Anamorphic still not exporting properly. This never seems answered

I shot a video on a Canon XM2 in anamorphic 16:9, edited it on avid, now iv moved it home to my mac and added effects on FCP.
I want to export it, among other things to put it on youtube. It always exports as anamorphic. I know FCP allows you to view it as squashed into 16.9 but how do i actually convert it to make it ACTUALLY widescreen -
i know seems to be a regular question, but it never seems to be answered
If its impossible to do on final cut, is there another programme that actually can squash the shape into the correct aspect ratio i want?

There are 2 ways to do this. You can make sure that the Properties for the quicktime are set up to display an anamorphic file correctly, or you export with 16:9 pixel dimensions.
That's the answer. If you need help in accomplishing this, post back. You might also want to do some research on preparing a video for youtube.

Apple says clearly that it is Adobe responsibility
and Adobe tells to contact Apple...
And none of the companies are telling when and if there will be a fix.
I'm ready to go back to PC where hardware companies

'm having a problem with downloading and installing the new version of itunes for windows (11.1.4) I have done everything the troubleshooting article has said and it is still not working properly. I have even done a repair to see if that works and it has not. Has anyone else found a new way to get it working?

Fire fox is back to not exiting properly this started again at about version 17 . I have reinstalled reset it but no luck.

Make sure that Firefox closes properly and that there isn't a hanging Firefox or plugin-container process left in the task manager.
Try to use "Firefox/File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit") to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the title bar.

No that isn't normal. Did the actual download start yet? Even when I last updated my iOS in iTunes from 4.3.5 to iOS 5 it took only about 90 minutes - start to finish - download the update, install the iOS, restore iPad from my backup, and sync everything back again to the iPad - and up and running as usual.
That was a 750+ MB download and I did it on the evening that iOS 5 was released and the Apple servers were overloaded with users trying to update as well. -

Exporting to PDF from rpt file and charts within not exported properly
I am having issues when export .rpt file to pdf report using crystal report java. When exporting from Crystal Report, it displays the charts and boarders properly but when exporting using Java application the back ground colors and boarders disappears or fades. It makes the report look unprofessional. I am using version 2.0.
Looking at this release note at the this link (http://www.businessobjects.com/products/dev_zone/eclipse/cr4e-updates-readme.pdf ) I see a reference to "JRC SDK RTF exporting is not consistent with CR RTF exporting" has been fixed in Release Update 8. I tried the latest release but it seems it has release update 4 only. So, my question is where do I get Release update 8? I am hoping that will fix my issue or if anybody has any suggestions that will help me resolve it. If you can reply at your earliest, I would really appreciate it.

HTML5 Player still not working properly on Win 8.1 N

I am writing here because firefox still doesnt work properly on 8.1 N version,
and since it's happening for several months already... Maybe you don't even know about it ? :O
So the problem is that I can't play mp3 content uploaded to eg. SOUNDCLOUD, BANDCAMP, etc.
Yes, namely the mp3 content, if it was uploaded as a WAV, it plays fine (figured this in the midst of discussion in soundcloud support forums).
It just keeps throwing these

So the problem seems to come about windows 8.1 N versions only, since they don't have the windows media player bundle.
I've tested and confirmed that same version firefox works on another windows system which had the 'regular' windows.philipp, thank you for your answer :)
Meh, if it goes down to plain licensing problems, guess I am forced to install the media player bundle.. :(
Didnt think of it up to now, and kinda thought this would be a problem on mozzila's end, but now I understand they simply can't include that licensed stuff :/

