How?

In web forms, you can use an animated GIF anywhere you can use a regular (non-aminated) GIF image. No extra work is necessary. It won't work in client/server.

Hi,
the only chance I see is with a Java Bean that support Flash animations. I did search the Web a while ago when this question came up the first time, but wasn't able to find a bean that supports a recent version of Flash.

Flash animation in Forms 9.0.X

Is there a way to display a flash animation (.SWF) file in a version 9.0 form. The key here is without using webutil to create an OLE container. I'd like to use the out of the box functionality to do this. Thanks

Problem in running animation in forms runtime , can any body help me

Hi,
I did a small project using forms 6I . When I run my project the first cansvas named Welcome Screen will be displayed. I.e this is the first canvas displayed. Now my problem is : In that WelcomeScreen canvas I placed a OLE object and inserted a Powerpoint presentation file i.e .propic.ppt file. I setted custom animation setting for all object in that presentation slide. Now my requirement is to animate that file with formruntime i.e once I run the project opening canvas should be displayed and all the objects in the OLE i.e. ppt file within runtime. That is menu attached should be displayed as it is and presentation should be animated. After that I go to data entry module by selecting appropriate menu item from the menu. For this problem what I tried is I imported OLE Control from tools menu in formbuilder and make the OLE properties that is path of the ppt file and Activation property is set to doubleclik . When I runned my project after these settings, if I double click then it is showing slidewithout animation and my main windows and all other windows disappearing. When I click end show in slide then it is returning to my formsruntime module. This is not the requirement, all that i want is my runtimewindows should be displayed within which the presenation file must be animated. Is it possible to do so, if so please suggest the way to improve the visual quality of my project.

I checked the form. I didn't find the cursor blinking. Infact as the form starts the cursor moves to the button. The only thing is the item speed. You can change the speed by increasing or decreasing the variable time_passed in when-new-form-instance trigger. And also in the when-timer-expired trigger, you can increase or decrease the x position of the item to make the animation fast or slow.
In this trigger, you need to change this:
SET_ITEM_PROPERTY(v_item,POSITION,v_x_pos + 5,v_y_pos);
change 5 to another value.
To get the more appropriate result, change the coordinate system to points.
I think it should be clear now.

How to make an animated editable text box?

I want to make a pdf form with textboxes and tickboxes, but one that includes animations (like zooming in on a specific part).
My approach was to create it in InDesign along with the animations, and use Acrobat Pro to make the pdf. However either the animation part, or the filling in part doesn't work in the final pdf.
I'm not sure if this is the way to go, but with no programming skills I would love it to work.

Even if you did have the programming skills, I'm not certain animated PDF form fields would be feasible, or desirable. InDesign > PDF animations are Flash based, and somewhat a backward step with respect to supporting technologies and viable deployment. If anything, you'd want to be exploring the possibilities of doing what you envision using HTML 5, or at least JQuery, which I know can be used to animate within form fields.

n whats the use of using import java classes, Java-classes can be imported to enhance the functionality with logic written in java. The java-coe gets executed on the application-server. An example might be the logic to call a webservice.
import OLE interface OLE is a windows-technique to somehow "remote-control" windows-applications or functionality provided in Active-X-dlls. OLE-calls work on the client (and in 10G require WEBUTIL)

It will be easy if you are capable of the nechnologies you need. JDeveloper is not a technology but a tool for java-development which supports the development of web-applications. But, there are a lot of web-technologies based on java which you can use. For more details you might read some stuff about JEE

As forms requires a somehow "fat" client with the installation of the Java-Runtime and certain permissions for the applet to work properly, it may not be the first choice if you implement some public web-application. For "inhouse"-applications run on a companies intranet which deal with "alphanumerical data", forms may be the better choice because of a more Windows-like behaviour and/or its great productivity. (Both are just examples, you'll have to decide which technology to use based on certain reuqirements for a certain application)

AME CC and 2014 crashed

Hi,
I am having some difficulties transcoding from XMF to .mov (screenshot attached) at HD 1080i 25,H.264, AAC 48Khz using both the CC 7.2.2.29 and CC 2014 8.0.0.173 version with an unknown error.
Would like to know if any experts can help

