To be clear, you can see the image from your file system but cannot access it from code?
I'd like to know what could be my bug because I don't understand why I can access from the URL,

I'm not knowledgeable with chmod under Linux, let's say if we give it full accessibility, what will be the result?
Anyway if you can see the image from file system, that already means the upload is succeed, I think you may need get some suggestion from php side to see how can we save the image with a correct permission.

How to show one album art image for a compilation album in cover flow view?

I just finished getting album art for my entire music collection. Now I go to the Cover Flow view or the Album view and individual songs in compilation albums each have their own album art instead of being grouped together under the same album art. For instance I have a "Buddha Bar" Album with various artists. Instead of having one image for the album, each artist has his or her own image (all the same Buddha Bar album art). So a compilation CD with various artists ends up having 15 images instead of one image in the Album art or Cover Flow view which makes it harder to look through my albums. Does anybody know if it is possible to change this?

iTunes doesn't have the ability to do what you want, i.e. to define multiple separated values in a field and then have the item show up when looking at a selection based on each of those values. "Bob Dylan", "The Band" and "Bob Dylan & The Band" are three distinct values that can't be linked together. Sort values can change where in a list things are displayed but shouldn't be used to attempt to merge different values as results are undefined and unpredictable.

Smart albums based on date images were last edited

Here's a quick question to throw out to the masses...
Is it possible to create smart albums based on the date images were last edited within Aperture?
If yes, then I can't seem to locate it! - Probably right in front of my nose!
If no, then I think it would be a really handy feature so you can easily keep track of any changes made to individual images throughout your whole library by the date they were last tampered with.
Any views, or pointers in the right direction?

Opened up LR and none of my images show in import, library, collections, filmstrip or develop modules. All other data is there.

I opened up LR 5 today and found that NONE of my images show up as thumbnails, filmstrip, in develop module, import or anywhere else. In develop module, all develop settings are there. The only thing missing is the image itself. I cannot see ANY of my images even though they are physically there on the HD. If I select an image (or image placeholder) and select "edit in PS", then PS opens and I see the full image for editing. I just don't see any of my images while in LR. I've rebooted my comp, did a "repair" on the LR installation and even a re-install of LR5. NOTHING works. I need help!!!

Images removed from Albums

Browsing through some old projects, I came accross one in which 12 out of 13 albums are mysteriously empty. The masters are still there in the project but they have been removed from the albums into which they were imported. Is this something that the 'Rebuild Library' function (Command+Option on relaunch) should fix?

That's a good tip! That issue did actually cause me some confusion when I was doing a date search for the images to replace them in the albums. However I don't think it was the cause of the original problem. The grey figure in brackets in the projects panel showing the number of images in each album was zero. I've just tried looking at my rebuilt albums with a filter on the search criteria and yes, the images are no longer visible in the browser. However the figure in brackets remains the same.

Can't drag an image to an album?

I am probably doing something boneheaded here (which I usually end up doing at least a few times per day)... but, I have a project, within that project are two albums. I have each album open (via option click). Is there a reason I can't drag an image from one album into the other by way of the browsers for each? IE, click on image A within the album's browser, I will call that album 1 and then drag the image to another browser, let's call it album 2. I could have sworn I have done this before, but now I can't? I can drag the image from the active browser to album 2 via the inspector pane, just not via the two albums browser windows? Kinda of a slow down to move from adjustments to projects back to adjustments when I should be able to drag and drop.

So the issue is that you can't drag between two browser windows, but you could before?
Can you set the HUD to adjustments, the sidebar to projects (and expand the project to show the "To" album) and drag and drop between those?

JavaMail - HTML with images - Images show up as both inline and attachment

Hi,
I am writing a program to send email which have
1. HTML template which references images via the content-id mechanism
2. A PDF document
The mails are being rendered properly in Outlook, Gmail and Yahoo (the images show as inline and the PDF as attachment), however in hotmail the images are showing up as both inline and as attachment.
When creating the email using JavaMail I am using the following structure
...multipart/mixed
......multipart/related
..........HTML Code
..........Images
......PDF file (as a MimeBodyPart)
Is there something which I missed here or do I need to live with the way hotmail renders the email.

Why are my slideshow images showing as low res?

