  • DW-CS3 CSS Layout vs. Eric Meyer CSS Sculptor

I am in the process of upgrading from CS2 to CS3. I noticed
that DW-CS3 offers many enhancements in the area of CSS. I also am
aware of the WebAssist CSS Sculptor by Eric Meyer. What I am
wondering is if I upgrade to DW-CS3 do I need CSS Sculptor? Does
Sculptor offer that much more than DW's new enhancements or can a
novice do just fine with DW?
    Thanks

I think you'll do just fine with the layouts shipped with
    DW.... though for
a novice, I'd suggest you'd need to become familiar with CSS.
    Lots of good
css tutorials at the Adobe site that will get you started..

  • Where to get overview of css selectors for skinning?

    Hi,
I've just started to try some skinning for ADF Mobile as described in the developer's guide section 5.12. The basics work fine and I grabbed an example from the skinning sample project.
Now that this is working I'm looking for all the available CSS selectors for skinning. Is there a list somewhere in the documentation or a way to find out the classes at runtime. Since I can't get access to the DOM tree with my favorite inspectors I can't think of a way to find the available selectors.
Has anyone found a way to list all available classes/selectors?

The easiest way is to get the Javascript debugging working. I've replied to the post on that thread to get that moving forward (you need to use Safari, not Chrome).
We are currently still producing the documentation for the css selectors and this wasn't ready for the preview.

  • Stand alone CSS editor for WDA

im at a client who doesnt have a portal.
So there is no access to the portal  theme editor.
When using WDA direct to a NW 7.11 , the customer would like to brand the output.
A few years back I recall some stand alone theme editor.
Eclipse add on ?   May have been an SAP only internal tool. ?
Is there a customer available version ?
How best to go about CSS editing for WDA ?
    regards
    Phil

Did you first search SDN before posting your thread?  This is a very common question and yes there is a standalone theme editor. In fact one of the sticky threads in the forum discusses it.

You can download the Theme Editor and the How To Guide from this page on SDN:

  • Creating A CSS Rule For Version 13.1

I am new to Dreamweaver CS6 or any Dreamweaver and I am trying to create a new CSS Rule for Version 13.1. I am taking a class and the material is written for ver 12 and not 13. Does Version 13 not have the Classic View as well.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Mark

    It was worth a try.
As Jon points out, a lot has changed in Dreamweaver since CS6 was first released in May 2012. There have been two updates for Creative Cloud subscribers, which made significant changes to the interface. Dreamweaver CC was released in June this year, and has since had one update.
The whole idea of the Creative Cloud is to release new features as they become available, which makes documentation and training courses difficult to follow. I have just finished recording Adobe Dreamweaver CC: Learn by Video, which is due to be published next month. It's based on Dreamweaver 13.1, so it will be up to date for a few months - and then a new version will almost certainly be released, which will make at least part of it out of date.
Rather than learning the mechanics of Dreamweaver, it's important to learn the basics of HTML and CSS. Once you understand them, it will be a lot easier to find your way around the Dreamweaver interface without being constantly confused.
    Good luck.

  • Overview of CSS rules for UI?

I've found several useful tweaks I can apply by editing userCrome.css so I'm wondering if there's any documentation somewhere on all available css rules for customizing the UI.
For example, I've added the "Bookmarks" button to the far right of my "Bookmarks Toolbar", but I don't want the text label that comes with it. I only want the icon but how do I found out the name of the id's/class that affects this button?
    I'm using Firefox 4 on Windows 7.

  • (Request for reporting available) is not coming in Cube

I  added fields in DSO & Cube.
Cube1 has Aggregrates built on it.i added 5 infoobjects on it, Now when i load data from DSO to Cube(Request for reporting available) is not coming up. i cant do reporting on it. can anyone help.
    thanks in advance,
    Kiran.

    Hi ....
Have you done the Roll up ?
Since aggregates are there on that cube....until and unless you do the roll up that request will not be available for Reporting...
    Regards,
    Debjani....

  • Request for reporting  available icon is missing !

    Hi,
I have an infocube which has been uploaded by ODS and the data load was successful.
    But--
The request for reporting available Icon is missing in the request.
Prior to this dataload, yes there were falided requests which i had deleted before uplaoding it self.
Why i am not seeing the icon?
    Raj

    Hi Raj,
If you are using BI 7, then in the mange tab of the infocube check in the extream right ....
    otherwise it should appear...
if you are talking abt ODS then you might have missed the step to activate data in ods.
    hope this helps..
    cheer's
    HVR.

  • "Request for Reporting available " is not displayed after loading the data.

    Hi
A DSO feeds the data to a cube and DSO. In dso reporting sysmbol is present. However in the cube "Request for Reporting available " is not present in the manage tab of the cube.
    Please advise on this.
    Regards
    loyee

    Hi,
What is the status in Monitor. If it is ok, go to manage of the infocube,
in that screen on the menu, Environment --> Automatic Request processing. Then you will get three check boxes.
Click the first check box, (Set Quality status to OK). If you aggregates,  choose second box.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Rama Murthy.

