I just got a new iPhone 5c and I want to be able to use my Android ringtones, messages and alerts on it. How do I transfer them in iTunes? It did transfer the ones that are actually music but not the others, the main ones I use.
Also is there an app that will announce who is actually calling you, by name? or sending a message? Like "new message from Chelsea"? "Call from Zac"? I got used to hearing these that I am missing it on the new phone.
I do have an iPad mini so I'm not an extreme newbie but I never had my messages come through on it.

Performance in Android 3.0 and beyond

I have some concerns on performance for any version of android 3.0 and above. Dragging a movieclip is choppy. Pinch and zoom is terrible (disabled on tablets in favor of +- zoom controls). Rotation is very choppy as well.
I thought this was limited to large screens and since my focus was small screens and performance on small screens was smooth, it wasn't an issue. Gingerbread works like butter for my app. However, I have recently tried my app on small screen Android 4.0 and it has the same issues as 3.0 on tablets so I am starting to think it isn't just screen size but an issue with changes in the OS. I realize ICS just came out but since AIR 3 is suppose to target Android 3.0 API's and the same issue exists, it leads me to believe that ICS phone users will suffer the same problem. I think if I can figure it out for supported Android 3.0, it will also solve the 4.0 problem before the masses adopt ICS.
Anyone else have issues on honeycomb with performance?

Thanks. I do have the stage quality at medium but not much difference. I did export some of my vectors as bitmaps (using Flash Pro) and that made a pretty big improvement on the sluggish areas. I also turned on GPU acceleration which also helped. I would say those changes helped bring it up to an acceptable level. I did not notice any difference in colorDepth.
I have a couple related questions. Bit of background, my app allows you to draw using your finger.
1) Are touch event better than mouse events for drawing? In some test apps (drawing only), touch seemed to work much smoother but when I layer in other graphics, not really a difference, when should I use mouse vs touch?
2) are there any better api's for drawing than Adobe graphcis?

When will single edition apps be available on Android, Amazon Fire, and Blackberry Playbook? This is very important as we were told we would soon be able to publish on all devices and not just using the in-app service. My company is currently using the Professional Edition of Adobe DPS.

Currently, the Android Market has a 50MB limit for .apk-Apps. (http://www.google.com/support/androidmarket/developer/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=113469)
At the Google IO this year they talked about raising this limit up to 4GB, but that is more complicated. the app itself still has 50MB of allowed size, but there are additional data handled by the android market that can be downloaded upon starting the 50MB .apk app from the android market.

However, Multi-Folio-Apps are currently possible (only with Pro Edition) on Android. They are relatively small (2-5 MB) and the .folios are comming from the adobe servers (download costs!). You need to create a new role/magazine in the account administration and publish your app as a multi folio app.

Yoga Tablet 10" - update to Android 4.4 and further problems with Google Music

Hi everyone.
I've just upadated my Yoga Tablet 10" to Android 4.4. Whole process went smoothly but afterwards I'm experiencing some problems with Google Music. Playback is "skippy" or "choppy", even if whole song is downloaded. Every 15-25 seconds there small pause, which is quite annoying.
Local music files (uploaded through usb) seem to work just fine.
I've even tried resetting whole device to factory settings but without any success.
I also have an impression that youtube playback is not so smooth as it used to be in Android 4.2...
Has anyone experienced something similar? Any hints or sollutions?

How do I get Firefox for Android to download and install?

I had Firefox installed on my Android tablet, an Asus TF300T. I was notified there was an update so I clicked to let in install. I avoid auto updates as I need to use a website that is always a couple of versions behind in compatibility. Well, the update would not download and I tried several times. It just seems to time out (error 495 is reported). I tried uninstalling Firefox to attempt a fresh install. This has worked with other apps that were being difficult when installing updates. Now I still can't get Firefox for Android to complete a download in order to get it installed. What's the deal with this latest version? I'd like to get Firefox back on my tablet but the options are extremely limited and frankly the amount of help on the website is also extremely limited. Any help would be appreciated.

