Annoying notifications

i switched from verizon to tmobile and now i get a notification saying sim card is from unknown source, why?

The phone should be set in global or GSM mode. You might have to add an APN.
The device expects a Verizon SIM card not another carrier's SIM card. I doesn't really surprise me it is giving you such an error.
As for what to do with the table error, you might want to check with other T-Mobile customers on the T-Mobile forum or another forum to find out if they get a similar error and what they did to remove the error.

  • Error Code Add On annoying notification

How can I get rid of this annoying notification, popping up since two weeks. I' ve already tried what Adobe suggested.
I installed the old CS 6, I installed the add on but sit this notification is popping up after every restart.
    Error Code: -403, -411
    Compatible CC app not found.
Solution: Install a compatible Adobe application before installing Add-ons.
Once the application is installed, try installing the Add-on again. To do this, go to My Add-ons, find the add-on, and if it is already installed, first click Remove. Wait two minutes for the removal to complete, then click Install.
Here you see, that there is no "remove" button available.
    Please help
    Thanks
    Michael

    Hi
Because transition Pack 1 for CC and CC 2014 is already installed since months and this error code is a recent one (since 10days) I thought it is for CS6. So, I downloaded CS6, installed this extension with Extension Manger CS 6 and all was fine. No more error code. But I don't want to have all this CS 6 stuff on my mac just to get rid of an error code. So I deinstalled CS 6 and boom, the nice error code is back. So, I think the only solution is to remove this add-on out of my CC add-on panel. But there is no „remove“ option. Please delete this add on.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi again Michael
You say you have it installed correctly for CS6, but when I look at the compatibility for the product it is only for CC and CC2014 versions of Premiere. This means you should use only Extension Manager CC to install it if you have Premiere CC. If it is showing up in Extension Manager CS6 it is best to remove that and it should prevent the pop you are receiving.

  • Annoying notification sound - help figuring out source?

There's any annoying notification sound (sounds like "boop boop") that I consistently here while I'm logged into the network at university. I thought maybe it was a notification every time someone new joined or left the network but I've been watching as people pop up in the list in Finder and the notifications do not coincide with the appearance of people's computers in that list. I don't ever hear the noise at home, so I assume it's something to with being logged into the network at school.
I'm fairly certain it's not related to any app I have installed because I've had almost everything shut down and I still hear it.
Can anyone help me figure this out?

Hm, something seems wrong here, but I don't know what. wget ends with the same error, but downloading through FireFox works.
Honestly, I don't know what to fix or how.
Edit: after some more search I see that other also have a problem with this: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=43406 and bug report: http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/9299

  • Annoying notifications to update

Please tell me there is a way to stop these annoying notifications to update. I'll update when I am ready to do so and I do not want to be reminded of this with a window on the top right which moreover you can only get rid of for a while by opening app store and then quitting.
    Cheers, Bob.

Thanks Linc, that certainly solves the problem. However, I did not mind the regular notifications of updates like it used to be once or twice a month, what did bother me was this annoying little window that seemed to pop up every day and sometimes several times a day.
    Cheers, Bob

  • App Store showing old, outdated updates. Annoying notifications.

Two of them date back to 2009?! I've tried uninstalling the problem apps and reinstalling them, but it didn't make any difference. I've restarted my device and nothing. At first there was only one problematic app (Galaxy of Fire 2), but as time goes on more and more apps are adding to the update list on my iPad 2 - and they are all outdated updates. As of now I have FIVE pointless update notifications and it's starting to get on my nerves.
Any help would be really appreciated, thanks.

If you delete the app on the iPad and download the app DIRECTLY to the iPad from the apps store, it will always download the newest version. It sounds like you are syncing older versions from the computer with itunes. Make sure the computer/itunes's version of the app is the latest.
Have you purchased apps from more than one itunes store account? If so, only the ones from the logged in account update when you tell it to. So if you are using multiple apps store accounts, you must update apps for each store account separately.

  • Annoying notifications - how do i turn them off?

I have an N97 running firmware V 21..0.045 which keeps telling me that the "Data packet is active" everytime I finish a call. This stops me using the telephone while it is showing and it really is something I can do without. Is there a way to stop or prevent notifications like this please?

There is a version (2.0.2009110201) on the developer's homepage that is shown as compatible with Firefox 3.6.x
*'''''Be aware that the developer has not updated the add-on to be compatible with Firefox 4 and Firefox 5; that is a sign that it may no longer be updated and may no longer work after you update from version 3.6.x of Firefox to Firefox 4 or 5.'''''
Here is the developer's homepage; click on "Download", then click on "Download Latest Version (via HTTPS, GitHub)" to install.

  • Annoying notifications - All MailsPro

I recently tried some apps from BBworld and uninstalled them when i felt had seen what they were all about. Suprisingly am getting notifications from these apps and am not finding it nice at all. How can i deactivate the notifications for good. I have these from Hide SMS, All EmailsPro and some battery booster i can remember the name.

Don't know. Have just read a similar post from another user, but different app. Suggest contacting the developers. Be polite but state you want to stop the notifications.

