    From the download link below, it only shows JDeveloper 11g (11.1.1.2.0).

    Where is the newer version 11.1.1.3? I thought it was there last week.
    Thanks,

    I was able to download it from this link:

    on the general 11g Fusion download page at:

    Although the site does appear to be having problems. I got intermittent errors of the page/server not being available.

    In the Media pack Readme for parts required to be downloaded for different EPM products, Essbase has Oracle Identity Management 11g Patch Set 5 (11.1.1.6.0) for Microsoft Windows x86 (64-bit) listed. Can someone please tell me if this is a must have. If not under what conditions does one need to have this?

  • 11g patch set after the s/w n DB installation

    Hi,
    I have installed Oracle 11g to the following location: ORACLE_HOME=/oracle/app/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1. Installed version is 11.2.0.2.
    I wanted to apply PATCHSET 11.2.0.3 before installing the database. but forgot..
    Two questions please:
    - Now what should be the procedure to do this, and secondly, I should have installed database to the directory 11.2.0.3 instead of 11.2.0 (as above).
    - I want db in the directory as specified and then I want to apply patchset to upgrade it to 11.2.0.3.
    Thanks

    - Now what should be the procedure to do this, and secondly, I should have installed database to the directory 11.2.0.3 instead of 11.2.0 (as above).There are two phases to any patch/patchset. First is patching the software itself, in the desginated ORACLE_HOME. Second is running some scripts (like catalog.sql, catproc.sql) against any databases that are running from the patched home. Obviously, if you have not created any databases on the patched home, you have nothing to run those scripts against. But if you later move a database to that patched home, you will need to run those scripts.
    And be aware that if you used dbca to create a database and select anything other than 'custom' database, the database will be created from a 'seed' database and will probably have to have the patch/upgrade scripts applied to it. If you choose 'custom' database, it will be created from a series of scripts based on a CREATE DATABASE command, and thus will be created at the current patch level.
    - I want db in the directory as specified and then I want to apply patchset to upgrade it to 11.2.0.3.Typically the oracle home is only named to the first three decimals, and patchsets are installed into the same home. There is really no need to name your home down to the patchset level, and doing so just creates more work. Been there, done that.

  • JDeveloper 11g - exception when trying to set Code Style in Preferences

    Hi forum
    I have just installed the new JDeveloper 11g and have upgraded my projects, and would now like to define my code style. But when I open Preferences -> Code Editor -> Code Style, I get the following error. Is this a known issue? Not being able to set my coding style like I'm used to is pretty annoying...
    Thanks in advance,

    To anyone else encountering this:
    I would just like to report, that Oracle Development has managed to reproduce this problem from scratch by following a similar upgrade path 10.1.3.0->10.1.3.4->11.1.1.0. The problem is NOT OS-related, but related to migrating the user settings from 10.1.3.3. So Jan you were right about that. Credits go to you :)
    The only workaround for me has so far been to take a backup of my old SYSTEM directory causing the problem, and I have been forced to carefully recreate all my settings to get around this problem, since I already removed my old 10.1.3.3 installation, assuming the migration went OK - which it didn't... So, I will keep my old backup, in the hope that Development finds a fix to this issue, so I can go back to the settings I used to have, even though I THINK I have recreated them all for 11g - not completely sure though... time will tell.
    Until then, I will track the bug, that Didier has logged for me, which he mentioned in his post.
    Regards,
    Jacob

  • OBIEE 11g: Bugs Fixed in 11.1.1.6.5 Patch Set

    Hello, I have a question about the patches that apply.
    I have installed the product BI Publisher Enterprise 11g (11.1.1.6.0)
    I detected a bug:
    bug 13791065 - UNGROUP OF A SUBGROUP WITH AN EXPRESSION DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY
    This bug was fixed in OBIEE 11g: Bugs Fixed in 11.1.1.6.5 Patch Set
    ¿could apply this patch to version BI Publisher Enterprise? Because this patch cotent the fix bug 13791065
    I think not because,...this patch only apply in OBIEE Enterprise 11g and I have BIP Enterprise 11g
    Patch 14630670: UPDATE FOR BI PUBLISHER ENTERPRISE 11.1.1.6.X SEPTEMBER 2012 is the last patch for me?
    This latest version does not contain the bug fix 13791065.
    thank you very much

    Thanks Daniele for the reply,
    I believe the 11.1.1.4 was released but only in OTN, not for everyone (I'm not 100% sure about this...) . However I know that a certain bug (9973004) was solved in 11.1.1.4, and this bug does not appear in the 11.1.1.5 list. That could happen with many other bugs, they could be solved in 11.1.1.4 but not appear in any list.
    Thanks again!

  • How to set File Encoding to UTF-8 On Save action in JDeveloper 11G R2?

