Anonymous Users in Activity Reports

Hi All,
When i checked the activity reports in User administration, I see that there are some Anonymous users logged in.
Can somebody explain me who they are and how do we identify these anonymous users ?
Note: We don't have any anonymous logins enabled...Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I don't know exactly how the PAR are generated, but maybe the report is only looking into the authentication scheme necessary to access the iView. By default, some default-iViews from SAP (DTN, Portal Favorites, etc) is set to anonymous.
I guess that even if you have anonymous access disabled (Guest user disabled), the used authentication scheme (anonymous) will be responsible that you see "Anonymous" Users in the reports.
You can try to set the scheme to "default" or higher and verify if the anonymous users are eliminated from your reports (but his will take some time).

Tobias

  • Reporting services allow anonymous users to download reports

    Hello.
I'm implementing some reports in a Virtual machine in Azure  and I would like to share these reports with some users through an URL like this:
    http://myreports.cloudapp.net/ReportServer?/SalesReportl&rs:Command=Render&rs:Format=PDF&Cod=GR0030&Year=2014
Does anyone knows how to do it?
    Best regards.

    Hello,
Currently there is no option to Set Anonymous access SQL Azure Reporting services. You need specified User name and password and then preview the report.
You can one of the following authentication subsystems supported by SSRS: Windows authentication or Forms-based authentication.

  • Portal Activity Reports - Anonymous Users

    Hello Experts,
we are using the Portal Activity Report Iview because we need to know how many users are logging during the week.
But the report created shows a lot of ANONYMOUS USERS logged...
We don't have any anonymous settings on our contents, so I cannot understand which could be the cause...
    Any Ideas??
    Thanks in advance

  • Guest users in Portal Activity Report

    Hi All,
We have implemented Portal Activity Report in our portal. We are tracking only the pages and we have set the property Authentication Scheme to default for all the pages.
The reports are working fine except for the fact that the reports are showing up large number of anonymous users logging in as Guest for e.g. Guest 1, Guest 2, Guest 3 etc. Our landscape has no Anonymous users.
Can anyone tell me why the report is showing up large number of Guest users (Type - Anonymous Users) though we donu2019t have any anonymous Users?
How to get rid of these Anonymous Guest users in the Portal Activity Report?
Kindly help me to resolve this issue.
    Regards,
    Adren D'Souza

    Hi Adren,
The AR shows what it gets.
The first posibility, is somewhere anonymous users do have access to content or some operations are being considered as anonymous.
I suggest to check all the properties which should disable the anonymous, whether there is any content which is exposed as anonymous:
1)Search the roles which are assigned to Guest user.
2)Make sure that the "Guest" user is disabled.
The second possibility u2013 there is an old data in DB tables.
What type of report are we discussing? Is this the "Details about the users who logged on" report?
If it is, check the WCR_* DB tables whether there any u2018au2019 type users.
If there is,  I would recommend  you to delete those entries ("WHERE USERTYPE = 'a'), it could be the old data, before you have applied the note.

  • Can the Portal Activity Report show unique users per page?

    Hello all
I guess this is a rather simple question, but can someone tell me if the portal activity report can show a count of unique users per page per week for instance?
Or will it just show which users have visited the page in a list without aggregating them to a number? And if the users are aggregated to a number, is it only uniwue users that are counted for the given period?
    Regards,
    Martin

  • How to view the Users in the Portal Activity Report

    Hello,
Can anyone tell me how to view the Report of users who have logged in a specific time. For Example I would like to view the users who have logged in between 9.00 am and 9.15 am. Is it possible to view mentioning the country name?
Please explain me in detail how to view the Report.
    Thnx in Advance
    cheers,
    Murali

    hi,
You can certainly do it for hourly basis but i am not sure whether it could be done quarter an hour basis. Also The portal nodes within a cluster can be in different time zones, yet the activity data from all nodes are aggregated together and reported together. To enable the reporting of hourly data from different time zones, portal activity reports display hourly data based on the GMT time zone.
    Do see the documentation

  • How to authenticate user in Active Directory for an Oracle report

    Hey there,
We have users of 1 report all over the country.
Currently, when using the report, the user chooses a location as a parameter, then runs the report.
The problem is we don't want the user to be able to see data from other locations, only their own.
So how can I do this as all users are set up in Active Directory, but the only thing that distinguishes them apart is under the Properties of the user, under the General tab, the Office field says where they are located.
    Thanks in advance!

  • Simple report for lock users not actives in last 30 days ?

Hi, we need code in SE38 simple report for lock all users not actives in last 30 days.
This sample is good but need check : user its inactive in last 30 days.

    Thank you.

You do not need a report to do this. The instance parameter
    login/password_max_idle_productive
    will do this for you.

    Hi
Standard reporting function in the portal provides following information:
    ● Information about the number of users who logged on during a specified period of time
    ● This type of portal activity report also displays a graphic showing the change in the number of users logged on over time.
    ● Information about the users who logged on
    ● Information about the number of users who visited each page and iView
For rest of your requirements, you will need to create custom reports.
