GCC for SPARC systems is now GCC for Sun Systems!
The download center has been updated with newer bits of GCCFSS 4.2.0 compilers. The updated bits feature
o Bug fixes for various problems reported on the forum
o Support for M9000 systems
o Improved performance and tuning for the newer SPARC64 and UltraSPARC T2 platforms
The download center also features an easier interface for downloading and installation.

Where is the download center? I moved my curosr to the word "Downloads" under "Sun Developers Network (SDN)" and a drop down menu appears. I clicked New Downloads and there is no GCCFSS there (http://www.sun.com/download/index.jsp?tab=4). The most recent one at the top is "StarOffice 9 Software Beta 2008-07-29". I clicked "Developer Tools" in the drop down menu and there is a "GCC For SPARC Systems 4.2.0" item in the middle of the page (http://www.sun.com/download/index.jsp?cat=Application%20Development&tab=3&subcat=Development%20Tools), but when I clicked on it, I got "We are sorry ...General Error
We are sorry, but the download system cannot process your request at this time. Please try again later." (https://cds.sun.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/CDS-CDS_SMI-Site/en_US/-/USD/ViewProductDetail-Start?ProductRef=GCC-4.2.0a-G-F@CDS-CDS_SMI).
I appreciate your appreciation for the bug reports and feedback, but can you write a little note in the form of a reply to the thread which reports a bug saying that it is now fixed in 4.2.0 released on July 30? That would really help in the future when people research (seemingly) related problems and hit the thread upon a search. And that certainly helps the person who reports the bug because now he/she knows he/she should rush to download this new release to get the job done. I would say that's the best form of appreciation in addition to actually fixing the bug.

Does anyone know when is version 7.0 of OSM will be available for download for Sun Solaris SPARC (64bit) ?
Currently, only version 6.3.1 is available from edeliver.oracle.com for Sparc 64bit, as far as I can see, I can only find "Oracle Communications Order and Service Management 6.x Media Pack".
For Linux, version 7.0 was made available on edelivery.oracle.com early this year.

It is available now.
OSM 7.0 for Solaris Sparc 64-bit and for HP-UX Itanium were both made available on Oracle E-Delivery (www.edelivery.oracle.com) as of earlier this week.

I can no longer import raw files from my Panasonic Lumix LX5 into Aperture 3.3.2 - raw files from my other Canon cameras are fine. Am still running Lion - NOT Mountain Lion. Tried all available software updates - no joy. Any ideas please?

Since when did this happen? Directly after you upgraded to Aperture 3.3.2?
If it happened directly after the upgrade the problem may be, that the raw support for your camera got lost. For some posters it helped to register the raw support again, see this post by Alan Roseman:

If this does not help, you may need to reinstall Lion to bring back the raw support.
But if the problem occured independent of a new installation, ypu may have a problem with your camera or the card you are using. Have you tried to use a different card or to reformat the card in the camera?

Turned on my ipod. Said update available. Updated fine,now stuck on terms and conditions. Will not allow me to accept, and now I cannot turn my ipod off. It is literally froze. Any suggestions.

Just stuck on the terms and conditions. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Let the battery fully drain till the iPod turns off.
Then place it in Recovery Mode for a full restore. (Setup as new when done)

Problem viewing available pacman updates with conky

Hi. I'm having problems with showing available package updates in my conky layout. I tried to follow instructions from archwiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Co … nformation but none of the scripts seemed to work correctly, but instead they always show 'System is up to date' even though 'pacman -Qu' shows multiple packages available for update.
Following https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=37284 my conky has (I changed 'python' -> 'python2' so script compiles):
${texeci 10800 python2 /home/laite/.config/awesome/conky/packages_python.py}
Actually, I just noticed that last post in that topic seems to have the same problem than me (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 74#p863474)
Does anybody know how to get this working or maybe some other way to show updates in conky? I already tried all the scripts from wiki with no luck.

Software Update not showing available iWork updates

When I open Pages or Keynote they both report that an update is available (to 4.01) with a button to open Software Update. Software Update however does not show any available iWork updates.
This happens on both my MacBook and my Mac Pro. My iWork 09 versions in "About Pages" shows 4.0.
Anyone else having this issue?

The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. They must be in the iWork '09 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '09 the updaters won't work.

CC desktop announces the same updates daily. What's wrong?

After updating a bunch of my CC applications just yesterday I recieve an update notification for them again today. The applications are: After Effects CC, Flash Professional CC, InDesign CC, Prelude CC, Premiere Pro CC and SpeedGrade CC. I can't imagine that there are updates for the same applications just every day so something must be wrong. E. g. a communication problem?

Updated Apps still show as available to update on iTunes?

After updating apps they sometimes show as still available for update in iTunes, even after updating several times. They eventually do seem to disappear but it is a little annoying. Any ideas how to fix?

This is the same problem as shown above as an iPhone problem "Problem Updating an Application," the problem on the iPhone results because the App isn't updated in iTunes.
The apparent problem in both cases: iTunes becomes aware of a new version of a program, an update. It "downloads" it, but for some reason it isn't downloadad, for this reason the program remains in the list of my available downloads.
So, when I synchronize with the iPhone, nothing has changed, and as a result the program remains displayed as an open update. But the problem seems to be between iTunes and the store. This only happens with some apps, for some unknown reason. Other apps work fine at the same time.
Are we going to be able to hope that a solution for this problem will become available in the forseeable future?

TS1702 Keep showing "new features available to update in the appl store"

I have update the game Dragon Storm already. When I try to get back to the game, It's show the window "new features available to update in the appl store". How can I have acess to my game?

Quit the game completely and then relaunch it.
From your home screen ....Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app to close it.. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Launch the game again and see if the message goes away. There should be somewhere on the screen that you can tap to get out of that message, or at least I would there should be a Done or a Back button - or No Thanks or some option like that.
If quitting didn't work, reboot the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
