You should be able to download the rup3 patch 4725670. The explanation of superseding is just the normal standard oracle patching jargon for their reference, don't worry about that.
Download 4725670 only and use for your development.

How about Jdev10g with OA extension of p6509325_R12_GENERIC?

Our EBS version is 12.0.3 and download the Patch 6509325 10g Jdev with OA Extension ARU for R12 RUP3.
When I use it and find the IDE and right-click menu is very different from its help file showing. I can't not add existing BC4J
Package Files to my Project and there not show New Business Components Package...
The new R12 Jdev with OA Ext very different from that i use 11i before.
How about you? How can i do my task now?

Yes In R12- OAF there is a functionality to include/Exclude BC4J comp in the Project Properties.
Try to search it.

How do I add a filter in JFileChooser for files with no extension?

Is it possible to have a filter with that filters out files with no extension in a JFileChooser?

When you override accept(File), get the filename from the File object, and parse out the extension. I don't remember there being an easy way to get the extension besides looking for a dot and parsing. If there's no extension, accept it.

Unfortunatelly, something’s not working fine on Flexplayer during the last cupple of months. A lot of updates have been released lately and the problems persist. Since iOS 6 was on the air, the problems became even worst. It’s a shame, but I think it’s time to change the app we are using. The alternative I found is 8Player, it works fine, similar to Flexplayer (but nicer interfase), and the best is that it supports “.flv” (not sure Flexplayer did). You can save your files to your hard disc using iTunes and then transfer them again to your idevice, once you’ve installed 8Player. I hope this helps. Bye bye Flexplayer!!

How to generate web services for OAS with wsdl extension

Hi,
I wanted to know how to generate web services from Oracle Application Server especially with .wsdl extension and with document/literal style.
I know that earlier there was a tool called SmartConnect from BEA WebLogic.
But that will work only with ALSB (Aqua logic Service Bus). I guess that ALSB has been renamed as Oracle Service Bus by Oracle after the acquisition of WebLogic. My question is what is the new name for the SmartConnect Tool from WebLogic, which generates wsdl very easily from Oracle database.
I am unable to know the new name for SmartConnect and how to download that tool from Oracle web site.
Also, I want to know, whether there is any other way to generate the wsdl from Oracle, if so, please let me know.

Change default program for files with no extension

I've got a file called TODO. Just TODO, not TODO.txt or anything like that, there is no extension.
I want to open all files with no extension in MacVim.app. If i right click TODO, select Get Info, change to MacVim.app under Open with, and then click Change All, this is what I get:
"Are you sure you want to change all similar documents to open with the application "MacVim.app"?"
I click Continue.
"An error occured while changing the application that opens "TODO" because not enough information is available. Do you want to open "TODO" with "MacVim.app"?"
This is useless! Any ideas as to how to make it work?

extremely annoying. when i first switched to OS X, i had to rewite a hundred or so perl scripts for my servers... because any text file or data file or whatever, that didn't have an extension after it, would no longer open in BBEdit, like it always did in 9.2
3 years later i'm still occasionally getting that annoying 'doh, what do i open this with' message. macs are getting dumber all the time.
i guess apple thinks windows got it right associating the extension with the app.
and half my 'change alls' don't stick either.

I am attempting to upload a manually edited WADConfig xml to my VM. The WAD service is functioning correctly, I needed to add some custom WinEventLogs. The prescribed steps result in an error.
What am I overlooking?

Since Azure SDK 2.5 uses the extension model the diagnostics extension, the configuration and the connection string to the diagnostic storage are no longer part of the deployment package and cscfg. All the diagnostics configuration is contained within the
wadcfgx. The advantage with this approach is that diagnostics agent and settings are decoupled from the project and can be dynamically enabled and updated even after your application is deployed.
Due to this change some existing workflows need to be rethought – instead of configuring the diagnostics as part of the application that gets deployed to each environment you can first deploy the application to the environment and then apply the diagnostics
configuration for it. When you publish the application from Visual Studio this process is done automatically for you. However if you were deploying your application outside of VS using PowerShell then you have to install the extension separately through
PowerShell.
There PowerShell cmdlets for managing the diagnostics extensions on a Cloud Service are -
Set-AzureServiceDiagnosticsExtension
Get-AzureServiceDiagnosticsExtension
Remove-AzureServiceDiagnosticsExtension
You can use the Set-AzureServiceDiagnosticsExtension method to enable diagnostics extension on a cloud service. One of the parameters on this cmdlet is the XML configuration file. This file is slightly different from the diagnostics.wadcfgx file. You can
create this file from scratch by either following the article that you are referring to or you can modify the wadcfgx file and pass in the modified file as a parameter to the powershell cmdlet.
To modify the wadcfgx file –
Make a copy the .wadcfgx.
Remove the following elements from the Copy:

Make sure the top of the file still has xml version and encoding –

Effectively you are stripping down the Wadcfgx to only contain the <PublicConfig> section and the <?xml> header. You can then call the PowerShell cmdlet along with the appropriate parameters for the staging slots and roles:
