Annoying bugs in Lion, How to fix?

I have some bugs in lion which i think to share and find solution since it can be usefull for all...
so 3 of them are:
- when i'm using another desktop and i'm navigating between them, sometimes i get stuck in one desktop without possibility to navigate back, and even when i'm using cmd+tab / or any other keyboard shortcuts, i get no respond. I mean - no access as well for the dashboard, mission control, the dock, launchpad, show desktop gesture, any trackpad gesture as well.. anything from the new stuff in lion.. just the finder. must restart.
- sometimes the hot corners stop to respond.
- i'm arranging the launchpad apps in folders and in some arrange which is comfort for me to use, after restart, it get mess a bit and need to re arrange. confusing.
well.. that's what i mostly remember now..
I really hope some of you have a solution how to fix it..

Accidentally I managed to drag some photos from Aperture into Mail with both apps running in full screen mode. It is not quite straight forward and it took sometime for me to figure it out. I don't know what is wrong but I'm sure Apple can fix this with an update in future. I could now drag pictures from Safari, photos from Aperture with ease. I have included some screen shots which could help you guys understand better. At present I must agree P@nt@ni solution seem to be better for this problem. Ensure that you enable 3 finger drag in system preferences (under trackpad) as 1 finger drag didn't work for me in this method.
By mistake I gave myself "correct answer" credit, doesn't anyone how to remove it, please

Annoying sound when typing - How to fix it!

As delivered, the Powerbooks make annoying sounds for each keypress when you're typing. This is actually a twofold problem, so you may have to do two things to fix it.
1. If your Book is running a non-English version of the OS, each keypress will cause audible harddrive head motion. This is caused by some bug that actually prints two error messages to a certain system log file for each and every keypress!!! This is fixed by (a) enabling the root user (using the NetInfo Manager utility), and (b) setting the keyboard layout for the root user to 'U.S.' (not 'U.S. extended'). This MAY have been fixed by a system update by now (I haven't checked), but if it hasn't, you'll know what to do!
2. There is also a chirping sound for each keypress. This must be caused by poor logic board design, since it ocurs whenever there is a power surge from the processor. The fix is to disable processor 'nap', something that unfortunately must be done after each reboot. To do this, you must install the Processor PreferencePane, which can be found in the CHUD tools dowloadable from Apple's developer site. The Processor PrefPane is in there somewhere in the CHUD files, but you have to dig around **inside** the packages to find it! Once you do, drop it in Library/Preference Panes and find it in System Preferences. Disable 'nap' and you're done, until you reboot anyway.
Finally, you can type without annoyance!

Try Going to the Device setting of your touchpad,
Go to Control Panel > Hardware and sound / Mouse
Under mouse properties, on top the last tab should be the settings tab of your touchpad it's either Synaptics or Elan,
click the device on the list then click on settings.

Now you will have the device settings interface
try looking for two option,
One is sensitivity Try reducing it,
and the other will be Palm Check Move the bar and check works for you.
You can also try downloading a driver from synaptics http://www.synaptics.com/resources/drivers
see if that works. make sure to un-install the old one first before installing a new one.

Anyone had this bug before / know how to fix it?

Hi,
After wacthing a video for a while, my screen usually goes like this :
This usually happens after a few minutes, but it happens a lot faster when I watch at 720p compared to 360p.
I even tried formatting my pc to resolve this issue, but that didn't work.
Does anyone know what might help?
I'm running windows 7 ultimate - 64 bit, and my flash player version is 10,3,183,7

This is Ravindra Jassal from Mumbai, India. I had the similar problem and SOLVED IT !!! by taking following steps:
1) Installed latest version of Firefox.
2) Opened a youtube video IN FIREFOX and played the video in NORMAL MODE (not Fullscreen mode)
& paused it after 5 seconds.
3) Then I went to the DESKTOP & right clicked on SCREEN to see SWITCHABLE GRAPHICS mode.
4) I clicked on it & I saw PLUGINS HOLDER set to HIGH PERFORMANCE mode.
5) I clicked on HIGH PERFORMANCE mode to change it to POWER SAVING MODE. Then clicked Apply.
And voila, all my problems with Flash Player got solved.
Flash Player started working fine BOTH in IE9 & FIREFOX.
I assure you, try it for once & you will get the result.
This msg is for entire Adobe Community using Accelerated Graphics Cards & having problems with Flash Player 10.3

Annoying Bugs in LR3?

Since upgrading to LR3 I've been experiencing a lot of weird and annoying things.
1. When in the Develop Module if I scroll down the list of my Collections and click on one I see the photos in that collection but the list of Collections jumps so that the currently selected one is now off screen and I have to scroll up and down to find it. This is very annoying when you have several Collections within a Collection Set and need to browse between them!
2. More alarmingly since upgrading to LR3 it has seemingly at random decided to add Noise Reduction at 100% to not only many photos that in LR2 I had only applied anywhere from 10%-80% Noise Reduction but also has randomly applied 100% Noise Reduction to photos that I hadn't applied any Noise Reduction to at all! With a catalogue containing nearly 30,000 images I now have to check every photo when I come to edit, view or export it which is especially important as LR3's Noise Reduction is much more powerful than LR2's!
3. When I upgraded to LR3 I allowed it to completely rebuild all the thumbnails etc before I did anything but yet I still find that when I view a collection for the first time since upgrading in either the Develop or Library module the thumbnails often don't load. Sometimes only the first 10 or so load othertimes none of them load in the filmstrip. In order to get them to load I have to move my mouse over them in the filmstrip which is very frustrating and slows me down a lot!
Anyone else experiencing these 'bugs' or know how to 'fix' them?

