Open new session on submitting a program thru FM call

Hi expertz...need your help up here.
Have a situation where we need to trigger another program(say zabc : PO History) when the user selects a line in the ALV list and then clicks a button (to call zabc), the new program should run in the background and open up or display the results in a New Session.
Have tried to use FM 'SUBMIT_REPORT' with STARTING NEW TASK but it dosnt work. Please see the call below.

New session rejected due to memory bottleneck in testing proxy2proxy

Hi all!
i am testing abap proxy2proxy on the client 105 in help varient 5 of simple use cases docu.
even though i got sending successful from SXIPATT1 on the client 105, i got the following error.
my server has RAM 2GB and have four client(100,105,106,107), and only i use for testing, NOT another person, so i do not think memory bottleneck issue.
checked list.
1. SXMB_MONI, i could see inbound message(SENDER) only.
 from 105 to XI, no problem I thought, but very strange there, becasue there is only inbound message(sender).
2. status flag on sxmb_moni

do i have to up physical memory?

Is there a way to force a new session so my "on new session" code will run?

I'm using apex.oracle.com and I find values of application (global) and page items persisting across logins.
I didn't expect that? I thought they would go away when I logged out of APEX. But I can change the values, logout, and log back in to the same values. And when I login and start an application, it's not running my "shared components > application processes" initialization code which is set "on new session".
I thought each login would be a distinct new session with it's distinct set of items. (see definition below)
So when I run an application, is there a way to force a new session so my "on new session" code will run?

What Is a Session?
A session is a logical construct that establishes persistence (or stateful behavior) across page views. Each session is assigned a unique identifier. The Application Express engine uses this identifier (or session ID) to store and retrieve an application's working set of data (or session state) before and after each page view.
Because sessions are entirely independent of one another, any number of sessions can exist in the database at the same time. Also, because sessions persist in the database until purged by an administrator, a user can return to an old session and continue running an application long after first launching it. A user can also run multiple instances of an application simultaneously in different browser sessions.
Sessions are logically and physically distinct from Oracle database sessions used to service page requests. A user runs an application in a single Oracle Application Express session from log in to log out with a typical duration measured in minutes or hours. Each page requested during that session results in the Application Express engine creating or reusing an Oracle database session to access database resources. Often these database sessions last just a fraction of a second.

I cleaned up the copy of the Select List code in APEX 4.1.xxx which was not operating correctly before. Now it matches what I have in APEX 4.2.yyyy. And, drum roll please, the select list seemingly works fine there (4.1) as well. But now, the initialization code--which was working fine(!)--FAILS in 4.1!

Okay. Maybe this will help. 1) I logged in. Ran the login page but did not login. Opened the "session" window and wrote down the session ID. Logged out and back in. 2) Ran the login page but did not login. Opened the "session" window and .... it has the same session ID? 3) So the session is persisting across logins!! How is that possible?
(More) When I log into 3 different applications, I get a different session ID for each but repeated logins always give the same session ID for any given session.

Asynchronous SUBMIT or CALL WITH creation of NEW SESSION

I'm doing monotonous comparisons between systems, but I do need to see the SAP standard comparison for each. So I have an ALV list that I'd like to double click a line entry that will spawn 3 NEW SESSIONS and I'll automatically populate the parameters.
So, has anyone been able to SUBMIT or CALL WITH THE KEY BEING THAT IT MUST CREATE 3 NEW ASYNCHRONOUS SESSIONS. I'd be grateful if you'd share your experience in this regard. Thank you, Adrian

You can try in this way.
Create a new FM and place your code there. Call this FM using addition STARTING NEW TASK. It should work fine.

Whilst using FF20.0.1 and now with FF21 the new tab thumbnails fail to open for each new session. Why?

