Hi Kim,
It could be any number of things. Text contrast or frame
rate, for example.
Those are configurable so that people can set things up
optimized for their
best or worst case browser scenarios.

  • P7 Horizontal Scroller

    Hello,
I want to use 'P7's horizontal scroller magic' on each page of a 20 page site to produce a 'ticker tape' effect.
The client need to update this with 'Contribute'.  Will he have to update every page it features in their site.  Or can I insert it as a library item that only needs updating once on the home page?  Will this then be reflected in every page it is featured on?
    Thanks

I suggest you post this question at the PVII Webdev forum. Their support is excellent and is specific to their products.
    http://www.projectseven.com/support/index.htm
I'm not sure if it's possible to update HSM with Contribute. Al Sparber will be able to confirm for sure.
    >>>Or can I insert it as a library item that only needs updating once on the home page?  Will this then be reflected in every page it is featured on?
That's not how Library Items work.
When a Library item is edited locally in DW, DW locally updates the code on every page where the Library item appears but then you have to re-upload every affected page. If the LIbrary item appears on 20 pages, you have to re-upload all 20 pages.
Server side includes are the way to do what you have in mind.

  • Disabling Horizontal Scroll in Mountain Lion (Magic Mouse)?

So I've tried pretty much everything and can't seem to this.
The following things used to work under Lion and before, it seems but having tried all of them, I'm at a loss for what to do. I like the magic mouse, but
when doing any development like coding or doing something in illustrator or Photoshop. The horizontal scroll makes my content jump all over the place.
Very frustrated hope someone can help. Here are all the things I've tried.
    Open a terminal shell:
defaults write com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouch.mouse MouseHorizontalScroll -bool NO
    This no longer does anything.
I tried installing MagicPrefs to try and 'overwrite' the scroll functionality for horizontal movement... it doesn't work
I tried installing BetterTouchTool (BTT) to also overwrite the scroll functionality for horizontal movement... again it doesn't work.
    What does work:
It seems I can go into System Preferences > Accessibility > Mouse & Trackpad > Mouse Options >  uncheck scrolling.
But this gets rid of all scrolling even vertical.
Now if MagicPrefs or BTT had a vertical scroll action you could bind to up/down swipes this would be fine, but they don't.
So, at a loss for what to do.

If you have windows 7 this might work for you. Found from another forum post here.

Re: how to disable horizontal scrolling with magic mouse in win7?
    Mar 19, 2013 8:30 AM (in response to lexa_xxx)
I use MagicMouse on iMac with Windows 7 running (installed through BootCamp). Got sick of annoying horizontal scrolling. The solution described above has helped me to disable it. Here is what I've done in steps:
    1) go to http://www.autohotkey.com/ and download an app (a script editor).
    2) Install and run the program - please note that it will not open as it runs in the background
    3) Rightclick on the desktop -> choose "New" -> "AutoHotkey Script" (a new script file will be created on the desktop) -> name it as you wish (e.g. "Mouse_HScroll")
    4) Rightclick on the file you've just created and choose "Edit Script" from the menu.
    5) Add these three lines below existing text in the file:
    WheelLeft::return
    WheelRight::return
    #MaxHotkeysPerInterval 5000
    6) Save file
    7) Run "Convert .ahk to .exe" program from the package installed earlier and browse the file you've just created, hit ">Convert<" -> .exe file should be created. Run this file -> the scrolling should be disabled now.
    7) You may wish to move this file to Start/"Autorun" folder, so it would be launched automatically each time you reboot your Mac/PC.
    Hope this helps! Good Luck

  • Horizontal Scroll does not work with Apple Magic Mouse

Horizontal Scroll does not work with Apple Magic Mouse as it does with other Adobe software such as Photoshop.

The system preferences window for the mouse has changed. The GUI elements are different.

  • How do I turn off horizontal scrolling for Magic Mouse?

I tried a few of adjustments under preferences but nothing seems to work.

I have tried this three times... copying and pasting into Terminal, hitting "Return" and then restarting.. with no luck?
Horizontal scrolling is horrible while using In Design.
I have a new Retia iMac... could this be why Terminal isn't defeating the horizontal scrolling?
I'm ready (very ready) to go back to my Microsoft Mouse with much less touchy horizontal scrolling.
    Thanks!

  • Horizontal Scroll Bar Disappeared in Web Report(BW 7)

    Hi All,
We have just upgraded one of our Developement BW system from 3.5 to Netweaver 2004s, with support pack 7.
After running our query in Web, we have found that all our reports has no horizontal scroll bar to display the query column. This  in turn pushes the corresponding Chart to theleft extreme of the viewing area.
I have tried to reset the web item properities of the table , but no help.                                                 I have compared the web item properities for the  table in the system where upgrade has not been applied yet. It is same.Scoll bar does appear in BW system where there is no upgrade.
I have searched the OSS for answer, but did not find any answer.
Did anybody face this issue after upgrade to BIW 7 ?
Our WAD is ver. 3.5 Final release.

  • Horizontal scroll not working  in aperture split view

I had recently upgraded to mountain lion and the newest aperture, but I noticed a problem with horizontal scrolling in aperture split view.  I am currently using a magic mouse, and it scrolls just fine within other applications except in aperture split view.  (it doesn't go to the next picture when I gesture  left and right)  if I do it many times, it will change to the next picture but then stops scrolling again.  I had tried to use a trackpad and it is better but I have to do it slowly and occationally it just doesn't work.  It only happens only in Aperture and not in safari or other applications.  Does anyone know the solution to this problem?  Any little help is greatly apprecitated

The recent Aperture update disabled the "Scroll to navigate photos in the Viewer" option.
You may need to reenable it in the Aperture general preferences.
    Regards
    Léonie

  • Horizontal scroll works in Adobe Viewer etc, doesn't work in Firefox!

I'm using the latest version of Firefox and I have updated my relevent drivers. I am running Vista Home Premium on a Sony Vaio laptop. The touchpad is an Alps Pointing Device.
This problem has been bothering me for YEARS, and every now and again I get inspired to try and fix it. But still no luck! I'm sad that Firefox have not 'fixed' this issue when they released new versions of the software.
I've tried changing the settings in about:config (as suggested in other discussion threads about this issue) and nothing works. Tried different drivers, no luck. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Interestingly, the area of my touchpad that is set to horizontal scrolling acts "dead" in Firefox. Finger movements on it do nothing... the cursor doesn't move at all.

Hopefully an update fixes this. I have had this problem for a long time, tried many different fixes, no luck. Horizontal scrolling works in IE9 however.

  • JTree behavior: very slow (horizontal) scrolling left/right

    Hello folks,
I have an app that was very sluggish: primary a
JTree in a JScrollPane in a JFrame (with a toolbar
    menu bar etc).
Each node of the JTree has a user object "behind" it
and I was able to implement HUGE performance increases
by changing the toString() method to cache their
representation when possible (99% of the time).
Now 10,000 nodes scroll "snappily" up and down. Cool!
Even with different icons drawn by the TreeCellRenderer.
(also cached in a hash table).
But now left/right (horizontal) scrolling is sluggish as
    heck.
    Ideas, kind friends?
    Be well !
    Eric

Replying to my own post ...
Discovered this behavior was introduced in
    JDK 1.3.1_01 ... the previous releases, 1.3.1 beta1,
1.3.1 beta2, as well as the earlier 1.3.0.x, work fine.
