Andrew ??? -- HP LaserJet CM2320nf MFP

Will the scan capability in the HP LaserJet CM2320nf MFP, be supported sometime? New drivers? When (if ever)?

pcbjr,
With any luck, you should see the full solution online sometime next week. Without luck it will be the week after.

  • Driver Question for Andrew (HP) or Anyone Else:LaserJet CM2320nf MFP, 2600n

This has been posted by me in threads but keeps getting lost in betwixt 1000's of others - so I'm starting anew
Will there be a driver for the HP LaserJet CM2320nf MFP that allows scanning,
and for the LaserJet 2600n that allows printing?
Both under warranty and for both I get nowhere from HP (support, telephone, email).
I'm rolled back to 10.5.8 until my office can use these, or I go to Windows after 25 years on a Mac.

HP is steadily rolling out new drivers, but this is not an Apple problem since HP supplies the drivers. Apple did recently release the HP Printer Drivers 2.1 update a couple of days ago. You can install it to see if drivers for your printer have been supplied. However, only HP can tell you if and when new drivers will be available for both printing and scanning.
Meanwhile you could try VueScan that may support scanning on your device. Or you could try installing the SANE TWAIN driver (may or may not support scanning for your device.) Both can be found at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
In general it's always a good idea to avoid upgrading in a business environment until you know that all your hardware is supported by manufacturer updated drivers/software. Apple is not responsible for this.
Of course if you think it's less expensive to move to Windows (assuming it supports your hardware) then perhaps that's what you should do.

HP says that the drivers for your all in one print/scanner are downloadable from apple. For the scanner to use preview. image capture or the scan icon from the print driver queue.  I don't know how old your HP is, but I know that the newer Os from apple don't support a lot of older printers. You might be able find a third party driver that could work.

me podria habilitar un correo para poder configurar la impresora en mi celular.

To recieve a printer email address, your printer needs to be eprint capable and then be registered with the HP Connected cloud. Unfortunately, the cm2320 is not an eprint capable printer.
If you would like to make this printer and eprint capable printer, then you can add the mobile print accessory (see link below). You other option would be to upgrade to a new printer or try and use Google Cloud Print.
HP 1200w NFC/Wireless Mobile Print Accessory
If you choose to try and use Google Cloud Print, you will need to follow the instructions from Google for adding a classic printer. I have not tried to print from a phone using a classic printer so don't know if this option will work.

  • I got a Color LaserJet CM2320nf MFP and I would liket to lock it down when it is not in use.

    Hello.
Is there some kind of pincode I can lock it down with? So that a unatuized person can´t copy ore fax?

You may most likely need a HP Toolbox FX to configure the settings and put password protection.
Open HP ToolboxFX in one of these ways:
In the Windows system tray, double-click the HP ToolboxFX icon ( ).
On the Windows Start menu, click Programs (or All Programs in Windows XP and Vista), clickHP , click HP Color LaserJet CM2320 MFP Series , and then click HP ToolboxFX .

  • Will the scan function of an HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf MFP work with Lion?

I have a Macbook Air connected to a Windows Small Business Server 2003.  I can print on the HP 2320 fine with the Print & Scan utility, however the utility won't recognize the HP as a scanner.  The forums I have read on Apple regarding other HP all in one printers is that they can't scan.  HP's support forum is iffy at best; some locations indicating that a fix is due "late 2011", but sending me in a circular link pattern to find a solution.  I have tried downloading the HP LaserJet AiO/HP Director to no avail, even connecting directly to the printer/scanner via USB.  Downloading the drivers doesn't resolve.
Based on this HP link, I believe that scanning isn't supported.  I am dumbfounded by this.

  • HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf MFP

We are having an issue with the above mentioned printer.....the printer is networked so multiple users can use it. • HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf

I have OS X 10.9.2 (Mavericks) and we have networked HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf MFP. I have been successful to set up printer with computer but has not been able to set up a scanner. As far as I remember while I configured in windows there was PCL at the end of the printer/ device that let use scanner, however I do not see that with Mac.  All I see is attached below. Can you suggest me how to get this scanner get working on Mavericks?

