[Android] Add ability to Remove Discover Weekly playlist

Hey there.
The new feature on Spotify, discover weekly. It updates weekly snd suggests some music based on user listeninngs. But problem is, I listen only hands up music and it's boring to get suggestions from heavy metal and some commercial music... It is really useless. Only 10% of suggestions I can actualy listen. The more boring stuff is that this playlist is taking valuable space on my Android/Windows app where sidebar is already fullfilled with no needed junk.
I can't remove this playlist curated by Spotify. Add option to do so!!
Thanks.

  • Copy/Clone Discover Weekly playlist to your playlists for longterm listening.

Spotify's new Discover Weekly playlists are pretty great. What would make them better would be the ablilty to copy/clone them to your playlists for longterm listening since they get replaced every week.

  • [All Platforms][Discover] Discover Weekly

The discover weekly feature is excellent, however I was disappointed yesterday to notice that last weeks playlist had disappeared. It would be great to be able to view previous discover weekly playlists.  Thanks

  • Mix of the week Playlist

Hi, today i found out that my playlist "mix of the week" was overwritten by a new version.  How can i geht the songs from last week back ??? GreetzChristoph

I doubt that you're able to get them back. The "Playlist of the Week" is overwritten every week with a new playlist -> see this thread: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Help-Desktop-Mac/Discover-Weekly-Playlist-History/td-p/1177584

I cannot remove albums and playlists from my iPhone; I deselect them in iTunes, but they remain.  I can add new albums and playlists

How did the photos/albums get onto the phone ?
Only photos taken with the iPhone or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the phone - either via the trashcan icon at the bottom right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it top right in thumbnail view. Albums that you've created directly on the phone can be deleted via the Edit button at the top right of the album selection screen.
Photos/albums that were synced from your computer are deleted by moving/removing/de-selecting them from where they were synced from on your computer and then re-syncing

  • [Desktop] Add learning capability to Spotify Discover Weekly

Hello, I love the Discover Weekly feature. However, it still had a few songs I didn't like all that much, and a few that I love to pieces. Can I suggest a thumbs up and thumbs down system where thumbs up means "I love it, give me more like this" and thumbs down means "really not into it, don't give me any more like this"?

  • The ability to remove crap apps

I have a motorola droid, that just updated to 2.2 a few days ago, 1st thing that happened, activesync stopped working, but tech support helped me out on that and it's working perfectly again.  the main thing i would like to complain about is VZW putting crap applications on my phone without the ability to remove them.  I.E. Twitter came with this latest update,  i don't want it, i don't like it, and i wont use it. but i can't remove it,  thats {word filter avoidance} some of you are going to say, just ignore it, or we then don't use it.  and thats what i'm going to do, but the fact remains, that even though it's small, it is still eating a chunk of my Card space, and is continually running until i use task killer to kill it, (which of course it starts itself up again a few hours later), so it's using system resources.
I don't care is  VZW wants to push {word filter avoidance} apps like this to phones during updates, but at least give us the ability to remove them if we don't want them.  Seriously, i pay well over 100.00 a month for there service and whatnot, and they still think they know what "needs" to be on my phone?
WAKE UP VZW and give us the option to uninstall the crap apps you put on it.
Done ranting now.   have a great day

your remarks are besides the entire point i was making,  sure they can put all the crap they want on it, but they do NOT have the RIGHTS to do so, no where in my contract that i signed does it  say they will add unremoveable apps to the device as they see fit. i bought this phone it is mine lock stock and barrell technically anything they do outside of the contract i signed and do not authorize is a violation of my rights as an individual.
It is in the contract you signed as the guy showed above.  They will add stuff as they see fit which you agreed to.
task killer is a very valuable app, if you don't use it i feel sorry for you, as all the bloatware VZW has put on the phones, comes on when it wants, and resides in the devices memory, so yes it does use system resources,  If i kill all the tasks my battery will last 2 days from full to empty if i do not, i'm lucky if it lasts 3/4 of a day.   so your wrong on all points, thanks for playing try again.
I will explain this to you.  Nothing in ram is wasted ram for a Linux based system which android is.  What you are closing is the libraries that Android has open which is shared through numerous apps.  For example if you close the "phone" app messaging app and a few others will close as well just because the library was closed.  It only looks like they reside in memory as they share the same library as another app.  What you need to look at is processes and not what's in ram.
All i'm saying is if they put it on there that is fine,  just give me the option to remove the crap i don't want.
You do have an option, and it's your choice to do it or not.  Root your device, and remove them.  Warranties are over-rated anyway you will always get a "refurbished" device 99/100 times.  If you screw up most of the time unless you can get into fastboot they'll never know you rooted your device.  If you can get into fastboot you can ALWAYS bring your phone back to stock.
if you can't see that point, then maybe you need to actually use your phone, instead of playing with it as a toy.
If you wanted a "phone" wouldn't you buy a phone that did only that?  These devices were meant more than just being a phone.

