ANM device importing and config sync - user name authenticatiing via ACS

Good day,
We have the following issue:
Switches and ACE modules imported into ANM 3.2. Additional modules added and tried to import. Failed. Tried to sync and recieved the following message for Admin context:
- Failed to import ACE configuration: Device discovery failed: cannot find the serial number.
All other contexts also fail to sync.
Thought this may be due fact that the user Id used for import is and AD account and this authenticates via ACS to AD and this has expired and changed since original import. Deleted chassis and re-impoted with same user Id and new password and all works fine.
Have checked the links below, however, I don't beleive these will resolve the issue:

I beleive this is occuring due the fact that we are authenticating via ACS to AD for all devices (switches and ACE modules) as well as ANM.
So is the only solution here to create a static user account in ACS and add to relevent NDG's for switches and ACE modules?
Also would we have to have the password never expire as I don't see a way to change/configure this password within ANM apart from when the devices are initially imported?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Did you change the email address or create a new Apple ID?
If the email address associated with the account was merely changed, sign out of the Apple ID on the devices and sign in using the new credentials.

Hmmmm... would appear that you need to be actually logged in to enable the additional menu features.
Have you tried deletting the plists for MAS?

I have a working gmail account on my Mac and the same user name and password for my IPad. I am getting an error message when trying to retrieve mail on the IPad indicating that the user name or password is incorrect. I have tried deleting the account and adding it again, but doesn't solve the problem.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

There are no children, nor other suspicious characters that have "played" with my computer. One moment I'm in, the next time I turn on/restart the powerbook I'm at a screen with the name of the hard drive and two fields: username and password. Not a list with pictures and names ie 'Katie Jo' with an orange icon and 'Guest' with a silhouette of a head.
In an attempt to remedy this problem, I backed up files using target disk mode and firewire cable. I then, rebooted in single user mode, typed in the correct script and essentially made the computer appear virgin again. Original start up welcome screen display with multiple languages, and then set up prompts such as language, network, and registration. After completing the cues and the "just a few more questions" page, I press continue and am left at a grey standstill, with the continue button greyed out, and no other actions. I'm only able to "go back" by clicking the go back button, all the way to the beginning of the set up, and as I proceed through the steps a second time, I'm greeted with the same halt. What is this?

Imports Photos from one user name to another

We have two user profiles on my IMac (myself and my wife). Each has a separate IPhoto. My wife has imported some of our photos into her IPhoto, while I have imported others into mine. How can I import/share the photos between the user names so that we can have ALL the photos in the same IPhoto folder?

For iPhoto 09 (version 8.0.2) and later:
What you mean by 'share'.
If you want the other user to be able to see the pics, but not add to, change or alter your library, then enable Sharing in your iPhoto (Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and use Fast User Switching to open the other account. In that account, enable 'Look For Shared Libraries'. Your Library will appear in the other source pane. And vice versa
Any user can drag a pic from the Shared Library to their own in the iPhoto Window.
Remember iPhoto must be running in both accounts for this to work.
If you want the other user to have the same access to the library as you: to be able to add, edit, organise, keyword etc.
First you'll need to merge the two Libraries. The only way to do this is with the paid ($20) version of
iPhoto Library Manager
Quit iPhoto in both accounts. Move the Library to the Users / Shared Folder
(You can also use an external HD set to ignore permissions, a Disk Image or even partition your Hard Disk.)
In each account in turn: Double click on the Library to open it. (You may be asked to repair the Library Permissions.) From that point on, this will be the default library location. Both accounts will have full access to the library, in fact, both accounts will 'own' it.
However, there is a catch with this system and it is a significant one. iPhoto is not a multi-user app., it does not have the code to negotiate two users simultaneously writing to the database, and trying will cause db corruption. So only one user at a time, and back up, back up back up.

ACE Switchover and Config Sync

I'm new to the ACE modul and trying to set up some szenarios and i run already into some troubles.
Question 1)
I configured redundancy to another module - virtulised mode. Config sync between the context worked fine. If i change s'thing in the activ context it was copied to the standby context. But if i changed something in the active Admin context it was not copied to the standby Admin context.
Question 2)
FT Switchover in the Admin context is not possible returns the following fault:
ACE_Switch08/Admin# ft switchover
This command will cause card to switchover (yes/no)? [no] yes
Invalid FT group. FT switchover command will be ignored.

If I switch a single FT group it works. But how is it possible to switch all FT groups a the same time? Do i have to switch each context by itself?
Question 3)
After i have switched the active context to the standby context, the ft group x command shows both peers as active. After i take the standby ft group no inservice and back inservice it shows correctly Active and standby_HOT.

