ANNA BROWSER - cleap private data

Hello
I just upgraded my N8 to ANNA, I like the new browser but I don't know I go to get to the menu that shows "clear private datas" and do clear the datas.
I can change the settings of privacy but I cannot actually clear the datas.
Can you help please?
Solved!
Go to Solution.

It's not at all clear, but have found it with a bit of playing.
On the settings page that you have found, (settings > Privacy) if you saelect the "All" under "Clear Privacy Data" and then select whichever set of data you want to clear it will do so. Selecting "all" brings up a confirmation request, the other options just go ahead and delete.

  • I am gettng the following popup when using firfox as my browser: Exc in ev handl: Error: Bad NPObject as private data!

In the past few days I have been getting the following popup when I use firefox as my browser: Exc in ev handl: Error: Bad NPObject as private data!
I assume it came from your latest update. I have windows vista with a 64 bit processor, and I am using the latest version of firefox. I checked to see if I was getting the same error message with explorer and I am not. It appears to be some sort of conflict with java script. Can this be corrected?

re: recommendation -- "Remove McAfee Site Advisor and other extensions/plugins reported in the following lists of Blocked/Problematic extension: "
NO -- I use it to protect my surfing! Why must FireFox insist on constantly breaking 3-rd party vendor apps!?! Even IE doesn't do this.
For all the ballyhoo about FF and how great it is -- it ISN'T when it comes to how it supports other companies apps. (RealPlayer, Google, McAfee, etc.)
Shame on them. I shouldn't have to give up functionality, and in this case protection -- just to use FF

  • Why, when have more than one tab on Firefox it generates message Exc in ev handl: Error: Bad NPObject as private data! which then opens each site in a new browser

I like to work with about 6 tabs open on Firefox and typically this has been absolutely fine. Starting around November 2011 each time I have multiple tabs open when I open a new gmail message, or open an order or any other action within an open page a message pops up that reads
Exc in ev handl: Error: Bad NPObject as private data!
then that site immediately opens in a new browser window.
I do not have this issue with Google Chrome or Internet Explorer but I would rather use Firefox. I ran McAfee an extra time thinking it might be a virus but that did not help. Any ideas?

That issue can be caused by the McAfee Site Advisor extension

  • Possible to prevent Acrobat 7 saving private data from a form to temp file?

I have a PDF order form with interactive fields that I want to post on my client's website. The form, created in Acrobat 7, is meant to be completed online then printed for faxing or mailing. It includes a field for a VISA number. I notice that once the form is filled in, the information persists even after closing and re-opening the PDF and the browser (in Windows XP, which I use, at least). If a user fills this form out at home, no problem. However, if a user fills it out at a public place such as an internet cafe, this is disastrous because anyone who opens the PDF thereafter will see the previous user's private information.
Since I have no control over where users will be opening and completing this order form, is there any way I can set the PDF form to "purge" the field data when the file is closed, instead of saving it?
Private data and especially credit card fraud is such a sensitive issue that any help would be much appreciated.

You can clear the fields on the document will close event.

  • Exc in ev handl: Error: Bad NPObject as private data! How do I ge rid of this?

Exc in ev handl: Error: Bad NPObject as private data! I get this error when opening and closing tabs. It only happens when using Firefox. I am running 7.0.1 on a 64 bit version of windows. While researching this problem I discovered thousands of people have the problem. This just started recently. No real fixes or causes have been found. One solution listed was to disable McAfee site adviser which I use and have no plans to remove. I really like Firefox but if I must choose between it and Site adviser I'll have to switch to another browser.

(Windows): For best results you should uninstall '''McAfee Site Advisor''' from Control Panel > add/change programs (Programs and Features). Reboot the system. Then Reinstall from http://www.siteadvisor.com/ and reboot the system. When installing refuse other suggested (crapware) applications.

  • I wish there will be a choice to delete private data whenever i choose quit. so i don't have to go into setting just to delete private data. thanks

i wish when i press quit there will be a choice whether i want to delete all the private data.it will be just like the desktop version where i can browse in private and close the browser without leaving any trace.

iamjayakumars this is a Firefox for Android question. You gave a desktop answer. The OP is correct in that there is no way to clear browser history on shutdown at this time on FxA.
Current nightly builds have private browsing tabs. These builds are for testing at this time. They may leak data or fail to clean data from the session. They are available at http://nightly.mozilla.org

  • How do I clear Navigation bar? Under Tools "clear private date" does not bring up a dialog box.

