Animation and FOI fresh

Hi
I have a problem with FOI refreshing. When I invoke refresh layer disappear on two second then show again. Is it possible to make it more smoothly?
I want refresh foi layer every second. Unfortunately its blinking :( Maybe you know how to "animate" data? I saw "Move FOI". It is useless during animation you can't control map.
Thanks in advance

Hi Larry,
I have a page that has two buttons, one to begin the course,
the other for navigation.
When I select the button for navigation it takes me to the
next slide, the next slide has 6 different arrow animations to
point out the skin features as an audio is running while I walk
them through each button.
These arrows appear on the edit slide, but when I play from
the first slide (or publish) and then select the course navigation
button. The audio starts on the slide, the image displays along
with text animation. But none of the six arrows show up at the
various times they are scheduled to appear.
The rest of the arrows I have on various other slides in the
class show up, this is the only slide that has issues.
Thanks!

Recent ITunes update has caused ITunes not to work. Tried uninstalling all Apple products and reinstalling fresh. Still doesn't work. Tried reinstalling from an old install.exe. Install went nicely but program won't start as it says it can't open the library file.

Now that I have no way of accessing any of the products I have purchased from ITunes, I will most certainly never use ITunes again for any reason. Why throw good money after bad?  I will use another MP3 player that is not as cumbersome or proprietary.
    Lesson learned.

If it's activation locked, you can't; go back to the shop and ask for a refund.

  • Laggy scrolling/animations and tricky touchpad on MacBook Pro w/Retina Display

As much as I loved the form factor and screen on the 15" 2.6ghz MBP w/Retina Display, the laggy scrolling, animations and intermimitently non-functional tap-to-click made me return it to Best Buy. A $3000 computer (after tax) shouldn't have problems that my Early 2011 MBP doesn't have. I thought the 10.8.2 update might fix this, but unfortunately it has not, even after a clean wipe.
Side note - 10.8.2 also made my 2011 MBP's battery literally drop by 1% a minute when on battery power. It's also ridiculously hotter. Unusable as a portable device.
Another side note - Best Buy really dillutes/degrades Apples great brand. The Apple Specialist in my local Best Buy in Dublin, CA is quite cranky and condescending. That will be the last time I buy an Apple product from Best Buy.

  • Making an interactive pdf with animations and a video?

    Hi Everyone,
I'm working in InDesign CS6 and I've made a interactive pdf with swf animations, exported it to an interactive pdf and everything works great from the little animations to the page curl. Now, I would like to put a video in on one of the pages.
I've placed it as a .mov and a .mp4, exported as a .swf. It works great in the swf and the html file. It even works great when I export the video page as a interactive pdf by itself.
BUT, when I export all the pages in my doc (with the animations and the video) as a swf, then RE-import into ID, to export as a interactive pdf... the pdf only gives me a static window. ALL the other animations and page curls work though.
So there's a disconnect between the video and going from a swf to a interactive pdf.
Can anyone tell me what step I'm missing or if this just isn't possible yet?!
    Thanks so much!!!

Without seeing actual file, it´s hard to say what´s going on... but have you chekced that Flash Player in Acrobat finds your video? When you export SWF from InDesign, videos or any other placed rich media files are not embedded into the SWF. InDesign creates a resources folder next to SWF and stores those media assets into that folder. If you don´t have that folder same place with exported SWF, you will have problems.
If you place your video file into your layout and export as PDF, there shouldn´t be any problems. But if you place your video file into your layout, export as SWF, place that SWF back to InDesign and then export as PDF... then you will lose the connection between resulting PDF and resources InDesign created.
One way to solve that is to use public URL for placing videos. Thwn you won´t need actual video file stored locally. Downside is that Acrobat/Reader may throw an alert about that.
Another way is to open your Interactive PDF to Acrobat, select placed SWF and embedd resources folder into PDF manually.

  • How do I go about animating and using the animated scene?

I am trying to work out the smartest way to do an animation and I hope someone can help me here.
I have a scene with water and 2 boats and I need to get the boats moving as if they are swaying in the water at the dock. The user will be able to click one of the boats and that will lead to another scene that have similar motion to make it look alive. This is only one part of a broader project I am working on. There is going to be many such scenes like I described with the boats where some objects will give slight motion to make it look alive. Each scene leads to another scene. The way I figured I would do this is animating the scene in flash without much programming if any at all, ie, using the timeline. And then my concept what to export that as some kind of flash and then be able to use that flash in my overall flash project. Does that make sense?
For an example kind of how the scene will feel I have included a link here to a site:
    http://www.saizenmedia.com/nightwish/
So my question is, is what I described above a good way to go about it? If so does someone more understand how they would do it? or is there a better way to go about it?
    Thanks for any help!

