ANN: SAP GUI for Java 7.10 available for download

Hi all,
SAP GUI for Java 7.10 is now available at http://service.sap.com/sapgui-java.
In case you are not registered on service.sap.com, you can alternatively download it from ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sapgui/java/710.
New platforms:
- JSE 6: See System Requirements of platforms for details. Also, usage of JRE 1.4.2 is no longer supported.
- Microsoft Windows Vista (Business and Ultimate editions)
- Mac OS X 10.5 (once the test on the final build of "Leopard" has been successfully completed, see <a href="https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/959236">Note 959236</a> for latest news)
- HP-UX 11.31
New features:
- Input History: Text previously entered in an entry field is available in a dropdown listbox when the same entry field is reaccessed.
- The installer now can be launched directly from a write-protected directory and the installation process completes considerably faster.
- The Preference Dialog has been redesigned.
- Dynpro Splitter: The feature to display two subscreens divided by a horizontal or vertical splitter has been implemented.
<a href="https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/959236">Note 959236</a> lists the supported platforms and will include latest news on support for Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard).

Dear Rolf-Martin,
I have problem w/ sapgui java that puzzled me all along ...
I've downloaded SAPGUI Java 700r2.1 .. then successfully installed in my PPC ibook G4 ... up and running well ...
one day my colleague with a new MacBook (Intel Core Duo 2GHz) want to have SAPGUI ...
i installed it, run the apps, it works well to the point of SAPLOGON window ...
But it cannot connect to any server defined ...
When I create a new connection, it correctly connected to server and group list can be chosen, but still when I click it to connect nothing happened as if the program not running.
Java -version is 1.5.0_07 .. software update checked, no issue with Java or else ...
I've also try to change the JDK to 1.4.2 to no avail.
I'm stuck. system already re-installed. install sapgui from fresh but problem still persist.
No clue from Googling ... no clue from sapnotes ...
Would you please point me to something so I can dig in ?

SAP GUI and Java reqs

I am putting together some documentation for the Java requirements for SAP applications on RHEL5 for customers.
Can someone sanity check this for me please?
The SAP GUI requires at least Java 1.5 to run, so a customer should install the Java 1.6.0_16 version from Sun.
1.Download the Sun JRE from http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp.
2.Install the Sun JRE.
3.Set the PATH variable so that the Sun JRE is the default version of Java. You can verify this with the java u2013version command.
4.Install PlatinGUILNX_9.JAR from SAP to install the SAP GUI.
The SAP engine on the other hand requires version 1.42 JDK. Moreover, the only JDK supported for 64-bit Linux is the IBM version.
1. RHEL 5.4 and newer ships with the right IBM JDK so install the IBM JDK. By default, it will install in /opt, so we show the path for the IBM JDK as /opt/IBMJava2‑amd64‑142 in our instructions.
2.SAP NetWeaver 7.0 requires strong encryption. You need to obtain and install the Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files for the IBM JDK you are using beforehand starting the installation. Register to download the JCE files at https://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/iwm/web/preLogin.do?source=jcesdk and download the ZIP file from https://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/iwm/web/reg/pick.do?source=jcesdk&lang=en_US.
2.The file you download is named unrestricted.zip. Copy the file named unrestricted.zip to /opt/IBMJava2‑amd64‑142/jre/lib/security directory.
Do not unzip the file. Instead, copy the archive.

That's a good documentation, but what do you mean with
4.Install PlatinGUILNX_9.JAR from SAP to install the SAP GUI.
You should post where to download that file, some days ago I downloaded a new version of SAPGui for Java ( 720 ), I don't know what version of SAPGui for Java is PlatinGUILNX_9 or where can I download that version, I downloaded my SAPGui for Java from:
ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sapgui/java/
You can see different versions and releases... 720.

'invalid class-java beans not available for import

Hi Experts,
i am using java bean model in my Web Dynpro Application.
for that one i have created command bean(Customer) and in my command bean i am using some other class(CustomerInfo) as reference. this CustomerInfo class contains 4 attribtes(name ,id ,etc all are of type String)
when i try to import these 2 class into web dynpro (using java bean model),for the Customer class it
is giving an error message 'invalid class-java beans not
available for import'.but 2nd class(CustomerInfo) is imported successfully with out giving the error.what might be reason.
any help will be appriciated

Please try to repeat JavaBean model import when running IDE in console mode (correspondign short-cut should be available in Windows Start menu, otherwise just copy original short-cut, edit it and change in command string "javaw" to java).
Post here what is shown on console during import.

Upgrade for Pages says not available for this Apple ID

I just bought new MacMini. Now upgrade for Pages says not available for this Apple ID, etc. Why? I did not buy the Mini from Apple store, but so what?

Please test after each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved. Back up all data before making any changes. Keep in mind that no one here represents Apple or can help with customer-service issues.
Step 1
A purchased app can only be updated by signing in to the App Store with the same Apple ID that was originally used to buy it. There's no way around that limitation, which also applies to free apps. If you can't sign in with the buyer's ID, delete the app and reinstall it. You'll have to pay for it again, if applicable.
Step 2
If you get the alert when trying to update a bundled iLife app, select the Purchases page in the App Store and locate the app in your purchase history. If there's a button marked ACCEPT on the right, click it.
If you have a used Mac, the bundled apps were linked to the original owner's Apple ID and can't be transferred to you. Reportedly, customer service has issued redemption codes to some second owners who asked, but it's not guaranteed.
Step 3
If you're trying to update iLife or iWork apps that were installed from a purchased DVD, or if you have a refurbished Mac bought directly from Apple, contact App Store customer service for a redemption code. You may be asked for the part number of the DVD.
Step 4
From the App Store menu bar, select
Store ▹ View My Account
Enter your Apple ID password at the prompt. At the lower right corner of the window that opens, click the Reset button. Close the window.

Great news for Asha 302 and 303 users! Mail for Exchange is now available for download in Nokia Store free of charge. From today, the app will be available for most English speaking countries but we expect to make it available for more markets during coming weeks. Unfortunately no.
I the past I managed to install the app on several Asha 302 with no problem,
I used Nokia suite 3.8.48 connected with a Asha 302 phone.
Now, when I searched for Mail for Exchange app the Nokia suite didn't show me the app.
I think that now i am in the wrong country :-)
( maybe that regional exceptions apply)
Finaly I finded a solution : I made a backup from another Asha 302 with app installed on it in the past and I made a restore only with phone settings and applications.

Set JDK_HOME to the directory where you install your JDK (Java Development Kit).
So instance, I've install JDK1.1.8 on my
C drive so
set JDK_HOME=c:\jdk1.1.8;c:\jdk1.1.8\bin

This revision solves issues in the dropdown listbox, grid and table control. Also an issue with FileDownload is fixed. For more information, please refer to the release notes.

can u plz help me in creating a new connection .....
the rev4.jar file was successfully installed.....
and whats are the next steps .....
