Annoying and dangerous "Autofill" bar in iTunes 8.2
Is there any way to disable/hide the annoying "Autofill from" bar in iTunes 8.2? I accidentally clicked on it and ended up filling my iPod Touch with over 1,000 songs from the song library on my Mac I didn't really want there. I than had to manually delete them in order to be able to add ANYTHING to the iPod. Yes, I later discovered that you can set the limits to the autofill function, but how about adding the ability to TURN OFF it this annoying "feature"?
You can be as careful as you like, but there really shouldn't be a big "screw stuff up" button.
Mostly, I want the vertical screen space back. I'll never use autofill and really don't want to see it all the time.
There's probably a hidden setting to shut it off but I'm not sure how you find those.

hey iphone an iphone 3g and i only have about 13 apps and the yellow bar on itunes for my phone is way to big i deleted all my photos all my music every thing i ryed restoring ans all it still takes up space for sum reason ?? please someone help me
If Other (the yellow bar) is too big something is corrupted. The only solution (that I know of) is to restore from your most recent backup using iTunes (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766).

I can't get any sound from my ITunes library. The IMac is set to internal speakers, the volume bar on ITunes itself is all the way to the right, there seems to be no problem with the speakers themselves (they play sound from internet videos, for example), but I can't play music from the ITunes library on the IMac. Please help!
Is it possible that you have iTunes set to send audio through AirPlay to an AirPort Express, Apple TV, or other AirPlay device (which is itself not turned up so you can hear it)?

In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.

Images and scroll bar in Itunes bright green
Does anyone know how to fix this issue and have the display look normal. A screenshot is below.
Some details: the monitor is set to display 32bit color and the screen reslution isn't the problem.
-ThanksI recently got iTunes 11, and the scroll bar issue is not in Preferences > General in this version.
I really hate this new itunes. The main issues I'd like to see are the scroll bar to be permanently visible. The second issue is when I have large playlists and I switch between them, the old itunes would always know which place in the playlist was highlighted. This new version always brings me back to the top of the playlist. And this is true also with the main library. When I am going through 4,000+ songs, it makes no sense for there to be no convenient way to save the place in the library I am working on while still allowing me to navigate other parts of the sidebar.
Even though this seems fairly elementary to me, I haven't really had much luck finding other people who are having these issues, and your answer was the closest one I'd found. -
I updated iTunes to 11 and now I am unable to delete anything!! Very annoyed and I hate iTunes updates anymore. It shows a cloud with an arrow for me to download and I dont want to download the items..I already have them! How can I delete this garbage??
I have the same problem. It's showing old podcasts that are available for download and I already watched and I don't want to see them again and I don't want them listed in my iTunes. This latest upgrade is a piece of junk so far. It destroyed my itunes podcast listing on my Windows Machine. I have no intentions of upgrading to iOS7 or my Mac until I hear that things are fixed.

My iPhone 4 says it has 15 GB of "Other" in the storage bar in iTunes. What is it and how do I get rid of it?
In my case, this must be me. My iPhone has a bug - it's not any of the other things that are considered "other". It's just an issue. I've researched for over an hour, reduced every settings imagineable (Other doesn't go down - in fact, it goes up, almost like, because I freed up space, it wants to fill in the remaining space). I called Apple - after one hour of being inadvertently hung up on twice (they took my number to call me back in case disconnected and never did - amazing) and then talking to another 3 reps, they just "guessed" which I find offensive to my time - just say "I don't know but if you are willing to take a chance, here's a thought..." rather than not be able to say "I don't know". Warning: Resets DO NOT solve this problem unless you do a clean wipe out and start from scratch (w/o restoring your stuff). Two hours later, I've resolved to wipe out my phone.

i cannot sync music with my ipod touch 4th gen.when i click on sync, nothing happens and the audio capacity bar on itunes disappears.i'm using microsoft windows 8 consumer preview
You can only sync with one computer. I would backup to one computer and then restore from backup.

No sound. Mute is not checked, volume all the way up on iTunes and on status bar. What am I doing wrong or missing? I restarted last night and it worked before that but not since, any one have any ideas?
Thanks, RobFirst off did you go to System Preferences > Sound > Output > And is the correct output selected?
Any red light coming out of the headphone jack? If so, you'll need to re-set the little switch in there by inserting a 3.5mm jack carefully in & out 20 odd times. Or grab a toothpick (non-conductive) and a flashlight.
Tried anything else that produces a sound? On restart do you get the chime? Perhaps check into Audio Midi Setup to ensure your output is selected correctly using the cog at the bottom left. -
I tried to update the latest version for the iPod touch and it couldn't complete the install. my iPod screen had the apple icon with the progression bar when it couldn't update and it stuck there. iTunes doesn't recognize my device.
How do I restore, if iTunes doesn't see my iPod?Plug your device into iTunes. Hold the home & sleep buttons at the same time. After 10 secs release the 2 buttons. iTunes will tell you it's found a device in DFU mode. The iPod screen will stay black. At this point do a restore. If you see the Apple logo you have held them for too long.

When attempting to install ios5 on my iPod touch , iTunes starts to backup but doesn't get anywhere and the progress bar just keeps going from left to right, any ideas please as to what I can do? Thanks
Try resetting the iPod while it is connected to your computer.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Then try again.
If that didn't help, try restarting the AMDS > iPod touch: How to restart the Apple Mobile Device Service (AMDS) on Windows -
Whenever I am syncing my iPhone 4 (with iOS 6.1.3) via cable with iTunes, I have to jiggle the cable to get it to connect with iTunes. Also, whenever I'm listening to any kind of sound, sometimes the sound just drops out and the volume bar disappears.
I asked an Apple tech in the store, and he told me to restore the phone and set up as new phone. I have done this with no success. Any suggestionsiPhone charging port is faulty or dirty. Clean charging port with clean toothbrush and small amount of Isopropyl Alcohol.
