  • SAP GUI for Java 7.00 rev 4 - bug in ABAP download

When I try to download ABAP source code or when I use "Edit Locally" in SE38 (the easiest way how to write/edit programs with a comfortable editor), ABAP source is downloaded to my computer with trailing 0x00 bytes. It has small side-effect in Local Editing: new code with this block is uploaded into SAP and syntax check of such program fails.
Using 7.00 rev 3 works fine.
Has anybody idea how to eliminate this bug?
Wishlist, but to another forum: It will be really nice to assign hot-key to this menu item in SE38.
    Thank you,
      Pavel

    Hello Pavel,
thanks for bringing this to our attention.
This is a bug in SAP GUI for Java 7.00 rev 4 and we will fix this in the next revision.
Regarding the hot-key for the "Edit Locally" menu item, I suggest to give this feedback officially using <a href="http://service.sap.com/message">message wizard</a> on component BC-DWB-TOO.

  • Download problems SAP GUI for Java 7.20 rev 3

    Hi all,
i want to download the SAP GUI for Java 7.20 rev 3.
    Greetings
    Meinolf Gerling

    Hello Meinolf,
no problem posting in German language, but I reply in English hoping that more people can benefit from this thread.
When the attempt to start the download results in an http error "403 Forbidden", please refer to the notes <a target=
            "_blank" href=
            "https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1069565">1069565</a> and <a target="_blank" href=

I admit that downloading by anonymous ftp was more convenient, but we were no longer allowed to use this channel, because it bypasses the export regulations implemented in Service Marketplace. I am sorry for this.

    Dear Rolf-Martin,
I have problem w/ sapgui java  that puzzled me all along ...
I've downloaded SAPGUI Java 700r2.1 .. then successfully installed in my PPC ibook G4 ... up and running well ...
one day my colleague with a new MacBook (Intel Core Duo 2GHz) want to have SAPGUI ...
i installed it, run the apps, it works well to the point of SAPLOGON window ...
But it cannot connect to any server defined ...
When I create a new connection, it correctly connected to server and group list can be chosen, but still when I click it to connect nothing happened as if the program not running.
Java -version is 1.5.0_07 .. software update checked, no issue with Java or else ...
I've also try to change the JDK to 1.4.2 to no avail.
I'm stuck. system already re-installed. install sapgui from fresh but problem still persist.
No clue from Googling ... no clue from sapnotes ...
Would you please point me to something so I can dig in ?
    Regards,

  • Copy values in ALV reports (cmd+Y/ctrl+Y) in SAPGUI for Java 7.00 rev.4?

    Hi all,
I'm using SAPGUI for Java 7.00 rev.4 in Mac OSX.
I use intensively ALV GRID reports. I do frequently need to copy multiple cells values from one column.
In Windows GUI I do ctrl+Y, than select the area containing the cells and the values are copied in the clipboard.
In Java GUI (OSX) but I cannot do cmd+Y on more cells of the same column!!!!!
Any suggestion? Am I doing something wrong? Is it a known issue?
    Many thanks,
    Lorenzo

    Hello Lorenzo,
you might have seen the release notes of SAP GUI for Java 7.10 rev 5 regarding the grid control.
It has seen major changes (and improvements) in its core which have been a lot of work.
The developer is now getting closer to the point where it is reasonable to implement add-on functionality like copying the content of multiple cells.
It is planned for SAP GUI for Java 7.20, but it is not clear yet if it will be available also as part of a 7.10 revision.
    Best regards

  • SAPGUI for JAVA 7.00 rev 5 - ALV grid problem

    Hello all,
I've created simple program using editable ALV grid to edit custom database table in the dictionary.
After upgrading to rev 5 I can't delete any row from the grid. After clicking the minus sign on the grid toolbar nothing happens. In the release note for the rev. 5 is written that protected rows can be no longer deleted. But I haven't written any code to protect any row in the grid.
When run on SAPGUI 7.00 rev 4 or SAPGUI for windows 7.10 it works.
    Thanks for any help.

    Hello Petr,
both in "BCALV_GRID_EDIT" and in "BCALV_GRID_VERIFY" which we use as testreports for editable ALV grid, I can select a line and delete it using the the "delete line" icon in the grid's toolbar running SAP GUI for Java 7.00 rev 5.
Can you somehow reproduce the issue with the mentioned reports (playing with the options)?
Otherwise we would need access to your custom program. Then it would be helpful if you could <a href="http://service.sap.com/message">create a message</a> on component BC-FES-JAV and make your system available to us.

  • SAPGUI Java 7.20 Rev 1 for Mac - unable to create new connections

    Greetings,
I am on Snow Leopard, I just installed SAPGUI 7.20 Rev 1. When I try to create a new connection, the "System" tab has a Red X and I am unable to type anything into it.
Also, when I change the Description, the "Save" and "Save As" buttons are still greyed out and I am unable to click them.
I tried going through the documentation and made sure that I have Apple's latest Java updates etc.
Obviously I am doing something wrong somewhere. If someone will point me in the right direction I would be much obliged.
    Thank you and cheers
    Mohan

    Hello,
it might have been preferable to create a new thread for this.
smartforms use ActiveXes, which are not there in SAP GUI for Java (see also transaction classification). The content of the message shown by the transaction is questionable however. What it wants to say is that this functionality is only available with SAP GUI for Windows.