1)
for my config i just put the "user" or "backend" contexts into ft groups. I don't sync the admin contexts on both aces. I am not even sure if that makes sense or is "best practicse".
So if you don't put the admin context into an extra ft group it won't be synced. you have to configure the admin contexts on each physical ace separately.
Putting the contexts sf0-2200 & sf0-2220 into an ft group and not having an ft group for admin is the way to go IMHO.
2)
If you do a switchover you always have to specify which context you want to switchover. I don't think that you can actually switchover a whole bunch of contexts with this command. If you want to do that a reload is the only way AFAIK.
Try:

3)
This could be because you have not configured the other ACE's admin context to participate in the ft properly.

That means that your user name or password in the iPhone's settings are incorrect. You will need to fix them before mail will work.

Netweaver UME and LDAP sync ( user data)

We have a requirement to support the offiline availability for one of the netweaver servers in the landscape . We are planning to integrate all the java netwevaer systems with LDAP and is there any possibility to sync all the user data including password to the netweaver UME in case of LDAP not available. So, users can do some tasks in offline mode with LDAP .
Any information regarding would be greatly appreciated.

This tool looks interesting, and might be useful to Rao, but it would need some improvements to make it secure. I suggest using cryptographically secured session between the domain controller and the SAP system so that password changes can be send to SAP, and then captured by an RFC function module, and written into SAP user store. Since RFCs in SAP can be secured using SNC, and AD uses Kerberos, it would be good/easy to use Kerberos to secure the session between the DC and SAP ABAP when passing the password over the network. Then, the J2EE engine can be configured to use ABAP as the user store via UME. The end result is that Active Directory can be used to authenticate to SAP, and if AD is not available, or wide area network is not available the ABAP/UME password can be used locally.
One issue worth considering, is what happens when there is no network connection from the domain controller to the SAP system ? The software would have to queue the request so that when network connection is back, the password change is pushed to SAP system, and then the two password stores will be in sync at all times. Without this queuing system there is a chance the password will get out of sync.
Obviously, a lot of work to do in order to make this work, especially if you want it to work securely and reliably. However, it has some possibilities.

I just purchased an iMac and upon setting it up I initiated an username and a password. Unfortunately I didn't write it down and now I'm trying to add software and the system won't let me because I forget that info. How do I reissue a new usernam and password?

Boot from your recovery partition by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the recovery desktop appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, enter “resetpassword” and press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password.
Select  ▹ Restart from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but you won't be able to unlock the Keychain. If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it. You’ll need to reset your keychain in the preferences of the Keychain Access application.

Can't Connect ASDM and Console Forces User Name: & Password: Prompts

After pulling a brand new ASA 5515 out of the box this morning, I spent countless hours scratching my head wondering why:
1. I cannot establish an HTTPS connection to the Management port - https://192.168.1.1/admin
2. When connecting via the console port I get prompted with a username and password sequence that I don't know
I get an SSL Version Error message when I try to connect with any browser. although I did find a way to resolve it, it requires a console port connection which is not working either.
This is not my typical experience with the console or ASDM port setup. What is going on? Any help from anyone would be so appreciated.

Hmm,
To my understanding Console connection on a fresh unit shouldnt ask for a username and it shouldnt even have an enable password (should be able to leave it blank and press enter). Or atleast that is how I remember it.
I am not sure if the new ASA5500-X models are different.
I think on when using ssh (or was it telnet) without username configured required you to use username pix and password cisco to log in.

HT203808 Mixed up iCloud and Apple ID user names/passwords

My daughter and I had been sharing iCloud for our phones. I created a new email account for her and told her to set up her own iCloud on her phone. I told her to delete the account (mine) listed on her phone and then to go back in and create a new account. I have no idea what she did. She seems to have changed my account to her email address. I thought I finally had it figured out after going back and forth in emails because it didn't recognize my password. Changed the password, I can get on and when I go to manage storage, it just shows my phone...and 5gb of storage even though I pay for 10 extra and it always shows 15gb. Is all the information now on her phone? This is so frustrating. When I went on iCloud I checked and my email address is the only one listed. However, when I tried to create a new apple id using her new email address it said that the id already existed, which I'm sure it does- with all of my information. She, even though she created the stupid thing 20 minutes ago, "can't remember her password." UGH. Any ideas?

Okay so what she did was she CHANGED my iCloud id to her new email and all of that information went with her. So her ID shows the 15gb of storage. How do I change it back? It won't let me online.
