Was wondering if anyone has used the Vertical Scroller Magic
from Project7.
I'm having a hard time making the scrolling area taller then
what is currently set. I've tried changing the height in a few
places and setting the height in the outer most div, but still no
luck. Any suggestions on how i can make it taller?
Thanks
KGThe height is simply set in the Vertical Scroller Magic
interface and can be
changed at any time. From page 16 of the user guide (also
accessible by
clicking the Help button in the user interface)
"SCROLLER BOX HEIGHT OPTION
This determines the height of the scroller view port in
pixels. You must
enter a number greater than zero. If you are using a style
theme that
includes a complete set of scroll bar controls such as Chili,
Goldleaf,
Carbon, or Aero, be sure that you set the Scroller Box Height
to be higher
than the total height of the Up, Down, Play/Pause, and drag
bar control
buttons.
Note: While the height of the view port is set in the
interface, the width
of the scroller will always be the width of the page element
into which you
insert it. Be sure that this page element has sufficient
width to display
the scroller."
Note that we provide free support via email, newsgroup, and
telephone as
outlined in your User Guide, as well as on our main support
page:

It could be any number of things. Text contrast or frame
rate, for example.
Those are configurable so that people can set things up
optimized for their
best or worst case browser scenarios.

TableView horizontal and vertical scrolling is horribly slow
How can I adjust the horizontal and vertical scrolling amount?
I used the Ensemble example prorgam and streched the column so that the horizontal scroll bar is displayed. I then used the right scroll button which then scrolls extremly slow. I've looked at the javadoc on the tableview and I cannot determine how to set the scrolling amount. I can check if the table is scrolling but I would like to set the amount to be a column width at a time when using the left or right arrow. It probably needs to be actually rendered to the Scene graph before the lookups can be made, so the lookups won't work in the initialize method.
There are a number of reasons I don't like this solution
- I don't like the string binding
- the fact that there are scrollbars that are descendant nodes of the table view is not documented, so (at least in theory) a future release of JavaFX could choose not to use the ScrollBar class (for example by creating its own scrolling implementation). This would break the code you have.
- if you decided to create (or use) an alternative skin for the table view which had other scrollbars in place (again, unlikely but theoretically possible), you'd end up setting the unit and block increments of those scrollbars too. In other words, there's no guarantee these are the actual scrollbars you want.
So, not ideal but at least if it works you have something... -
Vertical scroll bar disappears on the timeline?
After I use the vertical scroll bar once it disappears and I am unable to scroll. If I click the film strip on and off, it comes back. Is there a way to always keep the scroll bar visable on the timeline?
That has got to be a bug. Go to the Motion menu and Provide Motion Feedback... !
Otherwise, you can scroll with your mouse. I use a mouse with a scroll wheel, but I think I remember the magic mouse has a scroll gesture(?).
You can make the layers smaller by mousing over one of the lines in the layers list to the left of the timeline. The cursor should change to a double-pointed arrow. Click and drag the layers smaller.
You can open the timeline window wider by mousing over the Timeline top border, and click drag to make it larger.
I use this feature so rarely that I had never noticed before. When the scroll bar does appear, it's not "fully formed" either -- just a grey bar -- no resize controls on the ends at all. -
RoboHelp 8: Vertical scroll bar problem
I just installed RoboHelp 8. When I view a topic page that is longer than the window, sometimes the vertical scroll bars appear and sometimes they don't. If I click the <> HTML tab and then click the Design tab again, the scroll bar appears. The scroll bar also appears if I click the "Save" or "Save All" button. I also don't see a Service Pack for RoboHelp 8. Is that true?
I'm attaching 2 screen shots (both of the same topic) - one when I first go in to a topic and the scroll bar does not appears and one when I go to the HTML tab or Save and then scroll bar appears.Hi there
No, there is no service release for version 8 as yet.
Could it be simply that focus is inside another pod when you fail to see the scroll bar? Perhaps you have clicked to select the Single Source Layouts pod and you see the scroll bar goes away?
Just guessing here... Rick

Hi,
Suddenly while working with Firefox if I happen to drag the vertical scroll bar, a very abnormal behavior occurs. My screen dances up and down for a short time before either going black or getting restored but with no clicks working. The only way to resume is to force a restart of the system.
Any help would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks and Regards
DeepakThat didn't work. On trying to install a new driver I got the error the graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware. Is there anything else that can be done to at least prevent the hanging of the computer even if it means less features from Firefox being available?

