Annoying Acrobat reader icon in dock - how to block from appearing ?

Hi, I am sorry the solution must be very simple, but I googled it for a long time and could not find an answer.
Everytime I open a PDF document, the red Acrobat icon appears in the dock. I usually use Dockless to prevent some applications to appear in the dock once started, but Dockless does not have an option to block the Acrobat icon and it somehow annoys me !

The only thing I can think of that might work is to add the Reader to your Startup Items in the Accounts section of the System Preferences. After adding the Reader as an item to load on startup, turn on the check box to hide the application. If this does work, you would need to keep the Reader running all the time. Otherwise, once you quit and relaunch it, the settings to hide it wouldn't apply, and it would show up in the Dock again.
Edit: Never mind, I just tried it. It no workee.

You can try this way. In the material master enter checking groups differently for each storage location(MRP3 view) and in Availability check control(OVZ9Transaction code) do not include the deliveries .This way you can avoid deliveries to be included in the check or use the user exit. And If you want to switch of the deliveries assigned to particular order type, just assign a different delivery type to those order type and determine different delivery item category(0184 Transaction) and in the delivery otem category configuration(0vlp--zerovlp is the transaction), there is a check box aVCHECK OFF ,JUST TICK THAT FILED. Kindly please let me know If you need any more Information on this.

Acrobat Reader DC on PC: How to deactivate the sidebar/element on the right side forever? (Question/Feedback)

How can I deactivate the sidebar/element on the right side (export, create, edit PDF, more information, comment...) forever? It keeps coming back when I restart Acrobat Reader DC.
If this is not a feature, I strongly suggest to implement that Acrobat Reader saves the last state whether it is shown or not (aka activated or deactivated).

I can understand your concern, however its a part of core user interface in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC & Adobe Acrobat DC. So its not possible to disable it permanently.
Some of our customers have raised the same issue & like them you too can fill a feature request for at Adobe - Feature Request/Bug Report Form

In Acrobat Reader DC for Android, how do I prevent Verizon Cloud from launching when clicking the floating action button to retrieve files?

I have a Verizon-branded Samsung Galaxy S5, which means a lot of Verizon apps were added from the factory install.
Recently I upgraded Adobe Acrobat Reader to its most recent version.
When I clicked on the floating action button to open a PDF, it launched Verizon Cloud instead of showing my file directory.
Unless I disabled Verizon Cloud altogether, every time I did this, I would get the Verizon Cloud app instead of a file listing.
Reader DC is the only app that does such a thing. Is this a defect?

To remove the Verizon cloud storage from Adobe Acrobat DC application, you can 'Turn off' the Verizon cloud application from 'Settings'-->'Application Manager'-->'All applications'. After doing this, every time you tap on the Floating Action button, you will be presented the list of all your pdf files on your device.
If you would like to view both the Verizon cloud based files as well as files from your internal memory/SD card, I would request you to download some file manager application from the Google Play Store such as And Explorer, ES File Explorer etc. After doing this, whenever you will tap on the floating action button, you will be provided an option to open the files either from the Verizon cloud or the files on your device.

Is it the application itself that was deleted from the /Applications folder of is it the icon on the dock that got deleted?
If it is the icon just drag it back from the Application folder to the dock. If if is the app you will need to get the application off your install disks. You could either re-install the OS or use something like Pacifist to get the mail application off the disk.

ACROBAT READER 7.09-PDF'S NOT OPENING FROM ONLINE PDF LINKS

Trying to open up pdf's from an online link and they will not open up, not even in preview. Anyway i can setup acrobat to be the default handler of online pdf's.

Basically what is happening is that no download box pops up when i click the link on his mac, meaning, it doesn't look like it is even downloading it. My mac downloads and opens it right up on my machine in adobe. I thought maybe it was a browser issue, im running safari 1.3.2, he is running 1.2.3 and i tried upgrading him to 1.3.1 and it said it couldn't install the software, I then tried installing 1.3.2 and it said it couldn't install without 1.3.1. How the **** do you upgrade safari?

Finder Dock - how to move from far left to center?

I like to have some things in the DOCK right in the center fo the Dock since I use DragThing most of the time; but the DOCK some of the time-- and one thing I want in the center is System Preferences - OK, got it; but the other is the FINDER - and that seems stuck on the far left - I can't move it nor can I put anything left of it (they just go up in a puff of smoke...)
Anyone know how to put the FINDER ICON in the DOCK in the middle-- or anyplace rather than far left (on a dock which is on the bottom of the screen)>

Kappy-- great to hear from you again! Well you're right-- but I did put the FINDER in the center of the Dock -- by sliding Finder.app from the CoreServices folder into the DOCK. OK but I don't get the nice "RELAUNCH" choice with opt-click&hold that I do with the OFFICIAL DOCK FINDER ICON stuck on the far left!
If ever a way to put this right in the middle next to where I keep System Preferences-- GREAT!