    Hello,
    I am facing issue when I am modifying a File using JDeveloper 11G R2. JDeveloper is changing the Encoding of the File to System default Encoding (ANSI) instead of UTF-8. I have updated the Encoding to UTF-8 in "Tools | Preferences | Environment | Encoding" option and restarted the JDeveloper. I have also updated "Project Properties | Compiler | Character Encoding" option to UTF-8. None of them are working.
    I am using below version of JDeveloper,
    Oracle JDeveloper 11g Release 2 11.1.2.3.0
    Studio Edition Version 11.1.2.3.0
    Product Version: 11.1.2.3.39.62.76.1
    I created a file in UTF-8 Encoding. I opened it, do some changes and Save it.
    When I open the "Properties" tab using "Help | About" Menu, I can see that the Properties of JDeveloper are showing encoding as Cp1252. Is it related?
    Properties
    sun.jnu.encoding
    Cp1252
    file.encoding
    Cp1252
    Any idea how to make sure JDeveloper saves the File in UTF-8 always?
    - Sujay

    I have already done that. That is the first thing I did as mentioned in my Thread. I have also added below 2 options in jdev.conf and restarted JDeveloper, but that also did not work.
    AddVMOption -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8
    AddVMOption -Dsun.jnu.encoding=UTF-8

    Hi,
    as read in this thread : Re: Always fail to deploy to server when (Create a Simple EJB Session Bean )
    >
    This is a known JDeveloper 11g bug. If you look into the packaged EAR file, JDeveloper inserts some entries into the weblogic-application.xml file to register some listeners to perform some internal tasks it needs to deal with.
    The issue is that these classes are part of the ADF runtime and installed as part of the provided ADF domain. They are not provided as part of a standard WLS installation. Thus when you deploy a JDeveloper 11g packaged application to a non ADF augmented WLS 10.3 instance, you get a Classloading error on deployment because the specific listener-classes are not available.
    The relevant bug # for this is:
    BUG#7487416
    EAR FILE PACKAGING SETS FIXED DEPENDENCY ON
    JPSAPPLICATIONLIFECYCLELISTENER
    I believe a fix for this will be provided in the first patchset for JDeveloper 11g.
    In the meantime, if you want to workaround it, extract the weblogic-application.xml file from the EAR file, manually remove the listener entries, put the modified file back into the EAR file and then deploy it.
    -steve-
    >
    It solved the problem for me.
    But you should now get another problem, like some of us on this forum : ADFLogger will be missing. If so, please report to this thread for helping us : Standalone WLS server instance deployment failure - missing ADFLogger

  • How to get multiple out parameters from a pl/sql stored procedure in ADF Jdeveloper 11g release2

    I´m trying to call from AppModuleImpl a stored procedure from my oracle DB which receives one input parameter and returns 5 out parameters.
    I´m using jdeveloper 11g release2  ADF and I have created a java bean "ProRecallPlatesBean " with the atributes and accesors and I serialize it. just like in this article http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24382_01/web.1112/e16182/bcadvgen.htm#sm0297
    This is my code so far:
    public ProRecallPlatesBean getCallProRecallPlates(String numPlates) {
    CallableStatement st = null;
    try {
              // 1. Define the PL/SQL block for the statement to invoke
              String stmt = "begin CTS.Pk_PreIn.proRecallPlates(?,?,?,?,?,?); end;";
              // 2. Create the CallableStatement for the PL/SQL block
              st = getDBTransaction().createCallableStatement(stmt,0);
              // 3. Register the positions and types of the OUT parameters
              st.registerOutParameter(2,Types.VARCHAR);
    st.registerOutParameter(3,Types.VARCHAR);
    st.registerOutParameter(4,Types.VARCHAR);
    st.registerOutParameter(5,Types.VARCHAR);
    st.registerOutParameter(6,Types.VARCHAR);
    // 4. Set the bind values of the IN parameters
    st.setString(1,numPlates);
    // 5. Execute the statement
    st.executeUpdate();
    // 6. Create a bean to hold the multiple return values
    ProRecallPlatesBean result = new ProRecallPlatesBean();
    // 7. Set values of properties using OUT params
    result.setSpfVal(st.getString(2));
    result.setTransportTypeVal(st.getString(3));
    result.setTransportCompanyVal(st.getString(4));
    result.setCompanyDescrVal(st.getString(5));
    result.setDGAPrint(st.getString(6));
    // 8. Return the result
    return result;
    } catch (SQLException e) {
    throw new JboException(e);
    } finally {
    if (st != null) {
    try {
    // 9. Close the JDBC CallableStatement
    st.close();
    catch (SQLException e) {}
    In Jdeveloper I went into AppModule.xml JAVA>Client Interface section and expose "getCallProRecallPlates" Then I can see "getCallProRecallPlates" in Data Controls, I drag and drop it to a JSF page, an input text component and a button are generated in order to put in there the procedure input parameter (numPlates).
    I don't know if I'm on the right track.
    When I click the button, the "result" variable is supposed to be filled with data from the stored procedure. I want each of those values to be displayed in Output text or input text adf components but I dont know how. Thank you very much in advance I´m a newbie and i'll appreciate your help!

