Annoying BT drop down window!!!!

Can anyone help with a persistent and annoying BT drop down window!
I keep getting this drop down window saying we have detected a problem with you broadband/email, do you want us to fix or ignore! With the fault type as - 0K 800 CCCOF - but when I first starting clicking on the fix button, it goes to the BT broadband desktop help, checks my email program and low and behold comes back with the result 'we can find nothing wrong and all is well' I have now consequently just been clicking the 'ignore' button as it's a pain in the neck the time it takes just to tell me there is nothing wrong!!!
Please someone tell me how I can get rid of this thing, by the way my email is Outlook!

If you do a search for Deskttop help on the forums you will find a lot of people with problems, and the advice generally is to "Uninstall desktop help". As you have found out, it can be NO help at all.
If you still wish to use it, then please say so and I am sure that someone on the forums will come along and try and assist you.

You should be able to set the browser's settings to choose a certificate
automatically; however, the browser you may be using could be out of
date, and perhaps it does not have a current certificate available to it.
Is your computer running OS X 10.4.11 (tiger) or OS X 10.5.8 (leopard)?
One of your recent posts is in the Tiger discussion area, and the other
in a Leopard discussion area; both appear to point to the same iBook G4.
There should be no need to block the window; just have the browser
choose a current certificate, automatically. And/or update old browsers.
If you have a recent browser version (Camino 2.0.7, Firefox 3.6.16, etc)
there should be a current certificate; be sure to set a browser preference
to select one automatically, it should choose one that's not expired. You
may also delete expired certificates, since their dates are visible to read.

Print Button on Drop-Down window

Hello,
our internal customer wants to be able to print topics from a
drop-down window.
This worked well with "RoboHelp for Word" and WinHelp output,
but I fail to add the same functionality in a "Robohelp for HTML"
(R 7) project with HTML Help (CHM) output. In fact the
functionality seems to work (Topic is printed correctly), but in
the window I immediately get a browser message that the content
cannot be diplayed (topic disappears). The same is true for the
"Copy" function (content is copied to windows clipboard but error
message appears in the window). For the "Close" function the HTML
help is minimized to the bottom tray. I added the following snippet

HHCTRL does not seem to be know object in my project.
The problem is not connected with the topic content. I
created a test project from scratch with just two topics and the
snippet in it: Same problem. The error page has the following

How can I get the drop down window for a ID and P/W "Always remember" Auto Fill

Recently I had a mail issue with my ATT (Yahoo) Mail account and they temporarily changed by Password.
After the issue was resolved I changed it back but the auto fill kept the temporary Password in Safari when I log onto my e-mail account via the internet instead of the Apple Mail program.
In the Past, whenever I would put a different P/W or ID there would be a drop down window that said :
Never, later or Always remember", at least something like that terminology.
Since I have had no reason to change P/W or ID lately I do ot know if it is Lion issue or if there is a way of getting the drop down to appear.

I am a new Indesign user and a Creative Cloud member. I was using the Window/Pages drop down window to view my pages alphabetically or by page number and also to determine whether or not my JPEG files were sufficiently HI-Res for the printer. I don't know how I did it but somehow the window has changed so that now it does not have the alphabetical/numerical/Hi-Res information. It just shows the pages in a two page spread in numerical order. How can I restore the window so that I will be able to view the information as I did previously.

The pages panel is not the place where you see this information. You can customize the Links panel to show all sorts of things, including the page number, effective and actual ppi, and whether the link is OK or needs updating.

Export the file using "Current Settings" and enable "self contained".
Once the export is complete, open up Compressor, drop in your file, select the desired output settings and turn Compressor loose. If you have set up a Quick Cluster and have a multi core Mac, Compressor will use all available cores. It will be a faster process.

It seems that old logic files where it was previously loaded still have the plug in live, but on a new project file it simply isn't there to select and activate.

Not sure about your issue. What did you update from and to? Is ARC still in the plugins/components folder?
I'm an ARC user too. I have it plugged in to Audio Hijack Pro which is set to hijack audio from Logic. This way ARC is after logic and you don't have to remember to bypass the plugin before you bounce.

Photos are in iPhoto and are not in the drop down window to export in LC, only photos in drop down window

The drop down window in the LC to export photos from, only has Library and Applications. My MacBook Pro has my pictures in iPhoto and iCloud which are not available in the LC export drop down window. How do I get all my iPhoto pictures exported to the LC app?

Many of my System Preferences will no longer work after installing Mountain Lion. Software update, startup disk, iCloud, etc. no longer will launch. I keep getting a drop down window saying I must restart system preferences in order to use. No go!

Software Update, Startup Disk, iCloud, Time Machine, Notifications, etc. no longer will launch even though they do show their icons in the system preferences window. I keep getting a drop down window saying I must restart system preferences in order to use with a "Cancel" or "OK" choice. After I click on "OK" the window just keeps reappearing with the same choices and the pane I wish to use still remains inoperative. Third party preference panes DO work.
Reinstalling OSX Mountain Lion did not help. Neither did throwing away preferences.plist.

Tried to reply with my iPhone but not easy! Anyway, back on the laptop now. Yes the crash was bad but Tek support at Prism Sound was really good. In the end I rebuilt the whole system on a new disk which took a couple of days with all the plugins, softsynths etc.... but there seemed to be no alternative in my case, and this was agreed with Prism sound as being the only alternative left to me. I still don't really know what caused the crash but ML and Orpheus are both working fine now. Let's face it, you'll have to update at sometime..maybe best to pick some time between projects On balance, I suspect that my problems were unique to my system and that your installation will go ok.

Deleting addresses from New Message drop-down window

Hello all,
When I create a New Message in Mail, the FROM drop down menu contains several outdated addresses that I want to delete. How do I do this?
I am not asking how to delete previous recipient addresses from the TO window. I know how to do that.
Also, I have already deleted all traces of the old addresses from Accounts. Yet they stubbornly stay in the my drop down choices as accounts to send email FROM (ones which don't work).

As far as removing sites you have been to and you don't want listed. perform the following steps
1. Close out of all your Tabbed pages.
2. Visit any site except the one you have bookmarked or don't want listed.
3. Go to Settings - Safari -Clear History, Cookies, and Cache, Repeat one more time for good measure.
4. Now launch Safari, It should not remember any of those sites you visited or searched for. And now you can browse freely. This needs to be repeated anytime you want to erase data search history.
