Analysis required on Ramp Slow mo ?
Hello Team,
I'm looking forward to buy the Adobe after effects. Working on the "Ramped Slow mo" for one of my project.
I would like to know the below points ,
1. How the ramped slow mo is working in adobe after affects. Can you please advice on the core implementation ?
2. My understanding is "Time length to be increased". My doubt is apart from time lenght or time stretch , will there be any variation in audio pitching ?
If you change the frame rate you change the audio playback. No way around that.
The easiest way to ramp to slow mo is to use Time Remapping. Enabling time remapping will set a keyframe at the beginning and ends of your comp. Make sure that your comp is long enough to accommodate the slow mo. Set a keyframe where you want the speed change to start and then drag the last keyframe down the timeline. Adjust the ramp using the graph editor. It's fairly straight forward.
If you want to start at normal speed, ramp to slow mo, then return to normal speed you have to set a keyframe for the start and the end of the slow mo, then when you drag out the slow mo section you have to select the last two keyframes.
Be aware that changing the speed of a clip and editing the time remapping in the graph editor requires you to think differently. It takes a while to get used to the way things happen in the timeline when you start adjusting the frame rate of the playback. The graph is showing you the real time in seconds as the clip was recorded. The flatter the line the slower the video will play back. The steeper the line the faster.
This example shows a clip that plays back normal then ramps to a slow section, then ramps back up to normal speed. Without 3rd party software this is your easiest solution.

it's circumstantial to assign a ramped slow motion effect (time remapping with smooth transition) to a part of a clip — e.g. seen in this video tutorial:

But how it is possible to automate these steps when I want to have this effect multiple times within one clip?
Is there a possibility to copy&paste the time-speed settings to another clip selection? Assignin the copied attributes (via mouse context menu I found in Premiere CS6) results in unexspected results...

mtempShow us the timeline and not the graph editor... A time remapped sequence should look like this.
Because you showed us a screenshot with the graph editor and not the timeline it makes me think that you did not extend the out point of the video. The only way to extend the out point of the video in the graph editor view is to move the CTI (current time indicator) to the end of the comp and press Alt/Option + ] to reset the out point. You can't do it by clicking and dragging in the Graph Editor.
Also, if the entire clip does not preview then you may not have enough ram. I always have my Composition Resolution/Down Sample set to Auto and usually preview at a composition Magnification Ratio value of 50% or 25%. -

I have a requirement to create an analysis to achieve the following.
1. Compare a Company sale with other companies’ sales (one or more). e.g. Let’s say Oracle’s sale is 2000 and Other Companies (Microsoft and SAP together) sale is 5000.
2. Compare a Company sale with the Industry sales. e.g. Let’s say Oracle’s sale is 2000 and the industry (Database Industry) is 50000.
I need to show this information in the same analysis and I have a Company Dimension, Industry Dimension and a Sales Fact.
I will have two prompts in the Dashboard one for to choose Company 1 and another one to choose multiple companies and/or the Industry. Since both companies are coming from the same dimension how to apply different filters? Also when I filter by Industry it should only filter values of the comparison measure (it should not filter the Sales measure of Company 1).

I've been recently trying out a few things in Premiere to get a bit of the feeling of it. But then i got to a problem where i wanted to slow down the video to a full pause. (i would like to know how to make it full pause then continue again as well), but whatever video i may be watching, i just seems to get different results. Even if follow every video to the smallest step.
So i was wondering if someone could teach/show me how to go from 100% speed and ramp down to 0%. It might be easier in After Effects, i don't know... But both the video and sound should come to a full stop... Whichever method may be working best.
I've added a small clip i was trying to work on. I tried to slow down as the car on the left is about to fall off the edge and make it a full stop once he's completely out of the scene and fallen off the platform.

I have a requirement in which I need to write a functional specification for a program. I need to fetch the payer data which is having KNA1-ZZDTCESS value populated(Payer which are having this field value blank no need to fetch those payer).ZZDTCESS is the cession date and this is a custom field in KNA1.Its data element is DATUM.
Now after fetching this KNA1-ZZDTCESS value of the payer this needs to be updated to the all the sold-to-party which are attached to this payer.Sold-to-party also having this custom field.
Finally we need to develop a batch job which will run this program to udpate the ZZDTCESS value in the Sold-to-Party.

Refreshing the Data Source View in Analysis Services
I have added columns to the SQL Database table that is used as a dimension in an Analysis Services Cube. The new columns will be used as additional Property Fields for the dimension. When I attempted to refresh the Data Source view so that the additional columns are present, I am given the following error:
System.Data
Property not accessible because 'Parent Columns and Child Columns don't have type-matching columns'
I have done nothing to the columns used for the parent of child and the error message provides nothing to gon on. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

1) I have not tried removing the columns yet. I will try that this afternoon but have limited hope. The two columns I added are simple text columns that will be used as attributes in the dimension. I have made no change to the parent or child columns.
2) The table I modified is the source table for a parent-child dimension.
3) The reference to the "check list" does not take me to any kind of check list.
4) The parent-child dimensions I am trying to modify have been in use for months and the parent and child columns do have the dame data types.
5) I have also check the data types between the dimension table and the fact table. they use the same data types (small int).
6) I have not made a collection for the parent key, it is a single column. The remainder of your last paragraph is not clear to me. Can you give me an example.
I am fairly inexperienced with Analysis Services, please talk slow and use small words :-)

Sample code for slow moving material report?
Hi all,
I have a requirement to display slow moving mateial report on a particular goods issue date and material wise.
The basic requirements are
1. Movement type '261' and material, plant are select-options.
2.last goods movement date based on parameter.
3. Display the quantity available
but here i am getting a problem that i couldn't find the last goods movement for that particular material with specific storage location as one material document containing more than one item. So please help? Also what logic i have to use to display quantity available?
Please specify the sample code or logic for above requirement?
Any custom slow moving report codes also very helpful?