  • HT1947 If you add music VIDEOS to Up Next playlist, then go to look at the album cover playing screen, then go to add another song from diff playlist, no longer can see Up Next, just go to full screen mode button. Using remote app iphone 5 to play out of

If you add music videos to Up Next playlist, then go to look at the album cover playing screen, then go to add another song from different playlist, you no longer can see Up Next, just go to full screen mode button. Using remote app iPhone 5 to play out of iTunes. It looks like it works fine for regular music, but for music videos you can't see your up next unless you go back on the computer to change once you've left the screen. When using the remote app, you shouldn't need to go to iTunes on the PC to view or edit Up Next already added. See first image, you can hit upper right and get back to Up Next (second image). Third image is music video, where you can't get back to Up Next, just swap between full screen and not. I hoped 3.0.1 would have the answer, no luck!

wow, very nice review Makes me want to get a vision for myself.

Add the ability to randomly select a new background from a pre selected group of photos every time the player is turned on or each day.
I would love that feature. I can't stand useing my computer with a single wall paper anymore (I have 500 anime pics that i rotate between every 2 mins ) If you could make the vision rotate background every x minutes or every time the player is turned on, it would be totally amazeningly sweet!!!! (i might have to go out and buy one then :P)
I just hope that creative has better firmware support with the vision than they have had with the touch.
    Once again, great review

  • I remove toolbars in the options menu and each time I re-load they come back. I want the ability to remove toolbars permanently.

In the options menu, I remove the toolbars that I don't want to see. i.e. Conduit Engine and Add-on Bar. They only remain removed for that session. When I re-load FF, they are back. I want the ability to remove toolbars I don't want and have them STAY removed.

The file that stores details of the customizations is probably corrupt. For details of how to fix it see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Toolbar+keeps+resetting

  • Cannot remove songs from playlists in the latest iTunes version

I am running iTunes 11.1.5.  When I select a song or songs in a playlist that I want to remove from the playlist (but keep in iTunes) and hit the Delete or Backspace key nothing happens.  What's strange is I am able to remove songs from some of my playlists but not others.  Does this behavior work differently in playlists I create myaself and playlists iTunes provides for you?  It seems I can remove songs from my own playlists but not from the ones provided by iTunes.
    Thanks.
    Jesse

You cannot manually add or delete from smart playlists (they appear in purple in my iTunes and at the top of all the playlists).  Smart playlist content is generated by the rules controlling the playlist.  Right (control+) click on a smart playlist to see the rules.

  • Discover Weekly - Post your feedback here

    Hello community. Spotify here.
Here's all the info you need to know about Discover Weekly. It's a pretty awesome feature that we love. We hope you will too:
Its a 30 song playlist that is automatically added to your account and updated every Monday.
The 30 songs are based on your listening history and the listening history of others with similar tastes to you.
The rollout starts today and is scheduled to finish in the coming weeks.
Only folks who have been active in the last 30 days will get it. When they return and play some music, they’ll get it the following Monday.
Only available after you’ve been with Spotify for two weeks.
Its added directly to Your Music/Your Library. If we were overzealous here, you have the option to unfollow it.
The playlist defaults to private. You can set it to public if you'd like.
If you accidentally unfollow it, you can find it again in Browse or Discover.
Any other questions let us know. Feel free to post any feedback here.
    Thanks!

The rollout started yesterday with 20% in mainly English speaking markets. It is scheduled to finish rolling out within a couple of weeks but we may temporarily pause the rollout if we discover any issues. Keep checking!
Yes it will be available in Canada, Oh Canada :)

  • Great finds from Discover Weekly

Hi Sophiemay, You can create a new playlist. Name it: My weekly disoveries. Then copy/paste the songs from the weekly playlist discover into there. That's it.

As you may have heard Discover Weekly is rolling out to users this week.
This playlist updates every Monday and is a weekly selection of new discoveries and deeper cuts based on your evolving music taste.
Users are already making great music discoveries through the playlist--and you can share your best finds with the Community here. Recently I found Sheep, Dog & Wolf (Lil' Chief Records) through Discover Weekly. Daniel McBride makes experiemental pop with layered vocals that I recommend for fans of Sufjan and #1 Dads.

  • [All Platforms][Discover] Prevent Duplicates in Discover Weekly

Discover Weekly is the one of the best features I've seen from Spotify since I've been a subscriber: I've been finding so many great new tracks. One minor issue I've found is that I occasionally get recommendations in the playlists that I've already gotten in previous weaks (specifically, I know for a fact I've been recommended Leonard Cohen's 'Chelsea Hotel #2 more than once).
It should fairly simple to implement a check to confirm that the song hasn't been recommended previously, or at least a check to make sure the user listened to it.

  • How do I add multiple songs to an existing playlist from the (no longer called) Library? Highlighting multiple songs and clicking the "Add to" button will only add the with the little arrow, not all the highlighted ones!

How do I add multiple songs to an existing playlist from the (no longer called) Library? Highlighting multiple songs and clicking the "Add to" button will only add the one with the little arrow, not all the highlighted ones! I am using the "new" iTunes.

For the moment there isn't a way for us end-users to control what is "matched" or "uploaded." That is purely a result of Apple's server-side algorithms.
To re-add multiple songs at once simply highlight all the songs you want to re-add, then right-click (or Control+click) the list and choose "add to iCloud."