  • Hide the Notification Bar in my sub site in Sharepoint Online

    Hi All,
I have this annoying notification or status bar right at top of my Team Site that continuously displays the message -
This site can be shared with people outside this organisation. Learn More
When I click the learn more option it says that the site is shared with external users. I am the
site collection admin but i can't see external user invitation feature anywhere in the
site collection features which means that external sharing has been
disabled by admin (correct me if i am wrong). So anyways I am not able to hide this hideous notification from niether my parent nor my sub site.
Is there a way to hide this notification only at the subsite level ? If not is there any way to hide this notification at the parent site itself ?
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks

What to can do if it gets really annoying for the small amount of time it's there you can go to settings the notifications and turn them off. Or quicker do not disturb but that turns all off text every thing hope I helped :) 10 points please.

  • HT5129 How to turn off this notification?

Every time I start iPhoto, I get this annoying notification. How can I turn it off?

The 22.4 MB is any file, website or MobileMe gallery that you may have published to your iDisk.  If you have no items of interest on your iDisk then you can just do what Terence suggested.
If you have any MMe galleries that have photos you want to save do the following:
1 - go to http://web.me.com and use the Sign In link to go to your MMe account online.
2 - user the Download button at the to to download the photos from all of your galleries.  Each gallery will be downloaded as a separate item.
3 - then follow Terence's suggestion to get rid of the message every time you open iPhoto.

  • How do I turn off spoken notifications?

I keep getting annoying notifications like "skype needs your attention" when it's just opening and "your battery is low, plug in your computer" that are spoken and really distracting. HOW CAN I TURN THIS OFF? I know it's not voiceover- I already tried that.

If System Preferences > Accessibility > Enable VoiceOver is "Off", which is what I think you are saying, then ...
Check System Preferences > Dictation & Speech > Text to Speech (tab) > Announce when alerts are displayed ...
make sure it is not checked.

  • How do I turn off notifications completely

When playing my favorite card games the very annoying notification window keeps opening when I swipe from the top.  I have removed everything from "notifications" in the settings and can figure out how to make this stuff stop.

Thing is why have a turn all notifications off, if it isn't going to...  Ok, so I not only turned off notifications, but went through and turned it off in every single app, and I am STILL GETTING THEM!!!!!!!!  OMG.  Definitely a bug and so annoying!

  • Skype messages making notification sound on outloo...

Its kind of annoying, 2 or 3 seconds after I get a message on skype i get a notifiacation on outook.com for the same message and it also makes a sound. It just started doing this 2 days ago and I can't find how to disable this on outlook.com.
So, how can I disable this so Im not getting notifications from 2 places at the same time ? Besides closing my outlook.com (hotmail) all the time.  Im at work so Id like to keep the extra noises to a minunum, not add more.

Skype and Hotmail / Outlook are being shortsighted by having these annoying notification noises

  • Turn off update notifications

I am sick and tired of getting the popup notifications that I need to go update something on the OS. There are updates that I do NOT want, I can manage updating my system without having to continously move the pop up out of the way, and every day having to suspend them for 1 day. I want to suspend them for 1 week, not 1 day.

guess this did NOT show up as a reply to the particular comment for which  i clicked the "reply" link; so editing to explain.
this was in reply to HW's reply to suggestion about going to software update.
    ========================
assume this is no longer an issue. just had to figure out how to turn this off myself. but think u misunderstood the suggestion above your comment. he did NOT say to go to the notifcation center (since app store is NOT there). he said to go to SOFTWARE UPDATE in System Prefs. The fix is supposed to be to turn off automatic updates. apparently that pref controls OS updates, as well as App Store updates. i am waiting to confirm that this has, indeed, removed those annoying notifications!

  • How do I stop the notifications. The bell icon on the top right?

How on earth do I stop those annoying notifications from popping up all the time showing me Items I've sold, bid on, watched, or bought months ago. It's annoying and it keeps adding no matter how many times I turn the **bleep** things off? It even asks the question like some robot that has no intention of doing what you ask. So even turning off these things doesn't stop them what does? Sometimes this stupid feature drops almost 100 notifications of things that aren't even current? Whose brainchild was this? I'd like to send them a constant stream of irrelevant notices every day. Please help!!!!!!

sorry , I don't seem to have a specific solution to your problem as I don't get that many notifications & I find I can clear them out entirely.  For example, mine now states "You're all caught up!" - sounds good to me!!

  • Cannot cancel 'connecting to PC wirelessly' notification

I have just set up Wireless Media Transfer on my Xperia Z3 Compact running Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop?); the set-up worked fine as did the subsequent file transfer activities.
However, I now get a notification 'connecting to PC wirelessly' all the time (if the PC is shut down or I am away from the house) and I cannot close the message.
If I tap the message, then I get an option 'cancel connection' but even when this is clicked, the notification persists; it doesn't even go away for a few minutes and then reappear... It just won't go away. It is not helped by the fact that as I move about the house the Xperia changes it's mind about whether to use the router'so 2.4GHz or 5GHz band whereas the PC is fixed to the latter.
I know that I can tell the Xperia to 'forget' the PC but then I would have to re-establish the connectivity when I want to use it. As the setup process involves first connecting the two devices with a USB cable, this is pointless... I might just as well stay with USB.
Is this a bug with the software, or is there a switch somewhere that I can use to stop these annoying notifications? (I could not find anything in the 'App Notifications' area.)

I sort of followed what you suggested. I turned off the tablet, then connected the USB to PC, then turned on tablet and whala (?menospeakofrencho). Now my next question is how do I play the music I synced to the tablet from PC. Have version of Media Player on tablet yet there are no options for playing the SD where the music was supposed to be synced.Any suggestions, please. Really would like to use it because no MP3 yet and I have a "Click Mix" album of work out tunes with high bpm.Thank you,Debocombo.