OSX 10.6.3
3GB RAM
2.33 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo

I am having problems importing from CF cards.
Mac Mini 10.6.4
When I import and re-name the images it will go through the whole routine with a progress bar but the thumbnails show up as blank with a question mark and the original filename. I then get the dialog " unable to import images 1-241" or something like that.
When I look at the destination the images are there and are re-named. I can then import them without moving but it is a pain.
Also when I import from a folder with a sub-folder, it will see the images in the sub-folder in the import box but then will say "no images found".

Having a MBPr late 2013 and having a sound problem the sound does not come tom the headphones even its all the way up and when i remove the headphones it docent come out the internal speaker either ? any idea how i fix this?

Hello. I've been able to play sound without problems through headphones or external speakers to date - the output always switched to these automatically until today. Now, sound output continues through internal speakers even if I plug in headphones or external speakers.
- I tested the headphones and speakers on other devices: they work fine.
- When I plug in headphones or speakers into the audio output port (I have verified that I'm not using the input jack) the devices are not detected and are not listed under the output tab in system preferences-sound.
I concluded from this that I probably had a problem with the audio port, so to test that I tried the following. I plugged a powered multi-USB device with ports for microphone line-in and headphone line-out into the USB port and switched it on. I verified that it was working by plugging a USB stick into the multi-USB device - this was recognised successfully, so the device was clearly working. I then plugged in headphones and speakers into the audio line-out on the multi USB device - but still no sound came through them (and tey were not listed among output devices) and the Mac continued using internal speakers.
What should I do? Does the latter test suggest that the problem does not lie with the audio port, or is my test not conclusive? What would you advise?

Annoying bug in PPR template in 2.0, and how to fix it

Hi there,
I struggled with this on and off for days before finally fixing it with the help of the firefox developer toolbar. The PPR region template in the "Business" theme has a typo in the HTML which affects the display of other regions on the same page, sometimes the other regions just don't appear where you expect them, sometimes they disappear altogether.
How to fix it:
Edit the "Standard Report (PPR)" template and go to the "After Rows" section. On about the 7th line, change the "<table>" tag to "</table>".
You can imagine the devastation missing the "/" has, it opens a new table instead of closing the old one!
It may only be the Business theme, I checked the "Underlined Tabs" theme and this is not affected.

Bug: iOS 5 and iTunes 10.5 podcast smart playlist sort order and how to fix.

There seems to be a bug in iOS 5 and iTunes 10.5 involving the sort order of a smart playlist of podcasts. I created such a playlist and sorted by release date on iTunes but I noticed it had a different sort order on the iPod Touch.
After playing around with it a bit I found that the only way to preserve the sort order that I have in iTunes on the iPod Touch is to uncheck "Live Updating" in the smart playlist.

Confirming this incredibly annoying bug. Basic list sorting not working... real bottom shelf work apple.
workaround update: limit to must be turned on, set it to an absurdly high number if you don't want to actually limit the playlist, then one of the sortby options in that submenu will work. The live update checkbox is irrelevant from experimentation.
This workaround does NOT fix the fundamental problem: sort order from itunes in smart playlists is not being synced and preserved in ios5 devices.
This is the latest in a long string of debacles which is making me seriously consider swapping to debian stable. (snow leopard to lion was a severe downgrade in performance for anyone doing heavy multitasking.. scheduling is FUBAR... when a command option escape beachballs on a brand new core 17 machine, your OS has serious problems with nice levels)

When I connect my Mac Mini 2011 with Lion to a TV via HDMI and an earphone cable is plugged in, it´s not possible to choose sound out via hdmi, as opposed to connection via minidisplay port. Anybody knows how to fix this?

The solution was as follows for me anyway...
Go to your Finder
Choose the Go Menu
Choose Computer
Choose your Macintosh Hard Drive
Choose your "Library" Folder
Choose the "Preferences" Folder
There should be a folder called "Audio"
Move that whole folder to the trash
Empty the Trash
Restart from the Apple Menu
When you are back up and running;
     Choose System Preferences from the Apple Menu
     Choose Sound
      In the output tab you should now be able to make the HDMI "Sticky"
      Enjoy your sound over HDMI and no more dirty knees or broken backs unplugging the desktop speakers!

How to fix a bug(?) in iCal/Calendar/Reminders?

The iCal/Calendar (fox OS X 8)/Reminders (OS X 8) app has this very annoying bug It's quite minor but it's quite confusing sometimes. Whenever I try to add a new event, the window that appears that will let me set the date, time, etc. always has 2011 (xx/xx/11) for the year. For example, if I want to set the event for July 29, 2012 ("07/29/12"), it still shows "07/29/11". I've been having this problem ever since I was on the iCal app on OS X Lion but now that I've just upgraded to Mountain Lion, the problem's still there with the Calendar as well as the Reminders app.
Please refer to the screenshot I included. You can see that I chose July 29, 2012 as the date for the Sample Event. But the date that shows on the "from" field is still 07/29/11. I don't know I they intended it to be like this but it is very confusing.
PS: The same goes if I add an event before 2011. If I, for example, add an event on July 29, 2010, it still shows "07/29/11".

I use a two button mouse with my Mac Book Pro. It works fine, but after installing Lion, the mouse wheel goes in reverse of what it did (rolling the wheel towards your palm goes up not down the page). Anyone know how to fix this?

If not this:
iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim
If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is usually in order.
