Annoying alphabetisation of Music on E50

Hi everyone - new to these boards.
Can somebody tell me why, after I have transferred an album of music to my E50, it very annoyingly decides to put the songs in alphabetical order? this means that albums have all the tracks in the wrong order - esp annoying when listening to mixed dance albums as the continuity of the album is lost and all the mixes are a mess. I cant believe that this is an issue nokia havent thought of.....is it?
Is there anyway to transfer an album to the phone and have the tracks stay in the same order as they are on that album?? i hope so as nokia's music manager/player gets a huge thumbs down from me.
cheers for any help.

Also, are your music files tagged properly? Including the song numbers?
If you find my post helpful please click the green star on the left under the avatar. Thanks.

  • X-fi xtrememusic showing up as emulated (plus annoying hissing with music and gam

My x-fi has recently started to exhibit an annoying hissing while playing music (though strangely not with WMP) and in games. I usually use foobar 2000 for music, and I can escape the hissing with the kernel streaming plugin. As kernel streaming works I'm led to believe that it's not a hardware problem, but I'm not sure that it's driver related because my integrated audio produces the same hissing. Both show up as "emulated" in dxdiag and in foobar's output devices selection window. The only recent hardware-related thing I have done is remove a modem driver (it was physically removed long ago) because the modem kept showing up as a sound device in foobar (noted as "emulated" ).
This is what foobar shows me (the dedicated sound device is my x-fi): http://img55.imageshack.us/img55/596/emulatedxfidm5.png
Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

Uninstalling and cleaning then reinstalling the drivers did nothing. It still shows up as emulated and I still get the audio issues. Disabling audio acceleration does nothing either.
After scouring these forums, I came across this post that seems to mirror what I have done: http://forums.creative.com/creativel....id=2607#M2607
I removed a modem a long time ago to free up pci slots, but the driver never got uninstalled until last Wednesday, which is when this problem started.... I'll see if I can find the modem and hope for the best.
YES!!!!! Reinstalling the modem and settling its hardware acceleration to full fixed everything!

  • How to turn off annoying ad sound/music on firefox whenever I open a website

Hello I was hoping that I could get help with ad music that play whenever I open a new webside. It happens if I want to open a new website after being on the previous website after about a minute. I identify the source, I believe thanks to internet download manager at: http://newlotto.pch.com/images/games/113/201408_progressive_daytime_package/sounds/lc_corkpop.mp3. I am no longer subscribed to publishers clearing house btw and I tried many solutions here such as the adblock and I did the trick, "about:config" & "plugins.click_to_play" And I also did an Anti-Malware scan with no such luck. The good new - if you can call it that is that it only happens whenever I used firefox and not my other browsers.
I hope I cane get a solution to this.
    Thanks!

Thanks, neosp. By resetting firefox, it was enough to get rid of that sound/music. I wish I thought of that sooner. Thanks for replying as well, cor-el. I will keep that in mind.
I'm so glad I came here.
    Thanks!

  • Yoga Tablet 10" - update to Android 4.4 and further problems with Google Music

    Hi everyone.
I've just upadated my Yoga Tablet 10" to Android 4.4. Whole process went smoothly but afterwards I'm experiencing some problems with Google Music. Playback is "skippy" or "choppy", even if whole song is downloaded. Every 15-25 seconds there small pause, which is quite annoying.
Local music files (uploaded through usb) seem to work just fine.
I've even tried resetting whole device to factory settings but without any success.
I also have an impression that youtube playback is not so smooth as it used to be in Android 4.2...
Has anyone experienced something similar? Any hints or sollutions?

  • Music playback starts 5 secs in.

Since i've upgraded to 3.0 i've had a really annoying problem in Music mode.
When i'm skipping to the next track, tracks will often start 3-10 seconds in, which as you can imagine is really annoying, because if I then want to listen to that track I have to scrub it backwards.
My iPod is awful for playing music on now, ironic.

