I'm at a disadvantage because I haven't upgraded since CS2. To purchase a la carte (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat & Dreamweaver), I'd have to spend $2845.
Design Standard suite plus Dreamweaver will cost me $1698.
If I join the Cloud at regular rates, I'll only spend $600/yr. So yeah, I'm tempted.

Trial period has expired for legit CS6 Creative Cloud subscription??

Last night Adobe Application Manager upgraded itself. All well and good. It showed correctly what CS6 apps I had downloaded and installed previously.
I am a CS6 Creative Cloud subscriber with nine months to go.
Subsequently when I tried to start Dreamweaver or for that matter any other creative CS6 application, like Photoshop - I get the following error:
Your trial period has expired!
I have been using all installed Creative Cloude appd for the last 3-4 months with no problems! Why this now??

The creative cloud subscription is fine but the whole 'license expired' license this software, you have 5 days left of your trial or 'please enter your serial number' (what serial number for the cloud ??) that seems to pop up at alarming rate on both of my machines.
As soon as I re-log on with my adobe id (which never seems to be logged in however many times I log in and say 'remember') it then 'activates' my subscription .. but never remembers by the afternoon!
The whole thing is just not very slick. It is not very impressive that every two or three days I have to keep re-activating etc the subscription to the cloud, sometimes it takes quite a few run arounds with the logon before it finally says ... 'yes, you are activated / subscribed etc or whatever'.
Surely with creative cloud, perhaps the applications could be re-written to realize that there is a creative cloud and that the person using the app is not requiring to buy the product or stop using the trial etc. I wonder is this happening all the time for all the users of the cloud ??
I can understand the cloud / Adobe need to check that the person is running a legit version but it is not going to leave a good impression with all the users if dialogs pop up all the time with odd messages saying about trial versions or 4 days left of your trial.
Just a simple dialog ... if a cloud member, 'please connect to the web to check activation etc'... and then allow the user to continue with the product.

I have the License Number for CS6 Creative Suite How does this translate for "Creative Cloud"

I have the License Number for CS6 Creative Suite, but when I downloaded Creative Suite and tried to license the product, it keeps coming up with an error, "The Serial Number is not valid for Adobe Photoshop CC." How do I register my product?

Photoshop CC is the equivalent of CS7... and it is available ONLY by paying for a monthly subscription... your CS6 serial number does not work for CC

I'm having trouble registering for the Creative Cloud $14.99 a month student plan. Once I've filled out the form and hit 'confirm' the following message comes up: "Payment System Unavailable: We're sorry. Something seems to be wrong on our end. Please try again later. I'm currently paying for a Creative Cloud photographers plan but I'm stuck with a free trial, how can i license it when it asks for a serial?

I've paid for Adobe Creative cloud photographers package under a monthly subscription but i'm currently only getting access to the free trial as I can't seem to license the software, when I go to license it as instructed by Adobe I'm still asked for a serial number? When I check my Adobe account it shows no sign of any pain subscription yet they seem to be taking money from my account? I can't seen to find a means of taking it up with Adobe directly as I either want a refund of full access to the software i'm paying for.

I currently have CS4 Web Premimum and I an interested in upgrading to the CS6 Creative Cloud. How many computers can I use my subscription for? Currently it is two, but I want to make sure this will still be the case for CS6. Also would my CS4 applications run on alternate computers if I installed it?

One of the Adobe videos notes that a merit of the software is that you can mix and match users. For example if you have a freelancer who needs a copy of CS6 to fit in with your workflow then you can buy a month on month subscription. I imagine this would apply to a yearly subscription if you need to share it about within the licensing constraints. From what I've read you can only have one instance of CS6 "as long as they are not running at the same time". This is the wording of the terms "install them on your primary computer and one backup computer".

Capturing from HVX-200p in PP CS6 Creative Cloud vs. OnLocation

I presently own the CS4 MC but am up against the deadline for getting Creative Cloud for $29.99/month.
What is not clear to me is whether I can continue to capture in 720p or 1080i direct to my computer somewhere in the Cloud apps, presumably PP. What format will it capture in from the Panasonic via firewire?
Presently, OnLocation in CS4 nicely captures sound as .wav's and video as .avi's from the Panasonic. Plus, I've been able to take my laptop on location to capture in HD using OnLocation. If I'm not mistaken, I lose that with Creative Cloud.
This post (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4464073) seems to recommend keeping OnLocation, but how is that done if Creative Cloud replaces my existing CS4? Also, since I don't have those rediculously expensive memory cards for the Panasonic, I capture direct to my editing workstation most of the time in house and rarely use the laptop. Works great via firewire. In fact, CS4 is still "adequate" for my needs.
One final question: Is everyone on board with CS6 being worth it in Creative Cloud? Compared to CS4, are the features worth it (everything being 64-bit seems to be a big plus)? Are a ton of bugs still being worked out?

In this log file I can see you are getting Error : U44M1P7 while updating the software
This Error comes where language packs for software are not installed properly on the machine.
I would suggest to update Adobe Application manager from
Windows : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
MAC: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774
then try to install the update if still you are not able to update software and getting same error then uninstall all the Adobe software selecting remove prefernces.
After uninstalling the software run the Adobe Cleaner tool(http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and remove the leftovers.