Acrobat Reader can't open PDF file downloaded from the internet

I downloaded the following pdf file from the internet and saved it to the desktop. When I tried to open the file I got a message saying Acrobat couldn't open it. I do not have trouble opening other PDF files. There is something about opening certain PDF files from the internet that is causing this. Is there a setting in the PDF preferences that is causing this or some security setting.

It seems that Safari is unable to export the document as a PDF because the exported file was zero bytes. That's why I couldn't open it. I tried Firefox and did a File>Save. It saved the file as a PDF which I was able to open. So proglem solved.

Printing from Acrobat Reader Linux is many time slower than from Windows Reader

The users are complaining to me that same file is printing one page every couple minute under Linux, while under Windows pages from the same file print one after another very quickly.
Hardware is not affecting that as they are using dual-boot Fedora 14 and XP on the same machines, printing to the same HP LaserJet printer over JetDirect.

Also, I am noticing that scrolling page thumbnails and flipping pages is many times slower under Linux than under Windows on the same machine, but CPU utilization is very low.
Can one of the Linux Acrobat developers look into performance issues please?

Acrobat Reader X no longer allows search highlights from an external highlight server.

Why did Adobe kill this feature? This really kills my use of dtSearch on my website. Does anyone have a work around or another product as good as dtsearch? This really stinks!!!!

Launch File warning: how to prevent from appear

Using Acrobat X I've inserted a link to open a file. When I try open the link, however, I get the following warning:
Could you suggest me to prevent it to appear from the very beginning please?
Maybe I should sign my PDF file somehow?

After a the PO qty is fully received and fully invoiced, how come the system lets me change the PO qty afterwards and a Message (email) is processed and sent (with Changes to qty) to the vendor?
Is there a config that will block the PO qty being changed after the PO qty is fully received and fully invoiced?
What about a PO for Indirect procurement (without Material Master) for office supplies? Since there's is NO goods receipt, can the PO qty be blocked for changes after the PO is fully invoiced?
How to achieve the block to changes to PO qty/prices...etc after GR and/or IR?

You can grey out the quantity field and u can ask the users to have a PR mandatory and the Qty can flow from PR.
OR
You can define a Release stratergy that once the PO is released you cannot change the PO at any cost. this is controlled with the help of the indicators defined in the release stratergy.

How to get rid of Acrobat reader (completely)?

it's somewhat a stupid question. I got tired of Acrobat reader on x86-64 and decided I would go for the available software on Arch. I uninstalled my bin32-acroread package through yaourt, but after that I still have the option set by default all around my system to open pdf files with Acrobat Reader... How do I get rid of this?

You should set an another application for opening application/pdf files. For example
xdg-mime query default application/pdf
will probably return AdobeReader.desktop as a result which means that application/pdf mimetypes are assigned to Adobe Reader. If you want to change it to evince, for example, you should do something like
xdg-mime default evince.desktop application/pdf
If you do not want evince then you should check for your desired application desktop file under /usr/share/applications.

After installing Acrobat/Reader on Windows 7 or Vista, icons of all applications/file-types change to Acrobat/Reader icon and double clicking on any icon/file launches Acrobat/Reader (instead of the native application associated to the file type). Is there an easy fix for this problem?

I'm sorry, but I wasn't aware of a native PDF viewer for Windows.
Nonetheless, if you want to change your default PDF application in Windows, you need to right click on any .PDF file, select "Properties",
then "Change",
then select the program you want to open a PDF with.

Acrobat Reader crashing alot

Hello,
My Acrobat Reader crashes frequently. I've uninstalled it, confirmed my system exceeds the system requirements, and installed it again. When it crashes, I receive an error message about something called Data Execution Prevention (DEP). Does anyone know if Adobe has a DEP-compatible version of Acrobat Reader X? Or how I can ask Adobe directly? Has anyone experienced similar issues? Do you have any other light to shine?

Operating system: Windows Vista Home Premium (copyright 2007, Service Pack 2)
When it crashes, the message is "Adobe Reader has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
The next one is: Adobe Reader was closed.
Then, a longer message comes up near the program icon at the bottom strip across my window, about the Data Execution Prevention (DEP) -- it is one of those that is only there fleetingly, and I cannot copy it down in time before it disappears. However it contains a link to an FAQ about Data Execution Prevention (DEP).
I gather that Windows feels obligated to close the program for one of two reasons: either security has been breeched (I ruled that out) OR there's an issue with how/what part of my system's memory is being accessed.
