ANNC: Deja Vu Automated CSS Page Pack for Accordion Panel Magic

Deja Vu captures the clean and simple approach to design that
has gone into
our web sites for many years. In fact, we're sure you'll find
Deja Vu very
familiar.
Deja Vu comes with 5 page designs. Layouts are CSS-based,
fixed-width, and
centered. Pages are automatically created using the PVII Page
Pack interface
inside Dreamweaver.
Navigation menus are powered by the latest version of
Accordion Panel Magic
(required), which automatically highlights the current page
link and expands
the panel that contains it.
You'll learn how multi-column layouts can be designed in
Fireworks and how
Fireworks is used to develop the CSS that makes your columns
render with
equal heights. It's mathematically precise yet clear and easy
to
understand - and kind of fun if you're a designer just
getting into CSS.
Deja Vu comes with a comprehensive User Guide and free
technical support.

  • HTML5 pack for Illustrator CS5 - what about Fireworks CS5?

I am puzzled by this Adobe action!
They released an HTML5 pack for... Adobe Illustrator, which is a great vector app (I admit) but is much more print-oriented, than Fireworks. Yet, there is no HTML5 pack for Fireworks??
Fireworks is an app that is almost exclusively oriented towards development for Web and screen (Illustrator can create content for Web and screen, too, of course, but it is not so strong in this area). Let me give you some arguments, that Fireworks is the best tool for Web!
    1) Fireworks is great for making layouts -- it's fast and intuitive. (Ai is complex and powerful, but not so easy to use and not so fast.)
    2) The color picking in Fireworks is excellent (grab any color instantly from anywhere, no need for making complex sets of swatches). Find-n-Replace that is unbeatable and works for colors and fonts, too.
    3) Much better gradient tools, easier to edit gradients, much more gradient choices!
    4) Fast, effective and best quality/size compression when exporting images for Web. Excellent slicing options, too. And exporting and optimizing images is twice as fast in Fw!
    5) Pages and Master Pages! Yes!
    6) Not only excellent and intuitive vector tools, but also good bitmap editing options, all in one. C'mon, today Illustrator cannot even crop imported bitmaps??
    7) Option to export as PNG8+alpha, that works also as PNG8+index -- great for making any PNG+alpha image work in IE6/7 with no problems or worarounds!
    8) Pages/Layers/States, which combined, give much better options for developing for Web. You can add interactivity, too! You can make smal animations, when needed, and export as .swf or .gif animated -- excellent options, for example, to create a cool custom AJAX loader animation, and making small animattions is a breeze in Fw.
    9) Option to instantly export any static graphic design as interactive and clickable prototype in HTML/CSS format, with almost valid code (external stylesheet, properly floated containers, option to set images to be either background or foreground type, option to easily tag elements and export them as H1-H6, P, DIV, FORM, A HREF, etc.).  You can export one page or a multi-page document, with one-click only! These are options available only in Fireworks, because it is web oriented (Ps or Ai cannot do this kind of thing, but they are print-oriented).
There are many other arguments, but no need to dig any deeper.
So, even if Fireworks is one of the best suited for Web tools, Ai gets an HTML5 pack?
    C'mon, Adobe...

Also, Fireworks is mostly a vector graphics app -- it saves in its own file format (editable PNG), but it can also export to FXG 2.0, it can save as .ai (v.8, I admit, but hopefully this will change soon), as .psd, it can export to PNG8/24/32, GIF, JPG, TIFF, etc. Fw can also import .ai and .psd files pretty well, and also .eps. Unfortunately, Fw cannot open FXG 2.0 or .svg files...
What I'd like to see is more Web features in Fireworks, because Fireworks has always been one of the best apps for Web/screen design...

  • How to Install and apply the Diagnostic Pack for Fusion Middleware on EM

    Hi
we have installed ADF Runtime along with Enterprise Manager on IBM-AIX-64-BIT-7.1 version. now, we are planning to install the Diagnostic pack for fusion middleware inorder to monitor the ADF Application deployed on weblogic 10.3.6 server from Enterprise Console. Can anybody suggest, the diagnostic pack for fusion middleware compatability version for our OS,weblogic 10.3.6.
    Regards
    Nagaraju Manchala