For a long time my chosen websites appeared as thumbnail images on the new tab page when I began a new session, maybe since about FF15, I don't recall for sure. Recently, however, whilst using FF20.0.1 this behaviour stopped and none of the thumbnail images for my selected websites opened up, although the links to them remained and this behaviour has continued to FF21, which I have been using since yesterday (19th May). This is not a serious issue, but I do like things to work properly and to understand why they don't. I don't know why there should be a relationship between the two events, but the problem began after having opened the new tab page and before the images opened up I clicked on one of the links - where the thumbnail image would normally be - to go to the website; thereafter FF failed to retain a memory of the thumbnail images from one session to the next. By the way, I never empty my history cache only my main web cache that has previously had no effect on my new tab thumbnails, not since about FF15 or so anyway.

When I opened FF about ten minutes ago I noticed that the new tab thumbnail image I had brought up from my previous session had been remembered, so I opened some of the other websites listed to bring back their images too; I then shut FF down, re-opened it and the new tab page to find all the images had been recalled. Next, I shut down the computer to determine whether or not the images were getting lost that way; on rebooting the computer and launching FF I again found the images were still there. Now I closed the new tab and emptied the main cache (43 MB); on opening the new tab the images were still opening (you will recall that when the new tab thumbnails first came out they disappeared on emptying the main cache). Bearing all this in mind I have not yet tried your suggestion of temporarily disabling the add-ons in safe mode because if the thumbnail images came up that would not currently tell me anything. Also, the problem I described in my first post does not remotely coincide with the installation of any add-ons, which have not been recent. Given then that my thumbnails are appearing after the cache has been cleared where does FF get them from now? I still don't understand this recent behaviour and why for the moment the problem is not occurring. Thanks again.

How to trim a range of clips in a session to a new session?

It seems that I've done this before but I can't, for the life of me, remember how, and I don't know what keywords to use to find it in the forums, so I'll just ask. I'm using 3.0 now but have used 1.5 and 2.0 in the past. I've recorded a band to an 8-track session that's nearly 2 hours long, consisting of many different songs. I want to select some of the tracks in the range of a single song and create a new session, in a new directory, containing only those sections of the tracks in it. Everything I do ends up saving the complete 2-hour long tracks, taking forever to save and eating up disk space. I could go into detail about all of the things I've tried, but I betting it's a simple answer - if somebody can help. Thanks!

In Tiger it is the same as the comma and dashes thing I listed for some routers.
You can also click the Edit button in that pic I posted and look at which ports are listed (they will be greyed out on the Preset ones)
Windows Sharing should list the SMB ports and the Printing ports.

(Printing sharing may also list the Windows Print Sharing port)

Tmux: show window size in session list; don't resize when attaching

Hi there!
I have two questions related to the same problem in tmux. The problem is that when you attach (by accident) to a session which has been opened on a larger screen, it is resized. This changes the sizes of the panels on the original, large screen, as well as the relative sizes of vim panels, which is really annying. This could be prevented, for instance, if I knew the size of the session in advance, so I could avoid attaching to it. I see multiple potential solutions/workaround for this, though, hence the multiple questions (but google hasn't been kind enough to help me).
In the first scenario, I want to change to another session using the session list (<Ctrl-b><s>), but haven't assigned any meaningful names to the sessions, so I have no idea which session is the one opened on the larger screen.
[1] Is there a way to display the current screen size of each session in the session list?
In the second scenario, I attach to a tmux server without attaching to a specific session (because I haven't assigned any names, or don't recall them). If the session I'm attached to by default is opened on a larger screen, I run into the resizing problem.
[2] Is there a way to attach to a session which has the current screen's dimension (if there is one)? Maybe the session can automatically be sorted by screen size, so that by default I'm attached to the smaller screen.
[3] Another possible solution: Is there a way for tmux to warn me whenever I'm about to resize a session, be it by changing the session (scenario 1) or by attaching (scenario 2) (which, I assume, is in the end equivalent to tmux anyway), and allow me to abort my attempt?
Any suggestions are appreciated!