I'm having second thoughts here... maybe it should I should do it in After Effects and export it as a flash?
    Anyone?

I just purchased a MacBook Pro off of someone. They left a lot of their information on it, email, photos and all that. Is there an easy way to just delete everything on it and start fresh?

Before buying a second-hand computer, you should have run Apple Diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test, whichever is applicable.
The first thing to do after buying the computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. You—not the original owner—must do that. Changes made by Apple over the years have made this seemingly straightforward task very complex.
How you go about it depends on the model, and on whether you already own another Mac. If you're not sure of the model, enter the serial number on this page. Then find the model on this page to see what OS version was originally installed.
It's unsafe, and may be unlawful, to use a computer with software installed by a previous owner.
    1. If you don't own another Mac
    a. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller—not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine is very old and has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. Preferably, install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
    b. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for a MacBook Air. You should have received the media from the original owner, but if you didn't, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To start up from an optical disc or a flash drive, insert it, then restart the computer and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
    c. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, you don't need media. It should start up in Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
    d. Some 2010-2011 models shipped with OS X 10.6 and received a firmware update after 10.7 was released, enabling them to use Internet Recovery. If you have one of those models, you can't reinstall 10.6 even from the original media, and Internet Recovery will not work either without the original owner's Apple ID. In that case, contact Apple Support, or take the machine to an Apple Store or another authorized service provider to have the OS installed.
    2. If you do own another Mac
If you already own another Mac that was upgraded in the App Store to the version of OS X that you want to install, and if the new Mac is compatible with it, then you can install it. Use Recovery Disk Assistant to prepare a USB device, then start up the new Mac from it by holding down the C key at the startup chime. Alternatively, if you have a Time Machine backup of OS X 10.7.3 or later on an external hard drive (not a Time Capsule or other network device), you can start from that by holding down the option key and selecting it from the row of icons that appears. Note that if your other Mac was never upgraded in the App Store, you can't use this method.
    3. Partition and install OS X
    a. If you see a lock screen when trying to start up from installation media or in Recovery mode, then a firmware password was set by the previous owner, or the machine was remotely locked via iCloud. You'll either have to contact the owner or take the machine to an Apple Store or another service provider to be unlocked. You may be asked for proof of ownership.
    b. Launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive—not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the  Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive.
    c. An unusual problem may arise if all the following conditions apply:
OS X 10.7 or later was installed by the previous owner
The startup volume was encrypted with FileVault
You're booted in Recovery mode (that is, not from a 10.6 installation disc)
In that case, you won't be able to unlock the volume or partition the drive without the FileVault password. Ask for guidance or see this discussion.
    d. After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. If you're installing a version of OS X acquired from the App Store, you will need the Apple ID and password that you used. When the installation is done, the system will automatically restart into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
    e. Run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. To upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, get it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the original owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed—you have to repurchase them.
    4. Other issues
    a. If the original owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're irrevocably linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Mac App Store Customer Service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
    b. If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able to  authorize it immediately under your ID. In that case, you'll either have to wait up to 90 days or contact iTunes Support.
    c. When trying to create a new iCloud account, you might get a failure message: "Account limit reached." Apple imposes a lifetime limit of three iCloud account setups per device. Erasing the device does not reset the limit. You can still use an iCloud account that was created on another device, but you won't be able to create a new one. Contact iCloud Support for more information. The setup limit doesn't apply to Apple ID accounts used for other services, such as the iTunes and Mac App Stores, or iMessage. You can create as many of those accounts as you like.

  • Keynote 09, send to itunes, will my animations and builds play?

Keynote 09, send to itunes, will my animations and builds play?

Assuming you are talking about porting a presentation prepared in Keynote '09 on OSX to be used on an iOS Device such as iPad, you should know that most but not all of the animations will be preserved. Those that can't be replicated in iOS are replaced by Keynote.
Here are two good references for having the least problems between the two platforms that might help:

    Good Luck.
PS: If you scroll through the builds and animation options on the two platforms you will get the best idea of what is and is not available on each.

  • Hello, I just want to formate the computer and start fresh??

Hello, I just want to formate the computer and start fresh??

