Android 4.4.2 denies writing to external SD card

I am about to find litigation against Google for there abusive stupidity in restricting write access to external SD cards. This abusive practice is an attempt to supervise everything and is a manifest violations of the right to privacy. Having been involved in intelligence for over 20 years I advise you that Android is nothing more than a turd of Google and Google in nothing more than a turd of the NSA. They want to force you to put everything on a cloud so that they can see everything that you do. They don't have the right to do this notwithstanding any agreement of service. They are counting on the fact that most people are brain dead. I for one an not; and I hope you are not either. Not only is this intrusion of privacy abusive, it is restraining private trade and operations. I don't count on the clouds. I backup everything over ten times a day to external SD cards because the HP tablet not only has limited space but is often unstable. I back up my SD cards to other medium. Up to now I have always had peace of mind knowing that my data is secure. That's what Google is trying to prevent; but these they're not going to get away with it; at least not in my case. If any of you are interested in going against Google please feel free to contact me. To all who bend over and bury your head in the sand, which is what they are counting on; and remember what I told you when it happens. Google is indecent which means: if it long enough, and hard enough, and in far enough... It's in decent.

Mr. Moderator please give us a solution to this.
Use another File Manager - the Play Store is full of them.

  • External SD Card Gallery Not Showing

    Hi,
In Adobe Collage and the other Adobe apps on my Galaxy Note 10.1 I am unable to load my images that I have on my external sd card. Loading images from the inbuilt memory is fine however. I have too many images to start storing them all on the inbuilt memory so is there a way to get the external memory working. Most people I know with Android devices do it this way so I can't be the first to have this issue. The Android gallery app works fine as do all the other apps that use images on the tablet.
EDIT: PS Touch does let you view the complete content of the sd card. Collage still doesn't, havent figured out a way yet.
    Any ideas?
    Cheers - Trev

Thanks David, I've found a different app that does collage now, was hoping there was a workaround since Photoshop Touch does support it (along with a few other Adobe apps) - I have no space on my internal memory thanks to Google Play Movies lack of supporting external memory as well, so I'm kinda stuck with an app I can't use.

  • Unable to delete files from encrypted external SD Card using File Commander

I've run into some trouble trying to delete the directory com.spotify.music from my external SD Card (encrypted) after a hard reboot using the reset button next to the sim card.
I need to do this for the Spotify app to work (FC on starting it) and I'm currently unable to delete the folder and its contents from Sony provided file explorer(FC File Commander).
Is there a way to delete this app from adb or other command line tool or how should I go about this? Developer options are enabled because I'm learning to develop apps. Not particularly keen on rooting or otherwise format my SD Card but it's an option if there are no other ways to do it.
I can see the contents of my card using File Commander just fine. Spotify app is uninstalled, I tried remove cache and data before uninstall also.

Are you able to delete files via your Pc or are you able to remove the card from your phone and connect it to a Pc for file deletion - There is a free program called Unlocker currently on version 1.9.2 which is excellent at deleting files that don't want to be deleted - You would install the program then right click the file and choose Unlocker and then when the program starts choose delete
I guess he will not be able to move the SD card to the computer since it's encrypted and is working only with that particular device, but he should be able to access it via PC.
If you can try to uninstall Spotify from your phone. I assume Spotify is not working due to some rubbish inside it's directory, but on the other hand you can't delete the folder because it may be used by Spotify. If you uninstall app folder may be unlocked.

  • Connecting a PC with an external wireless card

I have an iMac and am connected wirelessly to the Internet through the Airport Extreme. My roommate has a new Dell Laptop with Windows XP and has been connected through ethernet to the base station. She just recently purchased an external wireless card, and we can't seem to get her connected wirelessly. When searching for available networks to join on her computer, it recognizes my network and says that it has an excellent signal, but when we type in the WEP, it doesn't do anything. It does not give us an error, and it does not connect. Any idea what we are doing wrong and what we can do to fix it?

I still can't figure it out. I unchecked the option that says "enable encryption (using WEP)" and she was immediately connected. I don't think I have a huge problem leaving the network up without a password, I'm in a small residential area. Does that just mean that neighbors would be able to connect? How far does the signal generally travel? And is there any way to see the IP addresses of people connected to this specific network?