An Open Letter to Verizon about Android 2.2 and Fascinate

Dear Verizon,
I purchased my Samsung Fascinate phone from one of your stores last September. I distinctly recall the sales rep saying that Android 2.2 would be available within the next 2 months. As everyone knows, Android 2.2 is much anticipated, particularly due to its support of Adobe Flash. We are now into the second week of March 2011, and there is still no Android 2.2 available. It is particularly frustrating that Android 2.2 has been pushed to other Samsung Galaxy S phones, but not to the Fascinate. I believe that Verizon has really dropped the ball on its customers. Another source of frustration is the fact that Verizon has steadfastly refused to provide any sort of information on when, or if, Android 2.2 will ever be available for the Fascinate in an official, supported form.
I would like Verizon to do the following:
1)      Give us an estimated release time (not necessarily date) for Android 2.2
2)      Inform Fascinate customers on what the technical hurdles are and when and how they should be addressed
3)      Or, be frank with your customers and tell us you don’t want to be bothered anymore with the Fascinate
If you want an idea of how badly this whole Android 2.2 non-availability issue has damaged your relationship with your customers, I suggest you log onto your online Forum for Fascinate Users.

Is there a calendar app that will sync HTC one, android Samsuhg tablet and a PC?

Looking for a calendar app that will sync an HTC one M8, a Samsung android Tablet and a desktop PC? If I put an event in one it will find it in the other?

Just make sure you are selecting the gmail address as the place to create the event. Otherwise it will only be saved to the phone.
For example, my Gmail/Google calendar currently syncs between the PC/Web, android phone backup android phone and two tablets.

Anybody tried ISE Native Supplicant Provisioning with Android 5.0?
I have ISE 1.3 in production and I can do NSP on iPad iOS 8.0.2 and Nexus 7 Android KitKat 4.4.4 but the Cisco Network Setup Assistant app. doesn't work with Nexus 5 Android Lollipop 5.0
Looked at spw.log file in Download on the device and I see:
ERROR:At line 11, column 2: mismatched tag
ERROR:org.apache.harmony.xml.ExpatParser$ParseException: At line 11, column 2: mismatched tag
ERROR:Null config object from parser
INFO:Internal system error.
I opened a TAC and waiting for an update.

Did a posture update in ISE and installed the newly released version 1.2.40 of Network Setup Assistant and put a PIN on the phone.

I implement application in Android 2.1.
I need to download file from my Azure storage.
Android 2.1 is too old for the Azure storage APIs.
So, I try to do it with Rest call. When I try to do that, I get exception with detail message:
"Not trusted server certificate".
my relevant code:
HttpClient httpClient = new DefaultHttpClient();
HttpResponse httpResponse = httpClient.execute(new HttpGet(_url + getRequest));
While _url = "https://<MyStorageName>.blob.core.windows.net/" and getRequest="buildingsynchronization/IMG-20140306-WA0013.jpg"
When I try to call that url from my browser, I get the file.
Can somebody help me please?

It might be because one of the root certificate not installed properly on your device. Due to which the device cannot accept the Storage Certificate.

Android with Air and Flash

I just installed Adobe AIR on Windows 7.
As I start Flash I see a bunch of options under the tab "Create New".
If I'm correct their should be an option called "Android".
This is not the case..
I do see Adobe AIR 2 and Iphone OS as available options.
Does anybody know how to fix this?

Android Expansion Files and License Verification Library

I'm strugling with the libraries to verify a person's purchase in order to download play store hosted expansion files.
I got the downloading of expansionfiles and unpacking (from an own domain) down, but since it is for a purchased application and the .obb files will be stored in the play store, I need to check the purchase before I can download (right?).
I'm going by the following article:

After getting all the latest SDK's (Android and AIR) I still get errors from the Adobe provided .java files.
First, the package name of Anroid's
com.android...LicenseChecker.java
is changed to:
com.google.android...LicenseChecker.java
Fine, I can change it's import in com.adobe.air.sampleextensions...AndroidLicenseCheckerCallback.java
However...
com.adobe.air.sampleextensions...AndroidLicenseCheckerCallback.java then begins to complain about the method LicenseChecker.allow( int ) not being implemented. OK, I can write that method if need be (not quite clear what to fill it with though)
Worse probably is that a number of consts ( CHECK_IN_PROGRESS, INVALID_PACKAGE_NAME ) and s'mores can not be resolved. Maybe because the overridden applicationError's parameter ApplicationErrorCode can not be resolved either... .
(I got android.jar and FlashRuntimeExtensions.jar linked OK)
sigh...
Does anyone know of more recent/functioning libraries? Or am I on the wrong track all together?