I have the same problem. It seems that it remembers where you left off when you stopped listening to a song.
When you listen again to thack track, it will take you to wher you left off.
I can't figure out how to turn that off. It is quite annoying.

  • Music App: Playlist name doesn't display under folder

I believe I have found a small but annoying bug in Music App.  I have my playlists organized into folders in itunes.  After sync'ing playlists in those folders to my iphone 6 (ios 8.1), when you select the folder, and then a playlist, instead of showing the playlist name at the top of the screen, it repeats the folder name.   For example, I have the folder "Smart" that I have my smart playlists in, when I choose a playlist in that folder this is what I see:
Instead of showing the playlist name "Random Hard Rock" it repeats the folder name "Smart".

hey i got the same problem on my iphone 5 since i updated to 8.1 what's wrong with this update ?

  • Misplaced Music?

The past few weeks, every time I sync my iPod to my Mac, songs disappear from my library--so weird! The songs are still on my Nano, but iTunes mysteriously "can't locate" many different music files, and many of these are songs I just bought recently from iTunes! When I do a search on the harddrive, most of them are found and then iTunes "recognizes" them, but it's very, very annoying to have music suddenly go missing. Please help!

  • Ipod shuffle...able to share music?

Hey...I don't know if I fully understand this...
Have a laptop with an itunes account.
    Own an ipod mini.
Someone else using this laptop wants a shuffle to have their own music.
Can you have an ipod mini and shuffle co-exist using this laptop?
If so can they share an account?
If they can both use the laptop, but can't share an account, can you have two separate accounts using the same laptop? Can you then just unplug the mini to shuffle, use its account get your music and when done, sign out, unplug, and then plug in your mini open the other account and use it as usual?

    Hi!
Having two or more iPods on the same computer is ok. But there's a little downside... iTunes removes (updates) music that it doesn't have in its library.
Let me put it this way.
    Me - A
    My Friend - B
    1. B asks to link his iPod to A's iTunes library.
    2. A agrees and clicks yes to link to current iTunes library.
    3. iTunes scans B's iPod. It sees that there aren't any music on the iPod that exist on its library. Without warning, iTunes "updates" the Shuffle.
    4. B gets annoyed, all the music in his 1G shuffle disappears. So he copies music from A, then brings his iPod home.
    5. Upon plugging B's iPod in, iTunes automatically starts and "updates" the iPod. B yanks his hair off.
that said, if you're a windows user, I suggest you use winamp5 and mlipod... you can select the option for winamp not to update your iPod. And, you can copy whatever music you want from the iPod to your hard disk.

  • ITunes - music not loading to iPhone5c

My new iPhone is syncing to iTunes on my Asus TaiChi but the music is not loading to the phone.  HELP!  So annoying having no music on my phone

Thank you - but I managed to solve the problem after my post.  It seems that the 'iPhone Device' button (top right) wasn't working properly (?!?), but after restarting my computer it would then allow me to click on it and open the device... I then went into the summary and clicked to "SYNC MUSIC" - YAY I have tunes!

  • Turning off music in iChat theater photo presentation

Can anybody please tell me how to turn off the annoying and unnecessary music when showing a slideshow using iChat theater?
    Thanks

    Go to iPhoto.
    iLife 08 version
When you have a Slide show created already you can select the Music Option that produces a drop down and at the very top of this is a Check box for Play Music.
When I go to iPhoto as I have a Slide Show already there is a Play button under the left hand menu items.
This brings up the same Preferences and selection window for the music (from the tab)
iChat opens iPhoto and the Play button can then be used although the Share stops and has to be restarted after the Music setting has been made.
In earlier iPhoto it seems there is a Slideshow icon for the setting access.
So either do it before your start or after the connection and restart the share.

