Yeah, the capital letter issue, it's a self inflifted burden. Too much time, and being anal. I like my files to be, well, perfect. Sad, yes.

are you backing up files, or doing a Time machine backup, either way, the Time machine will STOP when finished and show "last backup at XXXXXX" meaning its done...... OR if when transferring files, it will show a progress bar on your desktop and vanish when files are copied.
Open up the Hitachi drive (your G drive is made by Hitachi, and the best made by the way).....and see if the files are there.
a MORE VISUAL way is to open the hard drive file, and drag and drop files INTO the Gdrive and you can see them visually be copied there as you do it.
To see your HD on your desktop GOTO FINDER......PREFERENCES....then GENERAL TAB.........check the box marked HARD DRIVES.........then your Gdrive will appear on your desktop........open it from there, and DRAG and drop files from anywhere INTO the Gdrive....... easy visual way to see the files being copied into the Gdrive.

Seems like I go through this problem time and again with Photoshop + Acrobat CS2 and still have yet to resolve a way of fixing it short of completely wiping my drive and re-installing Windows (XP Pro) The error is "application library failed to load and the product cannot continue"
If there is anyone out there that has figured out a way to fix this issue please fill me in.
This time I went as far as a complete and though removal of all Adobe products from the system and the registry and then completely reinstalled the product.
I have forgone purchasing CS3 because of this issue as I am 99% sure that it has still not been resolved.
Basically Photoshop and Acrobat are useless at this point and I am using an old version of Picture Publisher and Macromedia Fireworks to complete my work. This I assume is good advertising for Adobe :)
Anyone have any ideas????

foud your message very helpfull. I experience the same problem when strating a CS2 program (Photoshop, Indesign,...) over a terminal server connection.
It's weird because starting more than one instance is possible (despite what's written in the article ) as long as the users have administrative rights. I've encountererd this problem because my daughter of 11 wants to use Photoshop now. I have a terminal server set up so the kids may experiment with their own desktops whithout the risk to screw it up and because I can access all my programs from wherever I want.
But as I found out now I must buy volume licensing instead of retail (even if it's for just one instance...)
Want to know if possible how "difficult" it was to change your retail to a volume licensed version? Did you have to pay the full amount again? Hope an upgrade exist from Creative Suite CS2 - retail to Creative suite CS3 - volume licensed for the same price as from retail to retail... Or am I hoping to much?

I am getting the following error each time I open Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional...
"An error has been detected with a required application library and the product cannot continue. Please reinstall the application."
I have tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the program. It didn't help, got the same error shortly after opening the program.
What is strange is that the problem just suddenly appeared therefore, I believe that it may have been malware related causing this problem. And I have had this program and have been using it without any problems now for over 3 years.
It appears that a vital part of the program is being blocked.
Can anyone please help and offer a detailed solution to this problem? Maybe someone has already encountered it.

Upon re-reading that information, I am curious as to why your believe that this will solve my issue. That is not related to my error message: "An error has been detected with a required application library and the product cannot continue. Please reinstall the application."
I have not received any such message as the one seen on that page.
Please explain why I wouldn't have gotten that partcular message and instead got the one I quoted above?

Try to start Firefox in [[Safe mode|Safe mode]]. This mode disables all extensions, user customizations, hardware acceleration, etc. temporarily for diagnostic and troubleshooting. If Firefox works find in Safe Mode, then this is likely an add-on issue. Restart Firefox in normal mode, then type "About:addons" (without the quotes) in the address bar. Disable your extensions one by one, restarting Firefox between each one, until you find the trouble maker. Once you do, you can disable that add-on and report the issue to that add-on's developer.
A few other basic trouble shooting things you can try is this:
Run all Windows Updates, install all needed service packs, etc.
Update your graphics driver (Firefox uses your graphics card for some rendering, and an out of date graphics card driver can cause problems. [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers].

You are in Recovery Mode.
You need to connect to iTunes and restore.
Hopefully you have a backup.

This Quicksilver 2002 was bought at a government auction and had no software with it, so I bought a set of system installer disks from someone on a Mac discussion list who said they were the right ones for it. Maybe he was wrong. The fine print on the X installer disks say "Mac OS Version 10.2.1, CD version 1.0, 2Z691-4104-A," and on the Software Restore disks that include 9.2.2 the number is 691-4078-A. Both have "© 2002 Apple Computer Inc." on them. At least the year is right.
I looked at the Apple page you sent the link to, but nowhere on it can I see a way to match these numbers with any G4.
Over the years I have owned several G4s, which I pass on to family members as I get newer ones, and I have several OS and software installer disks from these G4s. None of these installer disks has been able to install a bootable OS-9 System on any internal or external drive attached to this Quicksilver. Either I get the message "This software will not run on your computer," or if it does install 9.2.2, the computer will not boot back into OS-9 with it.
Seems I'm foiled no matter what I do.
At one time there was a bootable OS-9 System on one of the internal drives of this Quicksilver, the one attached to the internal ATA bus. But that drive was formatted in OS-9 in another G4, and the result was that the Mac would only recognize 128 gigs of the 250-gig hard drive. In order to see and use more than 128 gigs, I was told that the disk has to be formatted in OS-X. So, I wiped the drive and reformatted it with OS-X. The Mac then recognized the full capacity of the drive, but all subsequent attempts to put a bootable OS-9 System back on this drive, or on any other drive attached to this computer, have failed.
If I knew where to obtain an installer disk that would put OS-9 on this computer I'd buy one, but I don't even know how I would be able to identify what I need, much less locate and buy it.

I updated my apple ID and the app store continues to ask for my old id, I've gone to my settings and it does show my new apple ID

That's normal behavior. Whenever an app needs to be updated, it will always require the Apple ID that downloaded/installed the app. If you don't know or can't recover that password, you can't update the app. You have to delete and then reinstall it.

I have Elements 11 and the Brush Tool continues to stop working.

I've reset all tools, completely shut down my macbook but nothing is working.

Go to your username>library>preferences and delete:
com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 paths
Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 settings
and any lockfiles with the same names.
If you are using 10.7 or higher, that library is hidden. To see it, click the Go menu in the Finder and hold down the Option key and it will appear below the little house for your user account. In 10.7 and up, while you're in there, also go to the Saved Application States and delete any for PSE.
Repair permissions (any version of OS X) and try again.
