  • Could I put Flex help content in my own Flex training

Hi, everybody. I am going to be an instructor for Flex
training in December. I have to created my own training document
and presentation. but I have seen Flex Help file also provide a
perfect content for some part of my training. So Could I put some
part of those contents to my training document?
I own my Flex license already.

  • LSO  - Recording Attendance in IT 2002 for Class Room Training.

    Dear Expert,
We had implemented LSO some time ago.
Once class room training is booked, Attendace is not recording in IT 2002.
Please let us know what are settings, we need to do to record the attendance in IT 2002 once the course is booked from back end or through portal by the user.
    Regards
    Badarinarayana

Thx a lot Noobie for the info.
Its getting updated in IT2002 now.
However, what ever timings got maintained in schedule are getting reflected in IT 2002
Suppose, course is schedule for 6 hours with lunch break. Schedule is maintainted accordingly with lunch break.
In IT2002, the timings are getting reflected exactly whatever we mentioned against schedule in course -- schedule.
Ours is positive time management, Hence, it attracts salary deduction if any deviation in IT 2002.
Though schedule is maintainted, how to maintain default timings of 8.5 hours for booked course against employee for that day without refering scheduled timings.
Please suggest me how to go about in this case.
    regards

  • Dreamweaver for a World Class Site

I am trying to determine the best way to build a world class global internet site on the complexity of YouTube/Amazon.
Can this or should this be done in Dreamweaver, and if yes, what DW plug-ins would be considered.
The site will be delivering content around the world and will be primarily video content.  There will be a lot of interaction between users and a lot of data storage/retrieval.
Users will be able to build their profiles and based off of their selections, content will be delivered to them.
I could write a book on all the capabilities but wanted to know if DW is a good start.
    Thanks,

I am trying to determine the best way to build a world class global Internet site on the complexity of YouTube/Amazon.
All I can say is go see The Social Network!
Can you use Dreamweaver for this?  Sure.  In the same way that you could build a rocket in your basement -- assuming you have the required skills to do so.
what DW plug-ins would be considered?
For a site this caliber, you won't find any off-the-shelf products that can do all the heavy lifting for you.  This is going to take a great deal of time, money and a team of knowledgeable experts to design, develop & maintain.
    Good luck,

You're using Flash CS5 so you're only going to be able to compile for iOS. CS5.5 outputs AIR for iOS and AIR for Android as well as Blackberry Tablet (FB).
Make sure you've overlayed the latest AIR 3.1 SDK on your version of flash and your CS5 is up to date.
Going the AIR route or using Flash Builder (or elipse fdt for free) will be a better albit more complex route but will yeild far better results. The only thing CS5 is really good for is it does not use AIR therefore apps can be built for 3g devices. However most of the things you care about are in AIR (GPU accel video, etc) and you'd be doing yourself a favor to update to Flash Builder.
You can still use Flash CS5 to craft your assets in the library. Then you simply export a SWC of them and reimport into Flash Builder and code it from there.
FWIW I never had your issue in Flash CS5 when I just started dabbling with iOS apps.

  • Flex Training from the source

Hi everyone, I have the Flex 2 Training from the source book
and I have misplaced the CD that it came with. I was wondering if
somebody out there would not mind to send me a copy of the files? I
know I messed up by loosing it but I just cant find it and Im stuck
on a lesson and need the source code. Please help...... thanks in
    advanced.
    CR

I've progressed to Lesson 13 where the reported problem is
also happening. As i didn't keep the files for Lesson 9 this will
have to do. There are 5 files that show up as different in the SCR
folder in my code vs the COMPLETE folder of Lesson 13. All of the
differences seem to be cosmetic &/or style in nature so I have
no Idea what is going on. Note: the comment lines are just added in
this message so you can tell one file from another.

  • Some basic questions: Help defining Real World Classes

I am trying to write a small applet using proper OO concempts and Java technique and I'm confused on the proper way to do this. I think I know several ways that work and have all the peices I need such as JMail and JDBC drivers, but would appreciate help on understanding how to properly structure my classes and objects.
The application will simply do the following: I have a database table that receives a new entry when a truck is late for its delivery. When this new record is created, I need to send an email to the driver manager who will then decide (via a jsp page) whether the customer should receive an email about the late delivery. For each truck, there will only be one driver manager and one client to be notified.
What I'm confused about is what classes and objects to create (and why). My first thought is to create a LateTruck class, a DriverManager class and a Customer class and have the LateTruck class call up the DriverManager to send an email then have the JSP page reinstantiate the LateTruck and instantiate the Customer class to send the email to the client.
If I do it this way, is there a proper way to send the email? Do I send the email as a method in LateTruck which gets the email address from DriverManager such as
    LateTruck.Order1234.SendEmail(DriverManager.JoeBlow.Email)
or do I use LateTruck to write the email message which I then pass to DriverManager such as
    DriverManager.JoeBlow.SendEmail(message)
Should I even break up the applet into three classes and objects? Since each LateTruck only needs one DriverManager and one Client, is the proper way to do this to create only one class called LateTruck which has DriverManager, DriverManagerEmail, ClientName and ClientEmail all as properties of LateTruck?
Thanks for any help in understanding the basics here.