    NavarroSergio,
since you have a Late 2011 model, you can use OS X Internet Recovery to start fresh.
First, you’ll need to completely erase your internal disk. Boot your MacBook Pro into Recovery mode by holding down a Command key and the R key as it starts up. Once the Mac OS X Utilities menu appears, select Disk Utility. On the left-hand side of the Disk Utility window, select your internal disk (typically the first item in the list). On the right-hand side, click on the Erase tab. In the Format dropdown menu, select “Mac OS Extended (Journaled)”; in the Name textbox, enter a name for the reformatted volume (“Macintosh HD” is typical). Press the Erase… button, and erase your disk. When the erasure is completed, exit Disk Utility and select Shutdown from the Apple menu.
The next time that you start up, OS X Internet Recovery will download your MacBook Pro’s original version of OS X (either 10.7.2 or 10.7.3) from Apple’s servers, and then install it. When it finishes, you’ll again see the welcome video just like when you first got it. Fill in your relevant information as you did the first time, and when you log in for the first time, run Software Update to get back to 10.7.5.

  • Flash CS3 Animation and Audio not timed properly when packaged.

I am trying to create a simulation with audio, mouse movement, mouse clicks and screen changes. When I play the movie in Flash, the animation and the audio are timed properly. However, when I package it, the animation falls behind the audio. I am using wavs for the audio - I've tried mp3s also.
I have a screen displayed with a mouse. The audio and a highlight indicate the next step, then the mouse moves and clicks the desired area - with a audio mouse click. The first "click" sound is pretty close to where it is supposed to be, but as the movie plays, it begins to occur earlier and earlier. So much so, that the audio starts to begin prior to animation is complete later in the move. This is not a real long demonstration, only about 1100 frames, but I notice the problem around frame 180.
    Any suggestions?

IE stinks. There's a huge performance difference when playing
    SWFs in
Firefox and IE. We have seen SWFs reach 100fps in FF 3.0
    while the same SWF
taps out at around 40fps in the latest IE browser. It's not
    Flash, it is the
    browser.

  • Do all animations and features of Keynote save as PowerPoint Presentations and are all of the animations and features then useable on a PC in the .ppt format, will it work properly?

Do all animations and features of Keynote save as PowerPoint Presentations and are all of the animations and features then useable on a PC in the .ppt format, will it work properly?
I want to buy a Macbook Pro, but i need to know the scale of compatability between my Microsoft products and my soon to be apple products, proffessional presentations are vital for what i want, therefore compatability if key if i am to purchase a Mac. Thank you.

Not all of the animations and features in Keynote will transition into Powerpoint.  Most of the basic ones do - but not the advanced.  I had this issue when I first switched over to Mac, so to overcome this, I do two things:
I figured out which animations and transitions work in both Keynote and Powerpoint and used them.  It's kind of a pain when I can't use the awesome Keynote animations, however, Keynote is still much easier and intuitive to work in than Powerpoint.
I sometimes export my Keynote presentations to a Quicktime movie (.mov).  Apple makes it very simple to export to this format; which can then be accessed on both a Mac and PC and all of the transitions and effects remain as they are in Keynote.
    I hope that helps.

  • Disabling interface animations and eye-candy

Is there any way to disable the interface animations and eye-candy in Aperture. I particularly want to disable the animations that play on stacks. Opening, closing, and sorting of stacks. They are sooooo slow with stacks of 30+ images. Especially when using keyboard commands to quickly perform multiple commands on a stack — it will start to play 2 or 3 animations on top of each other and it grinds the app to a halt.

    Amen, brother!
It would be fine to have all the spinning, swooshing, eye candy if the basic program ran well. But it's so sluggish, and there are so many performance issues on such a wide variety of hardware (just peruse the topic titles here if you have any doubt) that it's completely exasperating to have to wait for all the eye candy to execute before the program can actually do what you're asking of it.
I've learned not to use stacks or smart albums (even touching these brings my Dualie 2.5 ghz G5 to its knees, spod city...) but there are a number of animations you trigger just in use. Would be interesting to see if turning them off speeds up the programs core functions...

  • Graphic animation and texture technique

    Hello Adobe,
I'm wanting mock this graphic within after effects and wondering how I can get this same animation and texture effect from solids or shape layers? Watch video below (5s).
    WIN Television - PRG [2014] - YouTube
    Thank you.

If you mean the graphic then layer your shapes with gradients for fills then add the other elements. Basic illustrating skills are all that is required. Then you just animate the shapes one layer at a time until you get the look you want.
These are the most basic skills. There's nothing automatic that you can just push a button or click the checkbox to duplicate this animated graphic.