  • Moving photos or music to SD card Lumia 820

    I own a lumia 820 and recently bought a SanDisk 32GB Class4 SD card.
I tried to move all the photos from phone memory to SD Card memory as described below:
    1. Inserted new SD card
    2. Selected all photos from 'Camera Roll' and choose 'save to SD Card'
    3. After the copying is finished, i see a new album created with all the photos i chose to copy in step 2 with album name 'Date when i copied them'.
    4. I selected and deleted all the files from 'Camera Roll' album.
    5. After 1hr or so, i see that new album created on SD card has multiple copies of same photo. This was seen for few photos and not for all photos in the album.
    6. I manually selected duplicate copies of the photos and deleted.
    7. After few hours i see that original photos in new album are not seen. These lost photos are the same photos which i thought were duplicate(as seen in album) and deleted as mentioned in step 6.
Coz of this i have lost many photos and i cannot get those moments back.
Mean while i had also copied all the music files from phone memory to SD card memory similar way.
I see duplicate music files for half of my music collection. I am not willing to delete these duplicate files which will lead to deletion of original file.
I see that number of duplicate copies of same music files increased, ex; i see 28 duplicates for s same music file. this is annoying and makes music browsing an irritation.
Does anyone face this issue, have found any solution, did Nokia has acknolwedged such bugs.
Since i have a old macbook from 2008, i cannot connect my lumia 820 to my laptop. So backup is not a primary solution for me.
Any suggestion or help is most appreciated.

Hello, I have a Lumia 620 and I had same problem with contacts and I've found out that they were sync to Windows Live which keeps in memory even what you have deleted, so pratically you're not deleting anything on the server but you can actually restore anything of what you think had be permanently ereased!!!! I didn't try to move pictures from the phone to the SD card, I do it with the computer and it works no problems. Are you sure it's not messing up with the sync? Probably I'm not of great help...anyway

  • How do I stop my iPhone from auto-syncing...?!?!

First off, I realise this is to do with my iPhone, but I feel it's definitely an iTunes problem.
Secondly, excuse the multiple question-marks and exclamation-marks in the title, but my frustration know no bounds on this, because I am seemingly doing everything correctly, yet still iTunes persists in tormenting me.
    And now, the problem:
I have my iPhone set to NOT automatically sync when I plug it in. The checkbox is unchecked. In fact, I have even gone one step further and checked the box in the Preferences which says "Disable automatic syncing" so that when I plug my iPhone in and it shows up in iTunes, the option in the main window to "Automatically sync" is actually greyed out.
However, every time without fail, when I plug my iPhone into my computer and iTunes is running, the screen on my iPhone will change to the standard syncing screen, saying "Sync in progress. Slide to cancel", etc.
But if I leave it like that and look in my iTunes window, nothing is happening. Nothing's syncing. But the screen on my phone says it is. And I can't do anything with it, so I have to do the "slide to cancel" process to get my phone screen back.
However, when I then launch the iPod app on the iPhone and try to access my music, I'm greeted with a message which says either "Cancelling sync" (which is bizarre because I cancelled it already and opened my iPod app, right?) or "Updating library - this may take a few minutes"...
And I wait and wait and wait, and the message stays there, and I can't access my music.
The only way to regain access to my music is to either unplug my iPhone from the computer, or to just go ahead and do a sync via iTunes, and then wait for it to complete a genuine sync, rather than this phantom sync.
I like to listen to my music while I'm at my computer not through iTunes on my computer but through my iPhone instead, and I like to have it plugged in to keep the battery charged.
So, as you might imagine, it gets a little frustrating because every time I plug it in, I can't listen to my music!!
I have to sync my phone quite unnecessarily in order to do so, and it's frustratingly annoying, especially considering I have deliberately unchecked the options which would normally do this process.
And if I'm already in the process of listening to some music when I decide to plug my iPhone in to top the battery up, then it's even more annoying, because my music stops playing and I "lose my place" as it were, and after the sync is done, I have to go back and find the music I was listening to, and find the song, etc.
Any help anyone? I've checked boxes, unchecked boxes, deleted prefs, re-started, etc. All to no avail.
I'm running the latest iPhone OS 3.0 on an iPhone 3GS, and using iTunes 8.2 under Mac OS X 10.5.6.