What's with Tracked Packet & Paypal Labels - still not working properly?
This is probably an old refrain, but honestly, how many months/years has it been since Tracked Packet was added to Paypal labelling, and it seems it's still not working 100% correctly. Case in point: I rarely use TP, but when I tried to change my listing's shipping type from Small Packet to TP yesterday while preparing a label, I got an error message saying the information was incorrect and I couldn't complete the process with TP. I used the back button, tried inputting the details again, still no go. Finally, I decided to back out completely, return to the Paypal transaction page and start all over. This time I was able to get the label done. So it seems that if any other shipping type is input first, you can't change your mind and switch to TP during the process. This has never been a problem with Expedited Parcel or with Xpresspost -- you can input the details, check pricing, then return and change the shipping type as many times as desired. I'm wondering if the problem is me and/or my browser (again??), or does anyone else experience this annoying glitch? BTW, Tracked Packet is an air service, right? If not, I may be in trouble. I ask this because I see the estimated delivery time is from 4 to 15 days -- quite a spread for TP U.S.A.
Tracked Packet has always done the error since it was introduced. If another shipping option is used when you go to PayPal shipping from eBay, switching to Tracked Packet does not reset the form from the service that you came into. You cannot see anything but the form has not been reset. To get around this is simple. You need to reset the form. A trick to do this is to go to the Service Type entry box, select "Select Type" as the service and click "Continue" at the bottom of the page. This will generate an error message at the top saying to "Please enter a valid service type." This resets the form to the starter defaults and now you can select the Tracked Packet service. All the information that was entered will not be lost. I posted this solution way back when this "glitch" was first mentioned years ago when Tracked Packet was introduced. It was sent to kalvin at the time but he left eBay and it was never fixed. It is hard to get things fixed on eBay.ca Canada but it seems impossible to get anything fixed on PayPal shipping for Canada Post shipping issues.

Cuts from Screen Recording do not export properly
I did a simple screen recording using Quicktime X. I used Mpeg Streamclip to convert it to the codec of my timeline. I inserted a few short cuts from the screen recording. Everything looked great. However, when I export the timeline, the cuts from the screen recording do not export with the set in and out points they were cut to. The cuts, and only the cuts, from the screen recording seemed to shift in time. Its as if FCP did a random slip edit to the screen recording cuts. really weird.
I then exported each cut to an individual self-contained quicktime file, and I got the exact same results. And the shifts in time were also exactly the same. really weird. Did Apple put some kind of restriction on using the screen recordings in FCP??
any suggestions on a workaround?I sorta found a workaround myself. Instead of converting the entire screen recording clip in Mpeg Streamclip, I simply set the specific in and out points I wanted in Mpeg Streamclip and exported the clips that way. Once in FCP, there was no extra footage for the random slip edits to occur and the final export looked as it was intended. I am still interested in any other possible solutions.

Illustrator not exporting properly

Yes, it's a gradient on a stroke. I think you helped me make it. I saved or exported it under just about every type of format and they all seemed to have those white triangles. I fixed a JPG version in photoshop with the content aware tool but if Illustrator has a bug I thought I should post it.

Why is rename files at publish still not working properly?
LR5.5 renames only a few of all files when publishing to hard drive and in a strange way...
26 files, LR renames 9 of them...

I updated to 7.02 this morning, and now when I go to use the keyboard, it does not respond. Then all of a sudden after a few seconds, all the typing shows. Made it very hard to put in the password, and now texts are VERY frustrating as I can not even use the backspace button.

GPS metadata not exporting properly to JPEG
I'm shooting in RAW (Nikon NEF) and using a third party tool to geotag my photos. It creates an XMP file for each of my raw images and includes the keywords and GPS coordinates. Lightroom is able to read and display this content properly.
When I export my photos to JPEG, however, the GPS data seems to be getting "corrupted". If I look at the JPEG properties in Windows Explorer, here's what I see:
There's something wrong with the latitude and longitude, but altitude appears OK. When I upload the files to SmugMug, it doesn't seem to recognize any GPS data either.
Is this a bug in Lightroom, or am I doing something wrong? FWIW I am using version 2.4 64-bit.I had been experiencing this very same problem, and it drove me crazy. Luckily, after searching for the answer on multiple forums, I found a solution. MetaX is a program designed specifically for tagging iTunes movies. Not only can you manually input all the required information, but you can also automatically input all the information from outside sources from within the program. It worked beautifully for me with my copy of Donnie Darko, which I ripped using HandBrake.