Question on vertical scroll bars in JScroll Pane
Hi,
I managed to display my chat program with a vertical scroll bars by using JScrollPane. Every time some on types a line, this is appended to whatever was previously in the JTextArea (the JScrollPane has a JTextArea in it). Even though this works fine, when the dimension of the JTextArea is full with text, one has to scroll down to see what was the last line of text that was typed.
Is there a way to make the verticall scroll area alwas scrolled down (I mean, scrolled to the bottom so I can see new incoming text without manually having to scroll it down?)
Thanks!
Cecilia. You might try adding a properties listener to the JTextArea listening for a "resize/size" property change and when it does, force the scroll bar to go to max.

Vertical Scroll bars in analysis - View all rows
Users want to see the whole report displayed in one page with only a vertical scroll bar. They do not want the up/down arrows. Is this possible in OBIEE?
Thanks.
AdTo implement the solution, please do:
1. Change instanceconfig.xml file in <biee11g_install>\instances\instance1\config\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1 as following
<Views>
<Pivot>
<!--This Configuration setting is managed by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Manager-->
<DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>75</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>
<!--This Configuration setting is managed by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Manager-->
<DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>2500</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>
<!--This Configuration setting is managed by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Manager-->
<DisableAutoPreview>false</DisableAutoPreview>
<MaxVisibleColumns>5000</MaxVisibleColumns>
<MaxVisiblePages>2500</MaxVisiblePages>
<MaxVisibleRows>500000</MaxVisibleRows>
<MaxVisibleSections>5000</MaxVisibleSections>
</Pivot>
<Table>
<!--This Configuration setting is managed by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Manager-->
<DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>75</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>
<!--This Configuration setting is managed by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Manager-->
<DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>2500</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>
<MaxVisiblePages>2500</MaxVisiblePages>
<MaxVisibleRows>500000</MaxVisibleRows>
<MaxVisibleSections>5000</MaxVisibleSections>
</Table>
</Views>
3. Note the new elements added are the following to both <Pivot> and <Table>, the Pivot part controls Pivot view, and Table part controls Table View, my testing was done with Table View.
<MaxVisiblePages>2500</MaxVisiblePages>
<MaxVisibleRows>500000</MaxVisibleRows>
<MaxVisibleSections>5000</MaxVisibleSections>
4. Restart Presentation Server from EM, then run your request, do excel export to verify.
Thanks... -
How can I create a vertical scroll for text in a 'div' in CSS Dreamweaver?
Hi there,
I need to flow a lot of text into a CSS div. However, I don't want a big long page as it will look ugly and be inconsistent with the other pages in the site.
I need to be able to put in a vertical scroll directly in the div containing the text (not on the whole page) so the user can scroll the text down without moving down the whole page.
Is there a way for me to do this?
I'm a beginner to CSS so a step by step for dummies approach would be most helpful.
Thanks in advance for any help!use the overflow:scroll property:

Is there a way to vertically scroll records in an interactive report
Hi, I have an interactive report which returns over 100,000 records. Currently, to move through these records one must press the pagination icon (x - y of z records).
Is there a way to have a vertical scroll bar?
this used to be accomplished in SQL reports with <div style="overflow: auto; height: 500px;width: 1000px;"> set in the header and pagination turned off.
thanks, Karen
Edited by: KarenH on Apr 14, 2011 1:23 PMjust to clarify, I am able to add the region header of *' div style=overflow: auto; height: 400px;* to a regular SQL report to have it scroll...but just unable to do so for an interactive reportl. thanks again.

When I hit "full page" the right vertical scroll bar re-appears, but my bookmark toolbars, my bing bar, and pretty much the entire top 2 inches of my screen disappears. When all of these things are showing, the right vertical scroll bar disappears, and the entire webpage shifts to the right, so I can't see most of the right side of the page. How do I fix this?
