Ok here we go agian, hopefuly now someone can help us with this problem :( ..
A friend of mine had right befor his hollyday a system crash, he told me he did something in his BIOS and now he had a BLACK screen, wel as i dont life near him we had to wait untill he was back from his hollyday...
I starded by clean his system (alot of dust and nicotine) and checked all devices in his system if they where working ok, well by the looks of it there was nothing wrong, but still we got a BLACK screen so i shorted his BIOS (wipe it clean) and i put back to the origenal jumper settings....
And it worked system had his vedio device screen back and it was running again, so we started out installing windows 2000 Pro as this system has to run like a server.
But as the system was running its instalation i get every time the same error namely:
Error... ACPI is not compatible with BIOS blah blah...
I checked this and found alot of tips but none worked, i tryed BIOS updates, IRQ check, CHIP bypass software, Barebone instalation, installing from the 4 discs and CD-rom, diabled APM in BIOS nothing realy works...
PLEASE ppl from MSI take this problem serious couse im getting a bit crazy, i mean this is a small problem (i gess) why does'nt anything help...
And i know more ppl are having the same problem...

Our footages frame size are of 3840x2160 and some of footages are 4096x2160. frame rates are 29.97, also as of now we are editing on 29.97, snap shot of sequence settings attached herewith for reference, but need output on 25fps. if the device I connected have caused this, shouldn't the macbook itself have some type of protection that should prevent this from happening.
because when I took it to an apple certified maintenance shop, the guy said that now it could only run while connected to the power. it won't run on batteries. and that I have to change the motherboard.
can I just replace the damaged part only, would apple consider this as a design issue and they could pay for it, or should I just buy a new motherboard for 800$.

The problem is in finding a tech shop that will/can do board level repairs on Macs. They are few. And I certainly wouldn't spend $800 on a new logic board - I would replace the computer if I had to pay that much!
You could call around to a few repair shops and see if they feel competent to isolate the problem and do a board level repair - but I'm afraid, in the end, that your search will be futile.

HT3224 I am new to Mac and started transferring data from my PC to my new Macbook Pro. Connection was lost once I started and now my Pro is stuck on the 'Transferring Information' screen. How do I get out of this screen to attempt the connection again?

If your Mac and PC are connected by Ethernet, unplug and plug that cable again. If not, you have to turn off the MacBook by holding the Power button.
In the next startup, try to transfer your files again. It's important not to interrupt the transfer process, because in most cases, you will stop it and you won't be able to resume it

Go to Finder > Preferences then select the General tab
Make sure External disks is selected.

Though it's unlikely to be wrong if things were set up properly in the first place, as a check go to Mail Preferences>Accounts and check that the server setting for IMAP (incoming) is imap.mail.me.com (not just mail.me.com).
Your next step either way would be to go to System Preferences>iCloud and sign out, then sign back in again. (You can ignore warnings about data disappearing - your calendars etc. will disappear when you sign out but reappear when you sign back in).

Download of the Application can be done through your account on adobe.com.

As long as the report ends up with 'Permissions repair complete' then, as far as permissions go, you are fine. You can ignore the various statements in the report:

HT3964 Finally got to the reset SMC step and this worked. Powered the Mac Book Pro A1150 on the following morning and again grey screen and this time the SMC reset refuses to work!

After following the Apple knowledge base support notes on resetting the SMC I finally got to the reset SMC step and this worked. Powered the Mac Book Pro A1150 back up on the following morning and again grey screen and this time the SMC reset refuses to work!
The battery still as before indicates not charging and no lights on the battery pack confirm this along with the system profiler which suggests the battery should be replaced. The charger itself actually works ok.
Any further advice would be useful.

Problems with KT4V and AtiRadeon 9700 Pro...

I have lots of problems with my current configuration with games (lock ups) and even in normal use. Also I'm not able to run 3DMark through to see with kind of results would I get. Car chase (high) gets very low fps and the nature test doesn't even work. I have tried different 4in1 drivers and BIOS versions. With 1.6 BIOS version I had lots of CRC errors (should be corrected in BIOS ver. 1.7 but in expense of data rate?). Does anyone have any suggestions so that I could for example go through the 3DMark even with the expense of performance?
I had those game lock up problems also earlier with KT7A-100 RAID + AtiRadeon 64 (3DMark worked) so I bought new graphic card (didn't help) and after that I bought the new mobo. I know my config is not the best in the world, but I think it should be enough to give some happy moments in ever so demanding games... for a while...
There is also one thing that is quite strange. In my display adapters there is two drivers for AtiRadeon (primary in AGP and secondary in PCI)? I'm not expert, but isn't that weird? I have tried installing different drivers again and again (also reinstalled OS) with no luck! Trying to delete the secondary one doesn't help...

the 9700 is the most powerfull vga to date and needs power evan more than a gf4 4600
i would lbe looking at some think like an antec true powe 430 watt psu not a basic 300 watter
with ati,s own cards you need revision 1.3 as well best i can recall,but yours is an oem so im not sure

IDVD and DVD Studio Pro hang and crash since 10.5.6 update

Seems like there are a lot of problems since this 10.5.6 update... I came here b/c of a prob with iDVD and DVD Studio Pro not working anymore. Was just trying to "Share/Export" an iMovie project to iDVD (and then tried again with DVD Studio Pro) and the program just hung and crashed and also wouldn't let me Restart or Shutdown very easily either. What gives?

Providing specifics on all the ways to do this will take more time than I am willing to spend here these days. You can do some of this with Home Sharing. You can transfer the entire library from one computer to another, If you do that you can delete what you don't want from the transferred library.
Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the option (alt) key (shift on Windows) so you get a prompt to select a library, then guide it to the 'iTunes Library.itl' file in the moved iTunes folder. If you put the copied iTunes folder in the default location of Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Music then you don't even need to start with the option key held down, iTunes will automatically look for it there. (Make sure there isn't anything already in the iTunes folder there that you want to keep since you will be replacing it with the one you are moving.)
You do not want to use a new AppleID. Change the AppleID on the new phone to the old ID. Purchases made with one AppleID cannot be transferred to a different one and it will be a royal pain to manage two Apple IDs.
Change iTunes Store account on an iOS device - Log out of your current account with Settings.app > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) > tap on your AppleID. Log in with a different account.
