Annoying Flash Player Lag
Something which I have noticed as a problem in the previous and current computer which I have regarding Adobe flash. Normally, flash animations and videos are supposed to be running smoothly and fast.. but whenever I played graphics intensive games on Newgrounds like Einstein’s Manhattan Project and Larry and the Gnomes, Adobe Flash severely lags and this lag strangely… remains.
I try and watch numerous flash animations but the intense lag is still very much there and it’s bothersome to me. Now, I have tried clearing the cache to see if it would speed up Flash animations.. That doesn’t work. I also have uninstalled Firefox numerous times… That didn’t work either. I make sure my Adobe Flash is automatically updated.. that doesn’t work either. So then I uninstall and then re-install Adobe flash.. Surprisingly, that doesn’t work either. I’ve tried even disabling hardware acceleration.. Doesn’t work either.
This problem first hit my Vista (which is now long since dead as of November of 2012) when I played Einstein’s Manhattan Project on Newgrounds sometime around 2009. Now a similar problem hit me a couple of weeks ago when I was playing Larry and the Gnomes. Every few seconds, flash videos and animations would slow down and briefly lag and become choppy. And it doesn’t happen in Firefox either but Internet Explorer as well too.
Has anyone else had this problem which seems to be quite persistent and does anyone know how to fix this?
Operating System: Windows 8
Default Browser: Mozilla FireFox 23.0.1
Adobe Flash Player: Adobe Flash Player 11.8.800.94
They aren't interested in solving our problems unless we are making them money. They don't care about the users who watch videos and play games, they only care about those who will purchase their overpriced software. As long as a certain percentage of users are satisfied, they aren't going to look into making flash what it should be: Something that works. They are going to look at more ways for making money.

All the time Flashplayer lags - when I play Fruit Ninja on Facebook, my videos lag, mainly on fullscreen but sometimes it lags not on fullscreen. I'm tired of this. I have these problems since months now...

Flash Player Lag in IE 9 FF and Chrome
For some reason on all 3 of these platforms Flash Player is laggy. I can't watch any type of videos or even play any type of games that require flashplayer with out this lag. Is there a fix to this? It's getting pretty rediculous. This is a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
My system specs are
AMD Athlon II x4 630
4GB OCZ Gold RAM
500GB Hard Drive
Geforce GTX 260
This has started when I reformatted. After 3 successful reformats it still lags after installation. I do not know why. I have seen other posts for fixes but they do not work. I have even installed the beta version of flash and the lag got worse. HELP please.

Flash Player lags Firefox but doesn't when I disable Shockwave Flash Plugin
On certain websites with Flash based web players my whole of Firefox lags like crazy. I have been trying to fix this issue for a while to no avail (Tried resetting, re-installing, etc.) It mostly happens when I move my cursor over the Flash player. After I move my cursor so somewhere else on the webpage (a non-Flash part) it start flickering between the default cursor and pointer (clicking finger icon)
Now today I decide to uninstall the Flash application from my PC and reinstall it. After I uninstalled the Flash player suddenly I have no stuttering issues on Firefox anymore! But of course some other Flash related application do not work anymore.
When I re-install the Flash player it goes back to stuttering and lagging. When I disable the Flash player plugin in about:addons the stuttering is gone.
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. It has been bugging me for so long now that I have to use Chrome to visit certain websites...Hello,
Some problems with Flash video playback can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration in your Flash Player settings. (See [[Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems|this article]] for more information on using the Flash plugin in Firefox).
To disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player:
#Go to this [http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues Adobe Flash Player Help page].
#Right-click on the Flash Player logo on that page.
#Click on '''Settings''' in the context menu. The Adobe Flash Player Settings screen will open.
# Click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel. <br/> <br/>[[Image:fpSettings1.PNG]] <br/>
# Remove the check mark from '''Enable hardware acceleration'''.
# Click '''Close''' to close the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window.
# Restart Firefox.
This [http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help01.html Flash Player Help - Display Settings page] has more information on Flash Player hardware acceleration, if you're interested.
Does this solve the problem? Let us know. -
Flash player lags bad with Firefox but not with google chrome, what is the problem ?
Every time i try to play any game using flash player with Firefox i have a lot of lag time. I have to stop playing and wait for things to catch up to play to play any more,I do not have this problem with google chrome playing the same games.I have updated all add ons and plugins.
== This happened ==
Every time Firefox opened
== about a month agoEveryone can blame flash player if they want, but the truth is for me I went from an earlier version that had plugin container which created lag for me. I disabled the plugin container in about:config settings, and firefox worked fine. Plugin container screwed up any videos i tried to watch on the internet by freezing, lagging, and crashing firefox. I was fine after I disabled plugin container, but then eventually some time later down the road I received a warning that i would soon be forced to update my mozilla so I eventually/reluctantly gave in and complied. At this point the same problems started again!!! I disabled plugin container again and it did help a bit right away. But this version 12.0 even with plugin container disabled with just a few tabs open I receive choppy video (like a snapshot of the video at 3 seconds in, and then another snap at 6 seconds in) I'm only seeing snapshots of the video like every 3 seconds while the audio continues on fine. That"s how bad the lag is. This is horrible performance for a browser. If I try to load a video while one is already playing, just that little bit of stress (2 youtube videos open at once) is all it takes to crash this poor performing version of firefox. I mean I can't even close the tabs after these situations and the audio sometime runs after closing for me as well. These problems did not start until the version changes of firefox and the addition of plugin container, not flash player. I have been a loyal mozilla fan, but my patients is wearing so so thin with the performance of this browser at the moment. Unfortunately I just realized for the first time ever I actually have to (against my will) install another browser just to watch videos. How sad is that? Considering watching videos is one of the main uses of a browser, I consider this version a failure. How could I not??? I guess I have no choice but to Chrome it up. I hope a fix for this problem can be found soon for I miss the great performing days of this previously top performing browser. Fingers Crossed!!!

To whom this may concern:
1. Everytime I turn on my Laptop, at the bottom of the screen is a: Blocked Notice that says, ''this web page wants to install the Flash Player"! It gives me a choice of: 1. Allow for this site. 2. Allow for all websites. I click the X icon, to close it, because since when I installed the FLASH PLAYER, about 3 weeks ago, I experienced all kinds of MALFUNCTIONS on my computer. I then UNINSTALLED it, and since then I get this ANNOYING Box at the bottom of every page.
2. Then when after I enter some words into the Search Box, I am directed to a page that is to me, BLOCKING all of my searches! It looks like a Search page: it has abbreviations of different sites like: EBAY AMAZON and a few others.
3. When making a search on my homepage of Yahoo, I notice On the top where my Browser is: there is a small box that says: NEW TAB!!! I click on the X, to close it, then I get the page that I want.
Is there anyway of disabling this ANNOYING BOTTOM SCREEN TAB and ANNOYING BOX????http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1195540

Flash Player lags in Win 7 x64
Hello,
I'm having an issue with Flash Player on my new desktop computer because it chops up playback. I'm talking about getting 1 FPS in a Flash movie that a much older computer can easily play with 20 FPS.
I use Windows 7 Ultimate x64, Flash Player 11.0.1.152 64-bit, DirectX 11, and my graphics driver (AMD) is up to date as well.
The problem seems to be related to CPU usage and multithreading (or lack of it, thereof). While other computers in my household seem to use multiple cores for Flash playback, this one uses only the first one of its four cores, and that core gets maxed out to 100% usage while a moderately demanding Flash movie is being played. However, this computer uses all of its CPU cores for other tasks and applications, so the issue seems to be limited to Flash Player only.
So far I've tried reinstalling Flash Player, downgrading Flash Player, using 32-bit version instead of 64-bit, using different browsers, but the problem persisted in each case. I've also tried toggling harware acceleration in Flash Player's settings, but that seemed to have no effect at all on either CPU or GPU usage, not even after a restart.
At this time I'm kind of running out of ideas and I'd be grateful for any help. Thanks in advance!Nevermind, I've figured out that my processor was faulty. The problem is solved now.

Annoying Flash Player Font Problem
I have a Mac running OSX 10.5.6 and my in browser flash player is displaying a bizarre default font that is nearly unreadable. How do I change this? I've checked to see if the problem exists in both Safari and Firefox and it does.
You don't provide enough information, but my suspicion is that your system is infected with malware.

How do I turn off or eliminate the annoying flash players during internet activity or utube visits?

Flash player ~12 on windows 8.1 insane lag
got a laptop.. Dell Inspiron 3737 it has 8gb ram and a i7 4th gen cpu. (seen a few palces its mentioned that 8,1 + i7 = bad performance
while i was on windows 8 it was fine.. but since upgrading to 8.1 the flash player lags like crazy.. 1fps IF that.
most noticible playing dragon city on facebook. everything stutters and you have to click to drag and wait for the "game" to catch up. issue visible on other flash sites aswell
tried the BETA 13 release.. same problems. this is rediculous. why would it be fine on windows 8.. but not on 8,1?
to add
firefox: 28
IE: 11
chrome: latest
its "better" on chrome.. (better = playable if you have infinate patience - still terrible) but its really bad on the rest
with hardware acceleartion off it at least doesnt bring the whole browser down. tried waterfox aswell.. same resultI have a lot of grief with this version of Windows Media Player.
It is very buggy and frustrating to use.
I have my Music library on a QNAP NAS, which is as reliable as they come.
System notifications make it not save changes. It also does not do a good job of interpreting albums and artists from folders. Changes to track names are not saved, nor are tracks moved to other albums, renamed albums, changes to genre, artist
or date. It separates and merges albums/tracks without sense or reason. Some changes I've made up to 4 times, then closed WMP and re-started my machine to check if it has/hasn't saved the changes. Often it has not.
This is the first time I've used WMP in this capacity, and I do not recommend it.
New service pack please. -
Launchpad lag- adobe flash player??
1. I have installed Mavericks on MBPR running ML 10.8.5
2. Lots of issues occured including screensaver lagging, UI issues and many more even the logging window was a hybrid between ML and Mavericks, which is wiered
3. I reinstall Mavericks as a clean installation
4. Everything was fine and excellent till i install adobe flash player
5. When i install adobe flash player, again one annoying bug surfaced.
6. Launchpad was buggy, in the sence
The rubberband effect was not working
paging was semi-disabled (sometimes when i scroll with two fingers it just go by few centimeters so i hv to swipe many times to reach next page see image)
i have uninstalled the flash player. Still the problem remain same. Any solution?this problem seems to be pretty common and apparently has nothing to do with flash player. just be patient and wait until it is fixed by future updates

Hi:
Windows XP SP3 32bit, latest updates applied
Firefox 3.6.6 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6.6 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET4.0E))
IE 8.0.6001.18702
Flash Player 10,1,53,64
HP EliteBook 8530w with built-in HP camera (brand spankin' new).
So Flash Player today decided it doesn't want to work with my webcam. I have pulled my hair out trying to figure out what the problem is. The camera works fine with other video camera software, such as Adobe Flash Live Encoder 3.1, for example, or the various Microsoft cam tools. But Flash Player just won't see it. When I visit a website that uses the camera through flash, all I get is a black box. I never get the privacy screen that asks me if I would like to allow the site temporary access to my camera. If i go into my settings, and go to the camera tab, it shows my camera device in the dropdown box. But you know how if you double-click the little box under the dropdown, it should activate your camera and display a little video inside that box? That doesn't work for me. All I get is this:
It doesn't matter if I use FF or IE. I've re-installed Flash Player, both the FF version and the Ax version. To no avail. I've logged into my computer as a different user, because hell maybe it's some weird dumb thing in the Flash Player cache or something. Nope.
Now here's the super, super, super annoying part: I just recently moved to this laptop and one of the things I was looking forward to was a computer where my webcam would FINALLY work with flash player again. Yes, that's right: my old computer had this exact same problem. And in both cases, at one point the camera worked with Flash player no problem, and then at some point, it just stopped working.
This makes me think, of course, that the problem is some nefarious piece of software I've installed, but I can't think of what that is. I know the camera was working with my new computer as early as last week. Recently I've installed a bunch of software, including Adobe Media Live Encoder 3.1, Flash Professional CS5, and the Adobe Connect add-in. I've uninstalled everything except CS5, because, hey, who wants to re-install that if they don't have to? I'll do that as a last result, but the guy sitting next to me has the entire CS5 suite installed and camera works fine for him with Flash Player (same exact hardware too), so I don't think it's that. Other than that, I dunno. I've got VS2008 and 2010 installed. GoToMeeting. Office. That's about it.
So. Any ideas? Any thoughts on how I could even start to debug the issue? Logging or something? Any help is much appreciated.Yes.
Victory is mine.
VICTORY IS MINE!!!
Solution:
Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\mms.cfg
Set
AVHardwareDisable=1
to:
AVHardwareDisable=0
Restart your browser. Done. Camera works now.
I really want to shout this solution from the rooftops, because try Googling the solution sometime. I did. I failed. You will too. Hopefully if I use some more 18-point bold font, Google will index it faster, because that's the way it works right?
I actually had no idea that Flash Player has a folder in Windows\system32 at all, and I definitely had no idea that this file existed. I am guessing some stinking app I installed decided I needed AVHardwareDisable set to 1 for some reason (effers). I found out about the location by just lazily searching through the windows registry for "Flash Player" and eventually saw it pointing to that directory. A little more poking around and I found this file.
Those of you who actively support this forum: please keep this in the back of your mind, next time someone has audio/video input problems with Flash Player. I've found an awful lot of forum posts from people with cameras not working, and I bet a good portion of them need this fix. Reinstalling Flash Player will not fix it. Here's hoping the solution comes up in Google for the next unlucky soul. -
Chrome's Flash Player 11,3,31,222 is lagging
Flash Player 11,3,31,222 for Google Chrome 21.0.1180.60 is lagging a lot, especially on full screen. Already tried unlimited storage and disabling hardware acceleration. Apparently, It started happening after this last update, and only happens in Chrome.
I couldn't find the attach option, so here's my whole dxdiag:

I installed 11.4 a few days ago and still have protected mode disabled, but I didn't notice this change until Tuesday evening. The only thing different about my computer Tuesday is that I had disabled Java. (I received an email tip from Kim Komando saying Java has security flaws and should be disabled until they can be patched.) Could there be a conflict between Flash and Java, with Java causing Flash to be slightly slower? This isn't a real "problem" for me, as I thought both games were working fine prior to disabling Java; but I did notice they were even faster the last couple of days.

Flash Player Projector Lag Issues, but...
Hello,
I want to playback this online flash game through the projector :http://www.realmofthemadgod.com/
usually I play this game directly in the internet browser (firefox). But now I would like to play it directly through the Projector in the hope the game performance (frames per seconds) would increase, so the gameplay it smoother.
I have searched for the .swf url of the game, it's this one: http://www.realmofthemadgod.com/AGCLoader1322454158.swf
I loaded this url through the Flash Projector, everything works fine. But the problem is, that the flash game is running even slower than through the internet browser. The Flash Projector causes the game to lag, and the frames per second lies around ~30.
Now the strange thing is, while still running the game through the projector, i simultaneously run the game aswell in the internet browser. The strange result: Suddenly the game performance of the game in the Projector increases alot and the fps jump to 60! The game runs very smooth this way. But as soon as I close the Internet Browser, the game performance in the flash projector falls down again and is pretty laggy.
Normally, you would think that running the game in windows would of course slow the game performance down...
Also, I tried another way to run this game directly through the adobe flash player (wihtout internet browser). Therefore, I copyed and paste the .swf of the game above to this site (http://www.swf-to-exe.com/). Running the game through this exe file brings the best results: The game runs very very smooth, like i hoped to be. The problem is, the devleopers updated the game, so somehow it's not possible anymore to convert the .swe to exe through www.swf-to-exe.com.
So this is a strange issue, I dont know if its the fault of the game or the fault of the adobe flash preojector.
I hope someone got an idea to solve this problem, so the lag issues can be removed (without running the game in 2 windows simultaneously).
Thanks in Advance!MrX1980 wrote:

DSOUND.dll would not be missing in a way that installing directx would resolve it.
and it is not included in any bimonthly redistributables either.
That said, Windows Server DOES have dsound.dll available, the only things disabled on this platform is directx acceleration for graphics....... -
Why flash player is lagging in full screen on Samsung 52" smart TV?
Hello I have a Samsung Smart TV and I try to watch online stream football. All is fine until I press the full screen button. Going in full screen the quality of the picture changes and also starts lagging the stream. Latest version of flash player + latest version of chrome. Tried IE11 as well same thing. Internet connection is vie wi-fi = 150Mbps+ Any ideas?
Would you mind opening a new bug on this at bugbase.adobe.com? Please include your dxdiag report, a specific URL and a link to this forum thread.
In the meantime, you might want to try our 11.3 beta or rollback to a previous version of the player to see if that resolves the problem.
Thanks,
Chris
