Animated content always in foreground. Indesign CS 5.5

Hey, i got a huge problem.
I am working on an ipad publication, viewing in adobe's content viewer for ipad. i have a lot of interaction going on in there. For example, if i wanna put a video file in one of my documents, or a scrollable content, or a slideshow, it's working like it should. BUT, as soon as i put another object in the foreground, like a button, on it - this button (object) is jumping in the background, behind the interactive content. Imagine a simple slideshow, with 3 buttons on it. as soon as i touch the buttons (using in content viewer) they immidiately jump behind the slideshow and you cannot see them anymore. what can i do? do i have to set the buttons, to force them in the forground? If yes -HOW? I've seen in the wired magazine for ipad, which is made with indesign, a video, which has object laying over, and whan you press play, the objects keep staying in the foreground and dont jump back. so its working - but how did they do that?

Thank you for your help. It solved my problem. I was following instructions that made it seem as if when I clicked on Export it would show Epub as a choice. In fact, it shows the Export window and I have to click on the Save as type drop down list to find Epub. Your reply got me to look closer at the Export window and that solved the problem. Thank you again.

Video clips and animated content works on AC ?

Content Generation Error in InDesign

"Content Generation Error" in InDesign-every time I try to preview my document I get the following message:[Error: The assets for one or more overlays could not be located. Verify the assets used are available on disk, then update the article.]. Everything was working fine perfectly just the other day when all I did was preview it in InDesign. I can't think of anything that I could have done to ruin it. All my links appear to be fine, and so far I've gone through and stripped most of the document to find the problem but it won't work unless I take out 99 percent of the document. It seems to have multiple issues and appears to be an entire corrupted document rather than just a few issues with MSOs. The document consists of five pages with vertical and horizontal layouts and I have slideshows, scrollable frames, and multi-state objects but no audio.

That was the first thing I tried because obviously I wanted to find out if it was a problem with my file or a general issue with all uploads to that folio. It seems to be working ok now, although I still have no idea what the problem was and I have never seen that error message before :s

Dreamworks Animation Content Gone?

Anyone have any information on why the Dreamworks Animation content is missing from the US store? We rented Megamind several weeks ago and decided to buy it but when I went to buy it, I couldn't locate Megamind on the US store at all. Checking around most of the Dreamworks Animation stuff is gone... Shrek, Madagascar, Megamind, etc (note that I did still see Kung Fu Panda, though).
Still wanting Megamind, I went the the Amazon store and the Instant Video says the following when you go to buy it:
Due to licensing restrictions, this movie will be unavailable for online viewing and downloading starting on Aug 29, 2011. You can watch this movie online as often as you'd like until that date. To have access to the movie while it's unavailable, be sure to download it to a TiVo DVR or Windows PC prior to Aug 29.
So something is changing regarding this movie's rights... I saw an article about Netflix getting an exclusive deal with Dreamworks for streaming but would that impact selling the content on iTunes?
Anyone have any info on this, are we losing Dreamworks Animation content on iTunes in the US for good??

Fit Content To Frame Crashes InDesign CS3 !

But whenever I execute this methos InDesign CS3 crashes..

You probably need to pass the content item and not the frame.
Use IHierarchy to navigate to the first child item of
newPageItemRef and pass that to FitContentToFrame instead.

How do I share content with InCopy and InDesign?

Hi, I have InDesign CC2014 and a trial of InCopy on my machine.
I have added an .indd file to the Creative Cloud Files folder and it now shows in the Assets > Files folder.
I want to share the content with another user at a different location.
In my InDesign, I have selected a text box, and gone to Edit > InCopy > Add selection to assignment > New now there is a new file in the Creative Cloud Files folder.
A separate user has their own Creative Cloud account.
I would now expect to somehow search for this separate user by email /username etc and 'assign' them access to this shared content.
I was hoping it would be something simple, similar to how a google doc spreadsheet is shared. If it is...I don't get it!
How do I do this please?

I think I spoke too soon - I still can't get consistent results - after somehow getting it to work, I re-traced my steps to repeat the process several times but without success. My scenario is two separate users, User A and User B, both in separate locations with separate CC accounts. User A has both InDesign and InCopy, User B InCopy only. Is there a tutorial anywhere - video, web page - I don't care - which explains in foolproof terms the respective steps necessary to collaborate on a single piece of content...Thanks in advance
PS I have trawled Adobe's youtube channel and the web in general and if such a tutorial exists, I can't find.

Content Viewer missing when InDesign is installed via Packager: how to install it? (Windows)

Hello there,
we're having an issue deploying InDesign CC via Packager on 9+ Windows7 workstations: Content Viewer is missing - error when previewing a Folio. (I've verified it can not be included in the package)
I've suggested administrators to manually install DPS Desktop tools downloaded from the Adobe website (Adobe - DPS Desktop Tools : For Windows) over the deployed InDesign, they report install is not successful.
All other CC applications work, including InDesign (updated to latest Feb 2015 release). Adobe AIR seems to be installed.
User has admin roles. Any suggestion about the proper installation workflow? Can we install Content Viewer only?.

I have placed audio and video into InDesign. I did it just exactly the way this video told me. Everything works well in the preview panel. However, when I exported it to EPUB, the file of the EPUB is so small (I guess, it should have been larger because I had added video and audio file into it). Plus, When I open it in EPUB reader (ibook) and Adobe Digital Edition, It shows nothing.
What I want to do is to create an EPUB which contains image, and sound. I want to make the image as a button which plays sound when I click it. I did it by setting he button to play when clicked, but again, it is not showing at all when published to EPUB.
I hope that there will be a good solution to this matter.

EPUB 3 - pressing content always toggles the nav guides!!! how to stop??

Hi considering that epub 3 is made for interactivity, is there a way to NOT HAVE the nav guides (library option and page navigation)come up every time you press the screen? and if not, is there anything that can be done with buttons in INDD or export that disables this?

We are aware of this issue. Prevent default () function is needed to disable reading system interactions as specified in above discussion link posted by Bob but we don't add this in our export for buttons or other interactive objects. Currently this is being done only for Edge Animation, so the only way to add this is via manual editing of exported FXL EPUB.

After updating firefox cannot play flash content always asks to install even when i have.

I updated to firefox 7 last night and this morning i cannot play any flash content, ive installed it many times but it always says i need to install it when ever i play flash. Its not listed in the plugins list and when i click to check if im up to date it says flash is out dated and been disabled, update to the latest version, which i have. A good tutorial/introduction but I have no idea why in the world would anyone go through all this instead of copy/paste in two key strokes??? this is not a feature, it's just bloat for the sake of being "kind of cool."
as for the actual interface - "you can't drag and drop" that would make too much sense.... "don't use the esc key" that would make too much sense....

UIScrollView content always at the top-left corner

I have a UIScrollView and a UIImageVew inside it. it works good but the problem im having now is when you zoom out. right after you zoom ... the inner content imageView scrolls to have its top left corner at the (0,0) position of the UISCrollView.
How can I fix it? I just want to UIImageView stays where it is after the zoom...

I am still working on this. I found that UIScrollView is keeping call "setContentOffset" method which may be invoked by a static method "adjustContentOffsetIfNecessary". I could not find any docs about this "adjustContentOffsetIfNecessary". Does anyone know about this method? Does anyone know how to stop UIScrollView from continuously try to move my contentView to the top left corner?