  • Longer time for Material Availability check while creation of prd order.

    Hi guys,
I am facing a weird problem while creating production orders thru CO01.
I enter the component and plant and I am also using the forward scheduling option.
for some reason, SAP is taking a long time for material availability check when I hit the release button.
Sometimes its taking more than an hour. Its happening with few specific BOM's, and I have checked the master data but I could hardly find a problem in master data.
Can someone suggest me some tips ??
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sashivardhan

    Hi,
Please check the Availability check control maintained for Components it should be 01 or 02. Also check the issue storage location maintained or not. You can maintain issue storage location in BOM in Status/lng text tab in Production Storage Location.
    Hope this will help.
    Regards,
    Navin

  • Separate CSS files for Differenct Applications in the Same Workspace

I am working in APEX 4.0, using Theme 4 (Topaz), primarily with the region template "Top Bar." The application I am working on has gotten so large that I decided to break it into two applications. So I copied the original application and then deleted the pages that I did not want in the second application. I then modified the authentication for a single login. One of the nice things about the Top Bar template is that you can color the background. I had a blue background in the first application and wanted to use a differenct color in the other. So I created a second CSS file and uploaded it to the Cascading Style Sheets area of the Shared Components file for the second application. Turns out that both it and the style sheet for the first application now show up in the CSS file area. The CSS file for the second application has no effect. Here is the CSS code:
    .rc-content-main
          background-color: #E5E5AA;
}I also tried giving the region on each page in the second application a static id and then identifying them in the CSS file by the id. That didn't work either, at least not yet. Sometimes it takes the server a while to refresh.
Question: For two applications in the same workspace, can there be separate CSS files? If so, how do I set them up so that each responds only to one of the applications?

    Hello,
If you upload your file to Shared Components >> Cascading Style Sheetst then:
edit your page template in the header section and just before +*</head>*+ tag  add :
<link rel="stylesheet" src="#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#MY_FILE.css" type="text/css" />And that will be applied for all pages that have the same Page Template.
You can edit a page and put this in the header section to be applied only for a that page:
    <style>
    <link rel="stylesheet" src="#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#MY_FILE.css" type="text/css" />
<style>If the file is on your web server then replace #WORKSPACE_IMAGES# with #IMAGE_PREFIX#
This should be helpful to you:

  • Creating from scratch, a css layout for my website

I am building a website from scratch and I would like to use CSS.  I am conceptualizing the design, however, I am struggling with designing it and working with the div tags.  I would like to have two sidebars, one on each side, and for them to be tri-colored, which means I have to create three small boxes and align them closely together, each a different color (the colors are part of the theme to my website). Of course the links on the sidebars would be white, and then change colors when hovered over or clicked on.  I would like to have a header and a footer, with the header containing my logo and if and only if I can get real fancy; a scrolling message.  My footer would contain additional links such as 'additional links', and 'contact us' and all the necessary copywrite info.  Please let me know, if first, my conception of this layout makes sense, and if so, what tutorial you could recommend for me to view that would assist in my web site development.
Thank you, all you great tech minds out there!

I'm with Murray.  I don't think you should concern yourself with HTML5 and CSS3 yet.
Stick with XHTML and CSS2.  When I was learning to work with CSS positioning, it was immensely helpful to use a pre-built layout.   And I learned a great deal from looking at source code.
Look at the DW Starter pages described below:
         Dreamweaver CSS Templates for beginners
         http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/dreamweaver_custom_templates.html
         New DW Starter Pages --
         http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/introducing_new_css_layouts.html
If you have some money to spend, Project Seven has some excellent CSS Templates.  If you plan to do more projects, CSS Layout Magic is a nice extension for prototyping inside DW.

  • Is there a limit to the number of selectors you can have in a CSS file for Mozilla Firefox to work?

I am writing the CSS code for my website and the CSS is being interpreted correctly by Chrome but is not even being read by Mozilla Firefox. When I use firebug, I can see that the classes appear in the HTML code but are not interpreted in the CSS.
The code for this page was recently added, which puts it on the bottom part of my CSS file. The CSS file has over 2.000 lines. Is it possible that Mozilla Firefox is limiting the number of lines it reads? If so, should I split the code in two or three CSS files (what is the limit per file)?
    Thank you!

I don't think it's an issue of file length, however, as a test you could revert to your previously working file and place all the new CSS in a new file, and see whether that makes any difference.
If you clear the error console and reload the page, do you get any unexpected style warnings? By unexpected, I mean things other than, for example, -webkit-transform is not recognized and is being dropped. Illogical messages can indicate an unnoticed typo.

  • Galleries of sample CSS sheet for RoboHelp?

    Hi all,
Anybody know of any sites with galleries of sample CSS sheet
    for RoboHelp 7 HTML?

Try googling but most of us create our own style sheets using
the in-built ones or from scratch. They are so specific to a sites'
needs that I doubt you'd find anything too useful.