    What version are you on?
    Works fine for me on my 11g:
    SQL> create or replace procedure testxml (clob_out out clob)
      2  is
      3     l_clob   clob;
      4     l_ctx    dbms_xmlquery.ctxhandle;
      5  begin
      6     l_ctx := dbms_xmlquery.newcontext ('select * from dual');
      7     l_clob := dbms_xmlquery.getxml (l_ctx);
      8     clob_out := l_clob;
      9     dbms_xmlquery.closecontext (l_ctx);
    10  end testxml;
    11  /
    Procedure created.
    SQL>
    SQL> variable vout clob;
    SQL>
    SQL> exec testxml (:vout)
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL>
    SQL> print vout
    VOUT
    <?xml version = '1.0'?>
    <ROWSET>
       <ROW num="1">
          <DUMMY>X</DUMMY>
       </ROW>
    </ROWSET>But definitely you can optimize your proc a bit: Try
    create or replace procedure testxml (clob_out in out nocopy clob)
    is
       l_ctx    dbms_xmlquery.ctxhandle;
    begin
       l_ctx := dbms_xmlquery.newcontext ('select * from dual');
       clob_out := dbms_xmlquery.getxml (l_ctx);
       dbms_xmlquery.closecontext (l_ctx);
    end testxml;

  • Problem with PPR in Jdeveloper 11g

    Hi All,
    I'm working with the Jdeveloper 11g.
    My problem is I have a command button/ Command link in a jspx page. Whenever I click on the command button or command or any action generating components the whole page is getting refreshed(PPR).
    I wrote some internal logic in the constructor so as to display the tree. It is calling the constructor again and again when I'm clicking on the sub nodes of the tree. I think the entire page is getting refreshed and the methods are calling again and again.
    Is there any way to overcome this problem.
    Could any one help me out.
    Thanking you,
    regards,
    Satish.

    Satish,
    I need more information to triage this issue. Do you have the partialSubmit attribute set to "true" on the command component? Does your JSPX contain an <af:document> tag?

  • JDeveloper 11g: How to get all the rows of a database table from applicatio

    Hello all!
    I'm developing a application with JDeveloper 11g, like subject show.
    So, I'm suppose to use some data which are in database table.
    So, I had the View Object where I want take data, to the datamodel.
    And after this, I use this next line in my serviceClass.java:
    public String method(){
            String truc = null;
            getViewName().setRangeSize(-1);
            getViewName().setRangeStart(0);
            getViewName().executeQuery();
    //I do my treatment here
    return truc
    }When the application run, it stop just before the line "getViewName().setRangeSize(-1);"
    So, I think it is the locking point.
    Someone can help me.
    Thank's
    Nystan

    Hi,
    1. You work with a application module class and not in a plain old java object? So you create a application module or only a view object?
    2. If you work with a application module class. Can you switch on a bit of logging? To set the system debug output property, open the Run/Debug/Profile page in the Project Properties dialog for your data model project. Click Edit to edit the chosen run configuration, and add following string to the Java Options field in the page.
    -Djbo.debugoutput=console -Djbo.adflogger.level=FINE
    maybe you can see the error.
    Best regards
    Martin

  • Error after applying patch set 10.1.3.4.0

    Hi everyone,
    I downloaded the patch set 10.1.3.4.0 from [http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/htdocs/101310.html] and intalled it on my machine but after the installation finished, I found problem in runing Oracle Process Manaer Console. When I try to login, it redirects to DomainPickup.jsp and after entering oc4jadmin id and password below message appears: No domains accessible to the user logged in.
    When I click on Goto BPEL Admin and try to create a new domain, it does not accept "default" as domain id: it says "Domain already exists." when I give different name, it shows this error:
    Exception
    Operation failed because:
    Domain creation error.
    An exception occurred while attempting to create the domain "sample" at path "c:\oracle10gR1\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\bpel\domains\sample". The exception reported is:
    I was using SOA suite 10.1.3.0 and it was working properly before upgrade.
    I will appeciate if someone can help me to fix this problem. I could not found any note for applying this patch on download page too.
    Thanks
    Esfand

    Hi Adina,
    I tried to perform all the steps explained there but I might have missed some parts which I'm not getting it down. I could figure out the cause of problem after I searched the oracle forums for several times. It seems that this error is because of data-source settings and database server. The bpel engine can not connect to database anymore. This means that during the pachset the database settings has been altered somehow but when I check the XML files, I can't find any mistake there.
    I have not worked with Oracle Lit database and do not know how to manage the database it creates therefore, I decided to install the Oracle 10g Database XE, when I go through advanced installation of SOA suite 10.3.0.1 after running IRCA, the installation is finished successfully but the same problem exists. When I checked the Connection pool in Oracle AS, it shows error from NLS data and now I'm in infinite loop how to fix this problem. After many installation / deinstallation I could not fix it so I decided to install the SOA Suite in typical mode and then connect the BPEL to oracle Database later. After the installation, I changed 3 data sources defined in Oracle AS along with its connection pool to connect to my Oracle 10g XE database having BPEL schema but it still raises some more exception and now, I have no idea what to do?!!!!
    It's about 10 days that I'm struggling to get this installation done but I have not succeeded yet. I believe It should not be so hard and complex to have Oracle Suite 11g TP4 configured as it appears to happen for me. Oracle products all have straightforward installation process but this once is killing me.!!
    I will appreciate any further help for windows installation.
    Regards
    Esfand