Hi David, Thanks for helping me. the video was shot on the new sony hdr-hc1e (pal).the clip and seqeunce are both set to 1440 x 1080 but based on where i assume you were going i created a new sequence at 1440 x 1080 and loaded one clip to it, it works correctly. i think the issue was that when i created the first sequence it was at a different frame size, i changed it but the athough the changes show in the browser they don't seem to work the same was as a sequence which is correctly specified at the start, do you have any idea how i can make sequence changes and have them take effect on an already created sequence?

Midi Will Not Recognize My iPad For New Session

I have a Mac Mini and it's running OSX. I got a new app for my iPad2 called Ac-7 Core. I can get into the MIDI setup network and I even see my iPad listed up there. However it will not allow to me to create a new session or even connect to my ipad. If I click on my iPad's name it gets highlighted but it won't let me click CONNECT in fact it won't let me actually do anything but click on my iPad name every other button is faded out and I can't type in any of the boxes. Did I just pay for an app I can't use or is there a way to fix this?

This advice might come too late, but, don't exit Firefox! Or if you already did, don't start it back up again!

In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. This should launch a new window listed various files and folders. For best results, change the view to "Details".

In the window that launches, scroll down and double-click into the '''sessionstore-backups''' folder. Save all files here to a safe location, such as your Documents folder, so Firefox doesn't overwrite them. We may be able to use them to recover your lost tabs.
Also, if you return to the main level of the profile folder, you may find some sessionstore files. Copy those to the safe location as well.
Could you report back on what you found?
Note: If Windows hides the .js file extension from you, you can change a setting so that you can see all file extensions (this helps when renaming files). Fail Over - Back up, create a new session

 Two WLS 5.1 SP10 clustering, iPlanet4.1 w/wlproxy plugin, Solaris Box. Everything
 works except the following senario:
 1. Two servers up, user browses the site. ok!
 2. shutdown one server, user continues to browse without losing sessions. ok!
 3. down server back up, new session is created in this server and replicated to
 the other server, in the mean time the old session still there. Every click cause
 the session swithing back and forth. WRONG!
 4. close the brower and restart a new session, back to normal. ok!
 Any idea?


 Only one cookie is created in the whole process. But in step3, when clicking on
 the browser, plugin directs the request to app1, app2 back and forth for each
 click. I can also see the there are two session ids. one's primary is in app1,
 the other's prirmay is in app2.
 The other interesting thing is the wlproxy.log, where one app server is down (166.200.148.10
 is still up, 166.200.148.11 is down), plugin log shows connecting to 166.200.148.10
 fails and finally throught static list connecting to 166.200.148.11 which is down,
 and in fact, 166.200.148.10 got hit, browser has the display.

Adoption of CFID/CFTOKEN from request for new session

Hi
We've noticed that ColdFusion automatically uses CFID/CFTOKEN
from the request, if there's no session available for this token
combination and ColdFusion creates a new session. Is there a way to
tell ColdFusion that it shouldn't use the values from the request
but generate a pair of its own?

10.12 is the latest and greatest SW version for the device (from mid-2010).
I'm sad to say, but this device model has been out of production already for a long while and no new SW releases can be expected. Also some of the things you listed are such, which would not even be fixable by new SW version, but would require other changes.

Both of the above cited options help ONLY if "sites to be restored" ''are listed''.
They used to be(when I first switched to Firefox); now they are not(even with the "Oops! This is embarassing..." message from FF where the "Restore Session" option is shown but with nothing IN it, y'see?).
I've been going through the FAQs &c in the Mozilla Support sites/linx. Lots of interesting things but not quite that for which I search.

I need to create two new address list in Exchange Online 2013 (Office 365) that users will choose the two parameters.
Address sheet1: No staff
Address Sheet2: Staff
Parameters address sheet not staff:
Parameter 1: Company
It must match the value - MyCompany
Parameter 2: job title
it must be different from the value - Staff
Parameters address sheet Staff:
Parameter 1: Company
It must match the value - MyCompany
Parameter 2: job title
It must match the value - Staff
Problems:
1) Is it possible to filter user mailboxes on the parameter of discrepancy?
2) Can not find the parameter values for the script field job title