I'm creating a site that will show a housing development in the works, and with each lot number that's clicked on the home page, the link goes to a page with a slideshow (My Albums) and when that is clicked you're taken to a new page with separate slideshow.
I've got two questions:
1. Why do the images show up as low res on the My Albums page, but are the preferred higher res on the slideshow page?
2. I'd like to just have a slideshow on the first page without having to click on the image to link to a whole other page for the slideshow. The confusing part is, while working in iWeb, the slideshow does exactly what I'd like it to do, but when published I get the ghastly low res images and I have to click on that to get to the "real" slideshow! Is there a setting I'm missing?

What's the URL of your site so we can examine it first hand? Do you have iWeb's preferences set to optimize images when imported?

To get rid of the album page and leave the photo pages just move the photo pages out of the album page.

Placing OS image and Data image on right partition

Hi ,
We are facing issue in placing right image at the right partition.
We have OS image and data image. We are formatting and partitioning HDD as 40% (OSDisk) and remaining 100% as (Data). Both paritioons are active and selected as primary.
Then in installing operating system step, i have selected place image based on variable 'OSDisk'
and Data image is also slected to be placed based on variable 'Data'.
TS finishes without any issues but when i login to the machine i can see that OSDisk has become 'D' Drive and Data Drive has become 'C' so it shows C drive with label as 'Data' and D drive is label as 'OSDisk'
I want to place OS on C drive and Data drive should always be as 'D' drive.
I have tried another method and this time i tried to install OS as 'place based on stored variable i.e. OSDisk but install data image as next available partition but with this placement OS never boot after restart and TS eventually fails.
My aim is to make 'C' drive contain OS image and 'D' Drive to containg data image content and not the otherway around as it is happening with current test.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Yes it is Config manager 2012 R2 but image is actually not source media install.wim. It a custom captured image through MDT2013. Image has 1 partition only.
However I tried the above solution but drive letters are still not coming correct for OSDisk and Data Drive. Data is coming on 'C' drive and OSDisk is coming at 'D' drive.

No images showing in LR2.6

I am running LR2.6 on a Dell XPS435T 64b W7. I downloaded LR2.6, and it seemed to work ok for a while. Now when I open my catalog there are no images, only gray squares. The correct metatata shows on the side bar, as do the rating stars on each gray image. If I doubleclick on the image frame, it will open in CS4 Photoshop. It seems to be working ok on my laptop. The only change I can think of that I made in the system was to install Spyder3plus monitor calibration software, and then calibate the monitor with the Spyder3 sensor.

LR boots pretty quickly. My catalog has just under 39000 DNG images in it. The device manager shows 8 processors, [email protected]. I have 12gb of installed RAM, and an ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series display adapter. I am not too savvy about all these specs, but I gather it is supposed to be pretty capable. The machine came with Vista ultimate installed, but I installed W7 beta shortly after I got it, and was so impressed that I upgraded immediately after W7ultimate came out. I only just now got around to reinstalling the Spyder3plus, but downloaded the 3.1.3 software software just in the last few days. The Datacolor page just shows "win" for capability, so I don't know if it has been tested for w7. If I am reading the system details correctly, it is in fact using the Spyder3 profile.

Maybe the Spyder profile didn't get seen by LR initially. Presumably you shut everything down and have rebooted between the time of using the Spyder and then LR. Is it possible to tell for sure that the Spyder profile is being used. Maybe Win7 has reverted back to its own internal profile and that is why it is working. Do you know if the Spyder software has been updated since Win7 came out? If not there could be some incompatibility with Win 7. Win7 has its own simple monitor calibration process, now, much like Adobe Gamma used to do, so it may be wrestling control back from the Spyder profile loader unless the Spyder software has been written specifically to work with Win7.
Not responding messages can be a result of other processing hogging the CPU or memory causing LR to wait or the machine, itself, not having the horsepower to run a program like LR. I have a single core machine and typically wait for several minutes after starting up LR before I have control with my keyboard and mouse, so there are some things that a new machine would help with. Thankfully my machine does have 4GB of memory. When used LR on a 1GB machine, LR was mostly operating on virtual memory which can cause big slowdowns.

