Boston area. We will be running site visits the week of February
11th and would love to spend two-hours with you at your place of
work. What we are looking to do is get a better understanding of
how you work, what your processes are in your natural environment.
We will gladly thank you with some Adobe software as well as

Adobe is looking for participants for a brief (~1 hour) online work observation and interview.
There are two sets of criteria, each applying to a different study. Read the criteria carefully before responding. Also, you must indicate in the subject line of your response which one of the two studies you meet the criteria for and wish to participate in.

A MacBook Pro is a fine computer, but it depends on the policy of the school you will be attending. Some schools say, "any computer will work fine" others say, "We use software that only runs on one kind of computer." So you really need to ask your school.
Engineering in general seems to be old-fashioned in the techniques and tools that they use. That they are getting anything new accomplished is sometimes astonishing. You will probably have four semesters of Calculus to learn before they let you do anything really interesting. And during that time, you will have English and History papers to write. Macs are very good for that work as well.
If you will be doing work in another Language as well as English, Macs can switch quickly between them, and surf the web and print in other languages really easily as well.

Attempted to mail an email with a large attachment file. One of the addresses was bad. When my Outlook is running, the Mac tries to send it and shows the progress. However, when I look in my Outbox the files are not there. It does show up in the Outb

If you think getting your web pages to appear OK in all the major browsers is tricky then dealing with email clients is way worse. There are so many of them.
If you want to bulk email yourself, there are apps for it and their templates will work in most cases...

I Recommend the iPad Mini Retina, it's not to big, and not to small. It has the speed of the iPad Air due to it having the same 64 Bit chips. ( And it's a lot cheaper!!) I have one myself and it's perfect for my school work!

Any schedule for faster internet in the Boston area?

Hmm, ok. In this case the Zyxel Prestige 861 would happen to be a VDSL modem. According to some specifications I've found on that modem, it does do VDSL, and it's max speed is 52Mbps/26Mbps assuming asymmentrical, or 25Mbps up and down for symmentrical service. So, it does seem as though you had an MDU install with the lesser VDSL option. Probably not by choice of Verizon though.
Verizon typically limits the VDSL ONTs to about 20Mbps/5Mbps, to perhaps a Max of 25Mbps/15Mbps, essentially all of the older tiers except 50Mbps/20Mbps.

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to rebuild the thumbnails. This can take three or four goes.

Have you tried all of these?
1. Pressing the Eject key while opening the iMac.
2. Pressing the Eject key while closing down the iMac.
3. Holding down the Option key while restarting the iMac.
4. Using Disk Utility to try to Mount, Repair and Eject the disk.
5. Holding down the Mouse while restarting the iMac.
6. Pressing the O and F keys while closing down the iMac.
7. Opened Applications > Utilities >Terminal and typed in 'drutil tray eject'.

I embedded some HTML code into adobe Muse but not displaying when the pages are Exporting to HTML

I embedded some HTML code into adobe Muse and when I published the remote site on business catalyst the (Add This widget) HTML code shows up but when I exported the site to HTML pages and view the index page in the browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox) the (Add this widget) HTML code wouldn't display on any of the pages. I've used this code before on other Muse sites not sure what could have happened. Thnx!!!

I chose to purchase a MacMini Intel model to hookup to my 36 inch Sony TV.
I chose this model for several reasons as I also have a Web Camera hooked up to it at the same time via Firewire. I use Front Row and iTunes to distribute music throughout the house wirelessly to other stereos and to view what is playing now via the TV.

The photos aren't that great but you get the idea. The TV screen looks great in person as opposed to the photos with the glare and the darkness.
Some TV's don't look as good as my TV looks from what I have heard so your TV may or may not look as good. I am about to upgrade to a 42 inch Panasonic HD Plasma TV which should give an even better picture. At this time, my TV is connected to the MacMini via the "S-Video" cable. The HDMI video cable is a better choice if your TV has that capability.
The new iTV from Apple is rumored to be released sometime this coming Spring.

Adobe gives permission of second-hand products to be distributed to Charity and Non-Profit bodies - a scheme was set up in Ireland through The Wheel, however Adobe opted to switch towards anorther operator (who seems to ONLY provide to Registered Charities in England and Wales and Scotland - Charitiies and Non-profit bodies set up with tax-exempt status in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland seem to be excluded. Adobe touch impratical for some users and can't keep scroll bars showing.

I have tried to keep my scroll bars showing when opening a document with Adobe Reader only to not have them show the next time I open a document. Although I have a touch screen, I don't want to use touch. It is much more efficient for me to be able to scroll through longer documents. I can change the settings each time I open a document but this is too cumbersome to constantly use this way and I have not been able to find a way to save my settings. Perhaps there is an older version better for me or perhaps I need to look for another company for opening pdfs. This program is so convoluted that I can't even find where to tell you what version it is, but it should be the latest for Windows PC touch.

Thanks, this fixed the problem. What made doing this difficult is that on many documents I open, there was no menu at the top where I could ever get to "Preferences". Opening a different document, let me see the file menu where I could make this change. Again, Thanks.

We are starting a Computer Management course in our school district where the students will basically be doing a tier 1 helpdesk. Does anyone have this type of thing going on at your school? Im looking for ideas as to how to handle these kids' user rights as well as what they do. Im worried things can get messy by giving the students too many permissions.