    Hi Nagaraju,
The packs just represent packaged licensing and usually don't need to be installed. However, I assume you are referring to the Diagnostic Pack for Oracle Middleware. If so, the functionality is actually not part of Enterprise Manager Cloud Control. All of the WLS and FMW management features are licensed via WebLogic Management Pack EE or the appropriate FMW pack licensing such as SOA Management Pack EE for SOA Suite and OSB and Management Pack for Oracle WebCenter for WebCenter and UCM. The Diagnostic Pack for Oracle Middleware includes the standalone AD4J and JRMC diagnostic tools which can be downloaded from e-Delivery and installed separately. It is solely dedicated to diagnostics at the end of the day as opposed to monitoring.
Most prefer WLS Management Pack EE for monitoring and managing WebLogic and Oracle App Server apps along with the RUEI product, but you definitely can take advantage of AD4J and JRMC today. It should be noted that WLS Management Pack EE allows the usage of JVM diagnostics as well which is much broader in its 24/7 diagnostics and monitoring capabilities at the JVM level than the standalone AD4J component. In addition, the diagnostics is supplemented with the middleware diagnostics advisor, performance summary and composite application dashboards, diagnostic snapshots, and other functionality. In addition, WLS Management Pack EE includes all of the configuration management (config compare, compliance policies, patch tracking, etc) and lifecycle management features (domain and Java EE provisioning, patch automation). Anyways, it is probably just easier to take a look at the self-running demos for the features on OTN under EM and YouTube in the WebLogic Server or Oracle Learning channels.
Also, to your oriiginal point, you don't need to install the pack. You can discover WLS and FMW targets out of the box immediately. There are additional components you can download under the EM umbrella such as Real User Experience Insight (RUEI - monitors actual user activity on the front-end and associates it with EMCC targets) and Business Transaction Management (BTM - formerly AmberPoint, which provides payload aware business transaction monitoring). Both RUEI and BTM data integrates with EMCC via the Business Application dashboard, so you can still have a single console view of your application even though the RUEI and BTM components are installed separately.

  • HTML and CSS Best Practices for Eloqua?

    Hello Topliners Community,
My name is Ben and I am a Web Designer. I am currently looking for any guidance on HTML and CSS best practices when working with Eloqua. I am interested in the best practices for e-mail and landing pages.
    Thank you,
    Ben

Personally I like to upload my custom created html/css into Eloqua instead of using the WYSIWYG.
But if you must then right clicking on text boxes and click edit source is the way to go.
There was a good discussion on editing your forms with CSS:
Energize Your Eloqua10 Forms with CSS
created by Ryan Wheler on Nov 2, 2012 8:44 AM, last modified by Greg Stotler on Sep 19, 2013 2:00 PM
    Version 2
CSS can be used to heavily customize the layout of forms in Eloqua10.  In this article we will provide sample cover some common formatting use cases on Eloqua10 Landing Pages.  Further details about uses of CSS in Eloqua10 form templates can be found here: EE12 - Do It - Eloqua - Energize E10 Forms
    Eloqua10 Forms HTML Structure
Below is an outline of the structure of the HTML generated by Eloqua when a form is added to a landing page.  By targeting the HTML classes highlighted below, we can control the layout of any form on your landing page.

  • How can i load a specific CSS style sheet for Safari?

Okay, So I have some structure issues when viewing my website on Safari compared to Firefox. Is there a way to put a code in the <head> tag to load a specific CSS style sheet for Safari like you can do with IE?
    Thanks.

I took a screenshot of your page from Firefox (shown below).  I assume you're seeing the same problem in Safari.  If you increase text size one click, the keyboard image drops below the #contact division.
    1) Height is a restiction in all browsers except IE.  Avoid  using height values on containers with text in them.  If needed to show  a background image, use the min-height property.
    2)  Fix your code errors. Some browsers are very sensitive to errors.
    3)  Your #content lacks cohesion. You need 3 columns, each with a width in pixels.  Or simply use a 3-column table.

  • UCS Management Pack for System Center 2012 OpsMgr add monitor wizard error

We're successfully using the 2.6.0.179 version of the UCS Management Pack for System Center 2012 Operations Manager in our 2012 SP1 OpsMgr environment; however, in the new 2012 R2 OpsMgr environment we've stood-up and in which we installed the 2.6.2.0 version of the UCS MP, we're getting an error when trying to run the Add Monitoring Wizard under the Management Pack Templates node of the Authoring pane. We get the same error from the 2.6.1.0 version of the UCS MP as well. The text of the error is as follows:
"The page [Cisco.UCS.MP.UI.Proxy.Template.Page.ProxyDetailsPage] in the assembly [Cisco.UCS.MP.UI.Culture="",PublicKeyToken="6c96076cdf2c87a",Version="2.6.0.0"] could not be loaded. Please make sure that the account you are running under has sufficient privileges to load the given assembly, or the management pack that defines this page is installed or the assembly containing the page is in the path of the executible or that the page derives from known Operations Manager page type."
I'm an admin user in OpsMgr, so this should not be a user privilege issue, and that leaves the MP itself. The fact that a 2.6.0.0 version is mentioned makes me wonder if the base version of the MP must be installed before the 2.6.2 version. I'd test this, but we no longer have that version, and its no longer available for download from Cisco that I can see.
Has any dealt with this issue successfully, or have any insight into the problem?

Solved...the requirement is that you must do the MP configuration from the SCOM console on the SCOM Management Server where you installed the Cisco UCS MP; you can't do it from a SCOM console on a remote computer like I was trying to do.