I'm trying to clear the navigation bar. Where I type in the web address "www.somethingsomething.com"... The list under there is too long. Using the Tools pull down menu and selecting "clear private data" does nothing. No box pops up. Under options, I've done everything to clear out the history. Everything remains. Any help? Thanks.

Ok, I put a check in the box "Ask me before clearing private data"... now a box does pop up... Items checked are "browsing history, cache cookies, offline website data and authenticated sessions". Item not checked "saved passwords". Items listed but in light gray and unable to put a check "download history, saved form & search history." I hit the "clear private data now" option, nothing happens, except that box goes away. I click on the little down arrow on the navigation bar, and all the things are still there. I'm beyond dumbfounded why! Help please. Thank you.

  • How do I prevent the dialog box from popping up every time I click Clear Private Data?

In v3.6 (and it looks like in v4.0 too), every time one clicks the Clear Private Data Now (using a toolbar button), a dialog box pops up to confirm that I indeed want to clear data and which data. Why?!!!
Why can this be set like it was in previous versions where a person sets which data they want cleared and be done with it? It's annoying. As such, I've used a v3.0.## since this annoying pop-up began in v3.5 or v3.6 or whenever it was.
And please don't ask, if I have it clear on close, why I want clear it during a browsing session. Just know that I do. And the fact that you have for a long time had the feature to clear during a session shows that you or someone thought it good to have this feature--not just when the browser closes.
I'd like to move to the current version, but this is so annoying. I'd move to Chrome, but for a few reasons, I'd prefer to stay with Firefox. For the love of gawd, can you please fix this?

  • How can I transfer the entire Firefox installation/content (directory, "private data" (cache), settings...) to another harddrive unit?

I want to move all of the Mozilla Firefox browser/program from one Harddrive (for example "C:") to another (for example "D:").
All of it means all of the program files(/directory), all associated data (like in the "\WINDOWS"-directory (application data, registry, "\WINDOWS\SYSTEM")), settings, cache, browsing history, download history, saved form information, "private data" data, add-ons, plugins, cookies, etc..
    Grateful for quick, simple solution.

Try using [http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/ MozBackup], it's a free program that will make backups of various Mozilla programs -- "It allows you to backup and restore bookmarks, mail, contacts, history, extensions, passwords, cache etc. It's an easy way to do Firefox backup, Thunderbird backup ..."
Run MozBackup to backup your settings, uninstall Firefox, install it in the new location, run MozBackup to restore your settings.

  • Which function to clear private data

There is in Firefox a function in Tools, saying Clear Private data, which is the correspondent one in Safari ?
    Thanks

    Hi Ferro!
Reset Safari is the equivalent you're looking for. It will wipe everything clean. Just go to Safari > Reset Safari in the menu. And an additional feature is if you turn Private Browsing prior to surfing around it will not keep any info...so you can also keep Safari clean that way...

  • Why i cant clear my.history? i already go to setting-privacy-clear private data.. it happen after update

    TRY THIS
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
The Firefox cache temporarily stores images, scripts, and other parts of websites while you are browsing. <br>
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies, do the following:
#Tap the menu icon located at the top right corner. This is the icon with 3 bars. On older Android devices you'll have to press the hardware menu key and then tap More.
    #Tap '''Settings'''.
#After that, you will be taken to the settings screen. In the settings screen, look under the section '''''Privacy & Security''''' and select '''Clear private data'''.
#You will then be taken to a list of what can be cleared. Select the following 2 for deletion:
    #*Cookies & active logins
    #*Cache
#After those have been selected, tap the '''Clear data''' button to actually clear the cache and cookies.
Restart your mobile and give a try

  • A message will pop up (Exc in ev handl: Error: Bad NPObject as private data!) and the tab I was on will close out and reopen in a new window. Why is it happening and how do I stop it?

Okay, I will have a window open with 4 tabs open. At first, everything is fine, but after a day or so, a message will pop up on screen saying "'''Exc in ev handl: Error: Bad NPObject as private data!'''" and after you close it out, the tab you were on will close and reopen in it's own window. I then have to shut down all both old and new windows and open a new window with my original 4 tabs again. It will work fine until a few days pass and it starts over again.

This issue can be caused by the McAfee Site Advisor extension

  • How get controls name from a class private data?

How can i get the names of the controls inside a class private data?
I am using Actor Framework and trying to create a method tha will be executed when launch the actor. This method need a list o all the control names inside the class data to search for the initial value inside a configuration file (config.ini), the key on the configuration file will be the name of the control.
    Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You are already making the overriding method just because you have to write to the Bundle By Name.  And then how are you going to handle all of the data types the keys could be.  You are making things more difficult than it should be for really very little benefit.