I'm using a Mid 2012 MBP retina 2.3Ghz i7 with 8GB of ram 256SSD. for the past 2 years my write speeds has been consistently on 400MB/s and up via black magic test. but now it only have 100MB/s going down to 80MB/s. what should I do???? I have already cleaned and even restored my MBP still it's on 100MB/s. please help. I have to finish tasks on a timely manner.
No. This requires completely repartitioning the SSD. You can do that only by using the Network Recovery method or the method I outlined. My method preserves all your data and doesn't require doing a slow Network Recovery. But if you wish to do that instead. The purpose of the whole exercise is to "clean" the SSD of garbage collected during use that tends to cause the SSD to slow down as you've described.
Install OS X Using Internet Recovery
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
Partition and Format the hard drive:
Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
After DU loads select your newly installed hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button. Set Zero Data - one-pass, click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
This should restore the version of OS X originally pre-installed on the computer. -

Beavis2084Not a recent issue. There are definitely "world leaks" occurring, which not only create higher RAM requirements, but also slow down connections to sites or navigation within the sites. My temporary remedy is to use Activity Monitor to keep track of Safari. Once it exceeds 250 mb RAM, I restart it. Other alternative is using Firefox.
A search of the forum using "safari slow" produces over 100 posts of mostly complaints.
I've sent a "bug report" to Apple. I suggest you let Apple know too.

I got my MBK last week. Installed office on it and some apps like dreamweaver, eclipse and MSN. Ever since it is very very slow ( i get soo tired of the swirly wait icon). I got 1GB of memory, running msn, eclipse and word kind of turns my MBK into this extremely slow machine. clicking on expose takes like 20 seconds to show and update the widgets. Is this normal behaviour? I would have expected something better from a brand new machine. are there diagnostic tools? should i reinstall .. put in more mem?
While I don't know about Eclipse, what is probably happening is that your system is running out of RAM. Applications like Dreamweaver, Microsoft Office etc are not either Universal or Intel Binaries and hence, require Rosetta (Apple's PowerPC code translator to allow PowerPC applications to work on Intel hardware) to operate.
This is all well and good although Rosetta is quite the memory pig and the more applications you have open that require Rosetta the slower your system will go unless you have ample RAM.
Upgrading your RAM to the maximum 3GB will definitely help. Additionally, try to keep the number of open applications you have to a minimum when you need to use PowerPC applications.
For emperical data have a look at the page out to page in ratio (Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor > System Memory) and note that when this ration goes over around 10% or so you are lacking in RAM. Any more than 10% and you are seriously lacking in RAM.
PS By the way… you've posted this in the Mac Pro forums and not the MacBook Pro forums. You might want to post there the next time as you'll get more specific, and hopefully better, help over there…

Stock/Requirements by Material on Quarterly Buckets
Hello, I would like to know if there is (are) any standard reports in SAP which can provide past Consumption, Requirements and stock in quarterly buckets. This way a user would know the trend and adjust the safety stock, if needed. I tried MC.9, though it has most of this information, I cannot expand all this information by material. Any help is greatly appreciated

I also removed Jungle Disk. The biggest surprise I have since the early days is that finder sometimes takes forever to load. Sometimes, Activity Monitor takes a while too. Little by little, I've been removing things to see if I can get an improvement. Maybe I also need to reboot more often.

How do you acquire multiple image buffers and save to disk later?
Good morning everyone,
I am working with the LabVIEW code posted below. I am taking images through a CCD camera at a high frequency. Therefore, I need this code to be able to keep up with the trigger. I take anywhere from 30 to a few 100 images and acquire them through buffers. The code I have now (which I got from someone else in my lab; I did not write it) saves the images in the for loop in which each is required. This slows down the code considerably. Timing is important to my application. Does anyone know if there is a way to set each buffer aside after they are acquired and then save them to disk AFTER all the images are acquired. I think this will allow the code to keep up with the trigger.
As a side question, I would like to have the code trigger my camera on both the rising and falling edge of the trigger pulse. As you can see from the code, I tried to set this up, but the method I tried doesn't work; each time a new trigger is setup it wipes out the old one. Is there a way to set up 2 triggers?

Save_Image_Matt_Trig.vi 46 KBLeft from the loop there's an "Array Subset" vi because I didn't use the first two pictures of the ring.
So you can forget about it and wire the ring directly to the "For Loop".
You can see the Ring as an array of images, so basically you don't need any VI to retrieve an image from the ring, just an "Index array" will do.
Wire the output of the "Index array" to an image control.
This is of course if you first fill the ring and then process it.
If you want live images, then you can use the vi you're using to extract an image from the buffer but I understood that you want to acquire images as fast as possible and process them afterwards.
Correct? Yes, then you don't need the "IMAQ Extract Buffer" vi.
And yes, you can remove everything from the loop, just check if the number of frames is reached.
When all frames are acquired, quit the loop and process the ring buffer.
I checked your code again, and observed that you do nothing with the ring buffer
You build it up in the first For loop and delete it at the end of the code but never used it in the loop
I attach a larger view of the acquisition loop, so that you can have a better idea of the whole ring stuff.
I have a shift register for the ring so that all states can access it.
The state "Save all images" loops through the array, to save the images one by one.
I'm sorry I can't post the complete vi, it's way too large and contains lots of sub vi's to analyse the images and handle the I/O toward the process line.
