ANN: XML Parser v1.0.1 - Available

The production release of the Oracle XML Parser for Java
is available for download at http://technet.oracle.com/tech/xml.
It has the following fixes and changes since 1.0.0.3:
Changes:
NodeFactory class has been made public. Applications can extend
this class to create custom-made nodes in the DOM tree.
In addition, a method to obtain the version string has been
added.
Bug fixes:
#808645, XML parser should support user-supplied element
factories, resulting in the exposure of a number of classes and
methods; adding a method getAttDefs() to get the default values
of a Attribute, adding a method setDoctype()that loads the DTD
used to validate while parsing.
New APIs in the following Classes:
1. oracle.xml.parser.XMLParser
aaaaaaa -setNodeFactory(Register a user defined NodeFactory)

Hi guys,
I am taking messages off an MQ Series Queue and using
DBMS_XMLSave.insertXML(this function does an implicit commit) to
insert into a table.
The insert fails with the Error code 02070: Database does not
support commit in this context.
This seems due to the fact that the dequeue has not been
comitted. I am trying to do this to avoid losing any message if
the is an error or system failure.
It works if dequeue is commited.
Does XDK support 2 Phase commit or is there a patch that allow
this?
Thanks
Abbey

    Hi,
Are you sure I can use the downloaded XML Parser for C v2 on Oracle 7.3 and Oracle 8? Because in the lib directory there are the following libraries:
    libcore8.a, libnls8.a, libxml8.a, libxmlc8.a
I think they are for Oracle 8i instead. I tried to compiled the Oracle XML Parser for C v1.0.0.0.1 before on Oracle 7.3 and it failed because of libraries problem. How can I get the libraries required for Oracle 7.3 and Oracle 8? Please verify.

The XML Parser for Java can be used with any of the supported
version JavaVMs. The only difference with 8i is that you can
load it into the database and use JServer which is an internal
VM. For 8.0.5 you simple run it externally and connect through

  • ANN: Oracle XML Parser for Java v2.0.2

The new version of the Oracle XML Parser for Java v2 is
available for download and has the following features and
    changes:
    1. Conformance to the XSLT/XPATH August WD.
Note that there are several changes between April99 XSLT draft
and the August99 XSLT/Xpath draft and these changes have been
implemented in the XSL Processor. The XSL Processor has been
modified to accept XPath syntax for expressions and patterns.
Stylesheets might have to be modified to be conformant to the
August XSLT/XPath draft before they can be used with this
    release.
Some of the changes between April draft and the August draft
    are:
    a. Expressions in the stylesheet must match the XPath
    production Expr.
    b. Some of the attribute names and element names in XSL
    namespace have changed.
    c. Some new functions have been added to XPath CORE function
    library.
Please refer to the August XSLT/XPath draft for more details.
This is the first production release for v2.