  • 5.1 or 7.1 external sound card

I have a new iMac but it only has a 2.1 optical audio output on the back. I'd like to connect a 5.1 DD external sound card USB 2.0 (maybe even up to 7.1 Dolby Digital) to it to connect to my DD receiver. However, I am also using Windows Vista Ultimate through Boot Camp separately and may add VMWare Fusion later on to run both OSX and Vista side by side so I'd want to have both of them compatible and even before that. I've been looking for cards but haven't found any that are supported by both Apple AND PC. Either that or they are all internal PC cards. Does anyone know of any external cards that are supported by both?

There are two "standard" optical-digital-audio connectors. The original "square"
one is still used in most larger audio/video components. The newer/smaller one,
used mainly in portable gear, is exactly the same size as a mini headphone plug.
The iMac's 'combo' jacks support either analog or digital-optical connections --
depending on which type of plug is inserted.
Radio Shack carries adaptors/cables of both types (usually at outrageously high
prices). For online vendors, try http://monoprice.com Great prices and a good
reputation for quality/service among the HDTV-fanatics on avsforum.com.
Here are just two examples; browse monoprice.com for many more:

I thought the only way I could get DD 5.1 out is through a USB adaptor.
That should work, too -- but I don't believe it's necessary.

  • Sun Ray - How to get external USB Card Reader working

    Dear All,
i have the following problem. Maybe someone could help me or give me a clue to solve it.
    SunRay Software 5 installed
    Window 2003 R2 TerminalServer
    Here my question:
I use a kiosk session with a smart card to conncet to the windows server - works perfect.
    Login Screen and go.
Now i have to have to authenticate myself with an external usb card reader and smart
card (connected to the sun ray) to use a certain application on my win2003 server.
Via the windows rdp session (from the laptops) everthing is ok. The information from
the card reader is transferred to the server.
If i use the Sun Ray nothing happens. So here is my problem:
How do get the authentication information from the smart card to the server?
    Thanks in advance
    Best regards
    Hans-Peter

Basically, reinstall the Boot Camp video drivers manually and if that doesn't work then go to the AMD/Radeon website and install the Windows drivers directly for your video card model.
If you want to do a search you will find others that have pretty good luck doing it either way.

  • How to get the external storage card serial no. through j2me code

    hello friends,
I am developing an application in J2ME, in which i want to know the external storage card information(i.e serial number or its unique id).
Is there anyway through which i can get this information similar to System.getproperty().
    It is very urgent.
    can someone please help me???????

    Hi Jason,
I wasn't able to find a C# function that would obtain the serial number for a PXI card. However, I believe you could use the VI_ATTR_MODEL_NAME function to get the model name of the device. Therefore, you would know whether it was the PXI-8430 or the PXI-8431. If this does not work, your workaround will work like you said. I know that this is not your desired way of achieving this, however, it will work. I can continue looking though and see if I can find a function that will return the serial number.

  • Surround sound via external sound card

I'm looking to connect my W520 to a tv for watching movies. The video is all set up with a DP to HDMI adapter directly from the laptop to the tv. The sound, however, must pass through a receiver first. The receiver only has RCA inputs - it's quite old. I know the hypothetical setup would definitely work because I have a cable tv set top box connected that way.
What's missing is an external sound card that is:
    - compatible with the w520
    - capable of outputting 5.1 surround sound
    - capable of connecting via RCA, be it through an adapter or not
Can anyone recommend a reliable external sound card for the job?

Have you tried one of these?
    dynadock PA3927U-1PRP dynadock U3.0
You can stream 5.1 audio (and the video for that matter as it supports two displays). It also supports USB3.0 as an added perk (the dock itself can be plugged into a usb 3.0 port for best performance). It has one HDMI connection, one DVI-I, and an ethernet connection builtin as well as the usb connections.
PS Missed the bit about you only having RCA connections on your receiver. Lol I would get a new receiver. But then again this device may help you as it does have analog outputs (front, rear and c/sub). You would need to build/find cables though (3.5mm x3 to RCAs).
Btw no SPDIF? If no your receiver must be a pretty old one. Hope its a good one ;-). If you have an coax/optical input then there are also USB devices that will provide 5.1 (maybe even 7.1 nowadays) via the SPDIF connection.