I have the problem, that i can´t render a very tiny project in AME CC (adobe media converter) while the rendering in AE CC with the cue works.
My Project contains one comp (ray traced 3D) with 4 layers of which one is a light, one is a camera, and two are 3D Layers of animated graphic elements (the first contains three animated .ai-Layers and the second 3 pictures and an animated extruded Form).
I can see rendered frames in the project in AE CC in under one second but when i try to render it in the media encoder (AME CC), the rendering process is extremly slow. If Adobe would offer the h.264 (mp4) codec in AE CC, i would have no problem, but since its only available in AME, i need to render it with the AME.
My Memory Allocation in AE CC is: 21GB used for AE, MP on with 8 Cores (and 2GB for every Core), disk cache is activated with 12GB on a SSD only used for caching, which contains also the media database and the media cache.
When i try to render the project with AME, the pc uses every core, despite than using 8, causing 100% cpu usage on all 12 cores (although 2 cores are reserved for other programs).
Rendertime AE CC (Quicktime, FullHD, h.264, 5mbit): 3:16min
Rendertime AME CC (Quicktime, FullHD, h.264, 5mbit): stopped after 6 Minutes with 1/4 of the clip rendered, AME CC hangs causing 100% CPU usage
Another project, which is rendering fine in AE CS6 (the second mentioned in the start post), renders super slow in AE CC (30sec (CS6) compared to 1:44min (CC) max per frame), so that i have to come to the conclusion, that there some issues with the AME CC Rendering Engine.
I´am in motion graphics and video cutting for 15 years now, but had never such problems with rendering my projects.

.FXG export problem

Hi! I'm a Flash newbie, and I'd like to create a game using .svg sprites made from Flash CS6. Now I know that I can export single frames as .fxg and export them in Illustrator as .svg, but does anyone know how to export a whole animation as a ".fxg sequence?" Because the animation is formed of 100 frames, and I can only export .fxg individually. Thank you!

Flash Pro CC 2014 (v14.0.0.110) is now available for download via the Creative Cloud App and Adobe website.
We have added SVG Export feature to Flash Pro with this new release. You will now be able to export out vector content from the selected frame as an SVG image that can be opened directly in a Browser and even imported in Adobe Illustrator.
SVG Export option can be accessed via the Publish Settings as well as via File Menu > Export > Export Image option.

AME CC and AE CC render speed

Hi folks, i´ve big problems with rendering stuff in Adobe CC. Projects build up completly in AE CC won´t render well in AME CC but in AE CC itself? I tested a scene (ray-traced 3D) with different codecs (avi uncompressed f.e.) in both programs. AE CC needed 2:30 min (at 20% CPU Usage), and in AME CC i stopped the rendering after 10 min with 100% CPU Usage without finishing a quarter of the scene? Frames are previewed in AE CC in >1 second (full quality).
Another problem: a template build for AE CS3, edited in AE CS6 needs about 1h to be rendered in FullHD (tif-sequence), with rendertimes of max 30sek/frame. The same project edited in AE CC needs up to 1:44min/frame? Maybe its a problem with the CC Light burst plugin (Intensity 150, Ray length 180), but my experiences with other projects (and filters) show me, that there is a general problem with the render engine.
My system:
Windows 7 64bit
Intel i7 3950 (6/12 Cores)
Geforce 580
32GB RAM
2 SSD (one System and programs and one only for caching) á 256GB
1 HDD 1TB

How can i insert animated gif or flash files (.swf) or another type of animated files in Form?

If you are web deployed you can put an animated gif as the image to an iconic button.
Image items cannot display animated gifs.
Anything else you can do through a JavaBean if you need to.

there is native control called "Bean area", there is special
java class to do that. all you need to specify is the
implementation class of the Bean Area

Creating an animation in a form field

How do you make this happen? I just want to make it work on a
single page before I proceed further. I don't think I need a step
by step (at least not yet :) I just need to know how this is being
done so I can create my own version. I've googled for this. But I
think I'm not using the correct terms, so google is giving me
squat. At first I thought it was some kind of interactive, animated
.gif. Now I'm just not sure... I even went so far as to create the
gif, now it just sits on the webpage..
NOTE: I downloaded the site into Dw using WA Site Import.
When I go to preview index.html. It doesn't show me that cool
little animation when I type in the search box...

Could you pls explain what you are trying to do? You can store
links in the form field directly. If you want to make them links
then use href.