First, the required profile needs to be present. LR 5.4 supports the X-T1 in terms of understanding its Raw format, but will not come with a profile for every lens which can be mounted onto that.
A profile is made for each specific lens, as mounted on a certain camera. It can also be used with pictures taken on a different (reasonably similar) camera body than the one originally used during profiling. This is subject to the sensor format: you can employ a given lens profile made for full frame, on an image from a crop sensor behind the same lens - but not vice versa.
Next, the image type needs to correspond to the image type which has been built into the profile: Raw, or non-Raw.
Lightroom offers only profiles of the right type for the image(s) concerned. There are many more provided for correcting camera Raw, than for correcting camera JPG. That is also the case with additional profiles, e.g. those accessed via the Adobe lens profile downloader utility.
Finally, in the event that there simply is no profile out there for a given lens, it is not particularly difficult (though a little tedious) for the end user to generate one, using a further Adobe utility which is downloadable as a package, including a range of checkerboard calibration targets, each of which needs to be printed at a stated physical size.

Showing Aperture albums

It drives me crazy how albums in Aperture seem to show up in no particular order on my Apple TV 2. For instance, just loaded a new bunch of pictures and go to my Apple TV and I can't find them listed. I have thousands, so perhaps they are there, but can't find them. I would expect them to be at the top of the list. Instead, I see a recent album (but not the most recent) and an album from last summer, etc... So I can't see any discernable order. In fact, I would like them in the most logical order, which is most recent at the top, or even according to the way I organise my albums. How do I figure this out so that I can see a recent album at the top?

Apple in its wisdom has decided to order the view of albums on both the Apple TV and the iPad according to the date on which the album was created, annoyingly an item of data that is invisible to users and cannot therefore be edited - this is readily tested by creating folders with incremented names (to evidence creation time) all over the aperture library and low and behold this is the order they appear in on teh Appe TV and iPad
we need ot lobby Apple to provide options for thi sordering, wiht say alphabetical name, or better, teh order in which these albums are placed in our library

Problem with showing mp3 album art in list view.

I have litle problem with showing mp3 album artwork in list view.
In SNOW LEOPARD all work fine, and all mp3 files have album art's preview in list mode in finder.
But in LION i have only default preview mp3 icon.
Option "Show icon preview" is already on!

I have the fix!!!!
I have had the same issue ever since Lion. Its been very painful not having album art preview in finder or the play button when rollover the file for so many versions of OSX. Today I worked hard in trying to solve the problem since Applecare support hasn't helped much, all they did was tell me to bring the computer in. The other main reason I got so motivated to try and fix this is because the DJ app for Mac only reads album art from the finder even if iTunes can display the album art. The other reason that got me curious is that my friends macbook pro album art worked fine, so I cross checked with his computer until I figured out a few things that helped and ultimately fixed the issue. FINALLY!
My set up:
- I have my full iTunes library folder on my external as I have over 700GB of music.
- It includes all my database files in there, which is very important as I have many playlist settings from over 7 years of iTunes activity.
SOLUTION:
1. With every new computer I have purchased, I use to just pressed option on Mac and press iTunes to locate my folder (which I have said is located on my external drive).
2. I tried today to press option again BUT locate and selected the default library in the user/music folder of my internal drive (standard setting from Apple).
3. Miraculously, all the album art appeared in both my external drive library and also today's downloaded songs on my Macbook pro. Ofcourse with the new default location I don't have any songs or data.
4. So I tried to find a way to keep this library data on my internal drive since it can help the finder display all my files properly, yes even have the play on rollover button but as well link it back to my external drive with all my 700GB songs.
5. I then went into iTunes Preferences/Advance tab and in iTunes Media folder locationredirected the location to my external drive iTunes/ iTunes Media folder. If it asks to collate data, press NO.
6. Then I quit iTunes.
7. Next I copied the 4 files to my desktop from my external drive as I want to keep the data I have made with all my playlists etc. The four files are iTunes Library Extras.itdb ,iTunes Library Genius.itdb , iTunes Library.itl , iTunes Library.xml
8. I then went to my internal drive User/Music/Itunes/ and dragged these 4 files I copied from my external drive into here and making sure to REPLACE the four existing files already there.
9. Next open iTunes and you will find all your presettings appear with all your music linked to your external. What this does is keep the important library files on your internal drive (that somehow makes your finder files album art appear), BUT to read also all the music mp3 files located in the external drive (action from step 5)
Presto!! All your music files whether on internal drive or external all the album art has appeared.