Thanks for the response gakker, but I've double-checked the camera / iPhoto / Image Capture scenario, and I'm 100% positive it's got nothing to do with that.
Plugging in my iPhone has no effect on anything related to this.
The other thing I should have mentioned is that when iTunes on my Mac is NOT running, then nothing happens on my iPhone screen when I plug it in to my Mac. I only get the "Sync in progress" message when iTunes IS running.
It's interesting though that you say you also get this "Sync in progress" message, albeit only for a second or two though.
Can I just double-check something with you however... When you say:
+"at no time was my iTunes playback interrupted"+
do you mean the iTunes on your Mac? Because the problem I have is that the iPod-playback on my iPhone is interrupted.
So can you clarify that for me, please? If you have music playing on your iPhone, and you then plug your iPhone into your Mac when iTunes is running on your Mac, does the music playback on the iPhone get interrupted?

  • Carrier issues, Iphone 3gs: Carrier is in the carrier list but does not connect = no service

Right introduction, I live in the country signal for iphones under 02 in my area is 3-4 bars of GPRS signal. This is plenty to make and receive calls, texts and all that as use home wifi for internet simple. Everything working fine for about a year of having the phone, then did updates and started to see the "no service"  almost all the time and had to place my iphone in a signal spot just to get 1-2 bars and couldn't touch it without dropping out! Basically I could not use it at all and the crap about the signal now showing true signal is rubbish as before i could make calls fine and no drops, but now due to "no service" i can't make any calls or texts or anything. I have a ipod touch when nothing HAS CHANGED other than i can think when the update to 4.0 came along! I have been living with this for almost a year. I have done every possible solution, apple stores, 02 stores, new sim cards (many), every type of phone resetting possible, manually turning off 3g and other settings to turning everything off bar just basic GPRS signal. Network resets everything possible no joy what so ever.
I have been paying for a year now for a phone that i can't use anywhere other than right next to a signal tower! Yes the phone connects to GPRS, EDGE, 3G when in town but just about. Before these problems i could get max 3G signal in my local town no issues but now struggle to get 1 bar of 3g in a town as well. The problem is I used to be able to use my phone as a phone where i needed to use the phone. Now i can't use the phone anywhere and get drop calls all the time when i do manage to get signal!!!!!!!
Now i can't even connect to 02, yet at home under a manual carrier search all UK networks appear on the list including 02, I click on 02 and it comes up with the warning "network lost see settings" So my phone CAN find signal but does not connect to 02. This has been the case for a long time now and as stated before several sim cards latter and plenty of trips to apple and changes of phone make NO difference which makes me believe this is a software issue on apple's part. I only started getting these issues when the iphone 4 came out and updated the ios. Now what can i do, i can not downgrade the ios as i never jailbreaked my phone so don't have the files stored that i should to be able downgrade. Apple are offering 0 help with this, all i want to do is smash it to bits as it no longer works as a phone. I have to use a 10 year old nokia to call and actually use my contract that I PAY FOR. I PAID FOR MY PHONE and just after the warranty runs out as well and it seems all a software problem.
I have searched all over the net to find no solutions to my problems this is a last resort before i do actually smash the thing and I love apple to bits but come on a simple software issue.
I mean isn't it silly that i can't downgrade my ios and that apple don't support this and yet my issue seems to lie in there update.
I know that the signal update reworked the algorithm to show true signal XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX um no it doesn't as now i have 0 signal as before i had no problems what so ever with dropping calls and the signal showing right so WHY WHY WHY.
Please help I am so frustrated with things and need to solve this issue. Please ask anymore questions if you want more details about anything, i need to sort this out please.
By the way i am running ios 4.3.3 yet bellow in the options this is not stated?? I have been updating hoping that it gets solved but only seems to get worse the more i update.
    Thanks
    James
