Annual subscription billing duplication

Upon sign-in today, I believe my Annual subscription billing was inadvertantly duplicated.
How do I continue my subscription but cancel duplicate subscription please?

  • Cancel creative cloud annual subscription

    I would like to cancel my creative cloud annual subscription. Agreement states that I have to pay 50% of remaining contract. If there are 8 months left until next renewal, I pay 4 months. Does that mean I have access for the 4 months that I pay for?
    Also, there is an over 1 hour wait on the phone. Why can't I cancel online?

    If you signed-up for a 12-month contract, and cancel mid way, there is indeed a billing for 50% of the remaining contract obligation. You won't be able to sign in to Creative Cloud applications after you cancel your contract.
    You can cancel this online as well by using the Chat instead of Phone.  I hear the response time on the Chats is much quicker. Also you can get a record of the chat emailed to you at the end, so you personally have a record of the conversation that took place.
    The Chat link is just above the Phone link at the bottom of the page, once you've clicked Still Need Help? Contact Us link. Contact Customer Care Note that you must be logged in with your Adobe ID and password that is associated with your account to see these details.

    The Annual Subscription to CS5 looks like a good buy but waht happens when the next version of Photoshop is launched? Does a subscription allow for a 'free' upgrade or is the subscriptoion or is a new subscription required?

    Obviously, the purpose was to attract more subscribers.
    True. And it's hard to feel good about a subscription when you feel you've been coerced into it. Even if it's a good deal. Even worse, it put's you in the same situation as you are with your cell provider. The bill just keeps coming. So right now I wouldn't seriously consider switching my Ps and Illy to a subcription. I'll pay cash for the upgrade when I can afford it.
    However, I am looking at work which may require the use of InDesign, which I don't have, so I was thinking in terms of a month to month until I figure out if the work will justify the cost. The fact that Adobe offers the month to month seems  a surprisingly proletarian gesture considering the general direction they seem to be heading. I'm sure in a perfect Adobe world, each and every Adobe product user would be obliged to send Adobe a significant amount of payola each and every month until they croaked, at which time the obligation would be passed on to the next of kin. Good business if you can get it.
    In any case, it's all a matter of perspective. I'm not mad at Adobe. I'm just glad I'm not creating masks with a pencil, Exacto knife, and frisket any more. Or spending hours maintaining my airbrushes. Exacto knives and airbrushes don't have undo, let alone a history panel. The result of a mistake or a malfunction was most often irreversible. You didn't hit Ctrl+Z. You hit Start Over from the Beginning. And then there was the cost of supplies; paint, ink, frisket, artboard, etc. And the cost of providing a much larger workspace. And so on. So, from this perspective, Adobe would have to be a lot more annoying than they are before I get too upset. In the meantime, I'll just keep chugging along with my PsCs3 and my Illy Cs until I find a hill they can't climb.

  • Annual Subscriptions rolled over into Cloud Subscription?

    I have two annual subscriptions (DW and PS) but  subscribed to Cloud as soon as it was announced. My understanding was that my annual subscriptions would be cancelled out once my Cloud subscription took effect. But the two annual subscriptions are still showing up in my list of subscriptions. Did I misunderstand something?

    Did you get things straightened out Bill? Adobe Customer Service would need to cancel your former subscriptions for you, it wouldn't happen automatically.

    I am an existing Creative Suite 5.5 subscriber. What will happen to my account when CS6 becomes commercially available? Do I need to cancel my existing subscription if I upgrade to a Creative Cloud membership?
    If you are an existing CS suite edition or Photoshop Extended subscription customer, your subscription will automatically be migrated to a Creative Cloud membership with the same plan type:
    One-year subscribers will transition to a one-year Creative Cloud membership at the promotional rate of US$29.99/month. This price is valid through your existing contractual period. No action is required on your part.

  • Single App Annual Subscription Question.

    I own a licensed hard copy of Lightroom 4 and wanted to take out an annual subscription to the cloud version of Photoshop CS6 at £17.58 per month. I'm a photographer and only want to use Lightroom and Photoshop.
    I was having a chat with an Adobe online persona called Nathan who informed me that if I took this type of subscription out then I wouldn't recieve any free updates or upgrades to Photoshop CS6; and that in order to do so I need to take out a full £46.88 per month subscription.
    As I said, I only want Photoshop as I already own Lightroom.
    I am not particularly bothered at this juncture if I didn't qualify for a free upgrade to CS7 when it comes, but I assumed that Photoshop CS6 version updates would be free.
    Please can someone tell me if I'm right; and if I'm not, and updates are not free then what is the point of the single app subscription?

    The Creative Cloud FAQ has info about the single app subscriptions here:

    You heard "I wouldn't receive any free updates or upgrades to Photoshop CS6"
    - You would get any product specific updates that were non-Creative Cloud, same as customers who own Photoshop CS6. Creative Cloud customers get the benefit of getting new feature updates as soon as they are ready versus the next product upgrade.
    Any ongoing bug fixes, security patches, and other update releases that do not require full upgrades will be made available through the Adobe Application Manager just as in the regular versions of Adobe software.
    - Upgrades usually refer to a next version of the software, so if you had a subscription when PS CS7 came out, yes you would get access to that version
    Benefits of single app subscription
    - You could purchase it on a month to month if you wanted
    - License is cross-platform (you could install on both a Mac and a PC)
    - 20GB of online storage with Creative Cloud files
    One other item I didn't see on the FAQ that I would want you to know, the single app subscription is the standard version of Photoshop CS6 - the version that comes with Creative Cloud is Photoshop CS6 Extended.

    You can click on accept or buy ,which ever option you see on that dialog box.It will prompt you to type in your Adobe Credentials.You can license it by doing the same.
    If it still doesn't work ,follow these steps and see how it goes .
    Delete all the files from following folders:
    [Home]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLStore
    [Home]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLCache
    And, delete all files from following folder except cache.db
    [Home]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobePCD
    Then launch Acrobat and try to activate and check.