Indeed, scanning is no longer supported on OS X 10.8 or 10.9, you may find this information within the following chart:
    http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/mostViewedDisplay/?sp4ts.oid=359...
I would suggest giving VueScan a try, it seems to support your scanner with no need for additional drivers:

  • I am looking for HP Laserjet CM2320 MFP driver for OSX 10.8.1

I have a LaserColor printer with all in one it is namely HP Color Laserjet CM2320nf MFP, once I upgraded my computer to the mountain lion OSX 10.8.1 I cannot scan any document, how can I go about this, any one help is appreciated. Thanks

    Hi awwadalhabli,
There seems to be of documentation for the specific model compatibility with Mountain lion, the support currently provided include print & fax capabilities but not scanning support.
Did you upgraded your operating system from 10.6 or 10.7?
You should have the HP Laserjet MFP folder, what happens when you try using the HP Scan application?
Please let me know the answers to my question in order to better understand how we may bypass this limitation

  • To Andrew - HP Mac Architect: HP LaserJet CM2320n MFP

    Andrew,
Any time frame yet on the SL driver for the LaserJet CM2320n MFP? I'm particularly interested in the scanner (the printer is already supported through software update, I believe). I've checked the HP website and nothing up yet.
Also, will the new driver default the document feed scan to letter size (it is legal size in 10.5 with the current driver, and with the document feeder the scan size cannot be set to letter in 10.5 - it is "stuck" at legal; multiple page docs have to be shot on the flatbed one at a time to get letter size). There are numerous case numbers over at HP on this issue, and I'm hoping the CM2320n MFP will work properly under 10.6 as a result of HP's new driver.
Any info will be most appreciated!

    pcbjr,
If you have already installed anything on top of Snow Leopard, and you don't have things working, here are the places to delete:
    1) Delete anything that starts with hp from /System/Library/Extensions.
    2) Delete /Library/Application Support/Hewlett-Packard.
    3) Delete anything that starts with hp in /Library/Frameworks.
    4) Delete anything from /Library/Image Capture/Devices, Support, and TWAIN Data Sources that have anything that starts with HP.
    5) Delete /Library/Printers/hp.
    6) Delete all the files from /Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources that start with HP (or if you only have HP printers, delete /Library/Printers/PPDs)
    7) Make sure the is nothing that starts with com.hp in /Library/Preferences.
    8) Delete the folder /Application/HP LaserJet (your model) MFP (Series)
    Just trying to help.

  • HP AiO remote doesn't recognize 3rd party toner as compatible in LaserJet M1217nfw MFP

    Hi,
I have a HP Envy 17 running Windows 8.1, a MacBook Air, an iPhone and a HP LaserJet M1217nfw MFP.  I recently replaced the toner with a 3rd party replacement cartridge and while the printer does give me a "supply memory error" I am still able to print just fine from the Mac and my phone.  I am unable however to print from my Envy.  The HP All-in-One Remote app in Windows 8 gives me an "incompatible cartridge" message and says there are no solutions availble.  Is there a work-around to this?
I am not very good at Windows 8....
    Thanks

    Hi Thaddeus,
Although the printer may resoponse to some commands, a supply memory error is an error state about the used cartridge.
Due the error message on the screen the HP AIO Remote recognize the cartridge as incompatible, that cannot be bypassed
with any settings, resolving the issue which cause the error message is the only key to resolve a such.
If the HP AiO Remote fails to print in such condition the only solution is to fully resolve the condition by following the steps listed in my previous post.

    Shlomi

  • HP laserjet CP3530 MFP, I can't get this baby to scan to a server or workstation folder

    Hey Guys(and ladies),
I have a HP laserjet CM3539 MFP and when I try to set up the scan to folder option, and I click the scan wizard, it asks for me to install the CD that came with this printer. I purchased it on ebay and they don't have a CD for it. I tried downloading that Park admin and it doesn't work in 32bit systems(using Windows 7 Ultimate 64)
Can someone walk me through this or can they copy the CD and I'll pay for shipping and all, I just need this scan to work so my employees can work saving docs on the server again.
    Thank you,
    Daivd-

    Hello Davidshammer,
To get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial product. You can do this at Commercial LaserJet Forums.
I am aware that you have been already referred to look into posting in the commercial forums, it would be in your best interest to do so. This is HP's consumer forums, we do not have the training nor the knowledge to look into commercial products.
The support page for your product may be helpful in the meantime: HP Color LaserJet CM3530 Multifunction Printer series Support
