
- windows firewall disabled / zonealarm shutdown (creating program rule and opening port did not work)
- unchecked "use alternative port 80" in skype (dnt forget to restart)
I could install and run Joomla in localhost before, but couldn´t open in DW until making these changes.
Dreamweaver CS5 and xampp-win32-1.7.4
Hope this helps the next guy.

I've seen that a number of times with 7x upgrade files. I would like to say it's consistent but it hasn't always been. I've done a number of upgrades and sometimes I would run across that issue and other times, I would not (there would be multiple files in the SFTP path). After a few times, I just started always putting my upgrade file in a dedicated folder.

I have a site that I imported to make some design changes.
When I click on a page, I get this bar along the top which says
This page may have dynamically-related files that can only be discovered by the server.
There are two options, Discover and Preferences
I left Preferences as default because I do not know what to set
When I click Discover, I get - An unknown error occurred while discovering dynamically-related files Retry
but it doesn't say what the error is or how to repair it.

imported site from where? and the dynamic content or files might be coming from a database.

Try: downloading with your browser with no addon or third party download manager tools. making sure you can traceroute to download.msdn.microsoft.com, checking with your ISP.

I am not able to run Report in Report viewer due to the below error:

Hi All,
Upon investigation found that there was no space (0 Byte is available) in E drive where underlying SQL DB is residing.
Once I cleared the space, report started working and above error was not displaying.

When I try to look at properties of an existing Private Cloud, I get this error, only if I "look" at certain attributes. If I stay away from the specific attributes, everything is hunky dory. For reasons unknown, after I get this error, I have
to exit and go back into VMM in order to get anything else to run.
The text in the error dialogue box is not entirely applicable because I was connected to the VMM server and will connect again, when I exit/relaunch.

When I run the report on production I got the following error message:

It hasn’t happen on Dev and Test before.
I googled, The error is described as:
12019 ERROR_INTERNET_INCORRECT_HANDLE_STATE
The requested operation cannot be carried out because the
handle supplied is not in the correct state.
But I cannot find the solution for that.
Has it happend to you before? How to solve that?

I'm trying to move my OWB repository from machine_1 to machine_2 this is what I did:
1. Export of the OWB metadata for the entire project. (machine_1)
2. Import of the OWB project in machine_2, import is successfull.
3. Configure locations for the source/target schemas (double, triple checked)
4. deploy the objects...

Even more, this happens when I create a new FACT and a new shared table (located in another location) so it isn't the repository metadata being imported. If I remove the constrainsts referencing tables in other schemas then deployment is successfull.
Repository resides in an oracle database 10g r2 and OWB is 10.2.0.3 running on a cluster machine with AIX 5...
Any ideas how to solve this or a possible workaround?

I have two cubes which I'm trying to drop via the control center, so that I might add a new version with a new dimension. However, when I try deploying the drop, I get the "VLD-0917 - unknown error occured while generating <cubename>" together with:
An unknown error occurred while generating <cubename>. Error details: java.lang.NullPointerException.
Any ideas?
