Another 2038 error message - file corrupt

It is now day two and I am still trying to install Adobe Digital Editions.  I
have done all that was suggested - several times, have gone around in circles with Adobe
and discovered they just aren't going to address the issue.
People have been posting problems with this issue for a number of years in various locations online but I found no solution posted.
I get the message:
Error during recovery after failed manifest save.
Error deleting file: C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\My Documents\My Digital Editions\manifest.xml
Error detail: Error #2038
and have discovered that the file is corrupt.  Each time I install ADE, the manifest.xml file downloaded is corrupt.
I would so much like to know if there is anyone who has a solution to this problem?

3 years ago someone posted a solution to this problem advising to delete the file and then reopen ADE.  This file can not be deleted.  When I attempt to do so I get the message that it can't be deleted because it is corrupte and unreadable. Talk about a Catch 22.  After all this time, I can't believe a solution hasn't been found.

  • PDF file won't open after saving it from the web.  get error message file is damaged.

My PDF files won't open after saving them to Docs from the web.  I get error message file is damaged. Can someone help me correct this problem on Mac Air w Mountain Lion?

I wonder if the image is being embedded somehow and there is not enough scratch disk space to render the file. Just a hunch. Check your hardrive to see how much free space is available. Also, check your RAM and see if you can upgrade ( install more, install much more ) to max out as much RAM as possible. At a minimum, check for fragmentation and do a "Correct Permissions" via Apple's Disk Utility.
But, weird things start happening when a font becomes corrupt. Not that one is, but it may be in your best interest to acquire a font management utility like Font Agent PRO ( if you don't have one already ). A good font management program can detect and disable corrupt fonts.
CS1 and OSX10.4 should be fairly compatable with the 7500, but you may have gone as far as you can go. Think about upgrading to a G4 or a G5. I believe the 7500 was pre G3 ( which I think is the minimum requirements for CS1 ).

  • Rendering error message:File in use

Please help, I am trying to print a project to video but in the rendering process I get the error message: File in use by this or another application. I have no files in use in another application. MAC support is unfamiliar with the message and recommends uninstalling FCP and re-installing. Any other ideas as I am afraid of losing the project. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, G.

If you rerender does the error go away? I know this comes up with Tiger and spotlight. I just disabled spotlight for my media drives. It does not look like you are running Tiger, usless your auto info has not been updated.
If you cannot render at all, then is is not spotlight.
I would try braking the timeline down in 1/2s. keep going until you get a render that works. You may be able to track down the exact clip that is having a problem. Good luck

  • "Error Message: File video dimensions (width/height) too large"

    Hello,
I believe someone else had a similar problem and posted to this forum, but here it goes...
I have a project in Premiere CS3 that uses MPG files. The files open just fine in CS3 at work. At home I have CS4, but those MPG files do not import. I've tried converting the files to a MOV file but I just get the same result:
"Error Message: File video dimensions (width/height) too large"
I'm using Premiere CS4 version 4.1.0 on a Mac. My work computer is a PC.
I've tried running the file through MPEG Streamclip a couple times with different settings, but so far no luck. I realy have no idea what I'm doing there or what setting could work, but I've got another conversion cranking away now. We'll see how that goes.
    Thanks

A handheld 4K camera with exchangeable lenses with 1" sensors, standard with a 20-600 mm equivalent zoom range, with extender, with a simple battery that lasts at least 12 hours, that records on $ 25 SD 128 GB cards, available at every streetcorner and does 4:4:4 color space uncompressed I-frame with a weight of less than 4 Lbs and with a dynamic range over 60 dB, all under $ 1 K?
Take out the prices and you've fairly accurately described the forthcoming Scarlet.
It also describes somewhat well AVC-I cameras.
But overall, I would not argue with your description as a goal to be achieved in 5 years.  In the interim there would have to be compromises, of course.  But there are three things that should never be compromised in any video camera anywhere - the imaging devices should always be full resolution, the recording format should always record the full raster, and only using I-frame compression.
This was the norm for standard definition.  Only with HD have camera makers mucked things up.  It's time they got back to basics and made proper cameras.

  • What does the Error Message: "File format not supported" mean?

When I first open an existing project, I get an Error Message: "File format not supported".   After a few seconds all the windows open up and I can continue to edit.  My question is will this "File format not supported" haunt me later or shall I continue to edit as I am doing? Why does this error message come up?  All the current footage is shot on same camera, the Canon 5D Mark III at 23.98 time code rate,  1920 x 1080.

  • When trying to change ringtone I keep getting the error message file type not supported.

I have downloaded some ringtones fro VZ Tones and when I go to make them the default it gives me the error message file type not supported.  If I go to my storage and try to look at pictures, it tells me the same thing.

That's definitely odd CrystiDawn, and I understand it can be quite frustrating. Let's get to the bottomof this. What device make and model phone do you have? Did you receive a text message with a link to download the ringtones? If so, once downloaded, please go to all your Apps, locate "Files" and play the ringtone using the media player. You will have the option to set it as ringtone while playing and pressing the menu icon. Were the pictures taken from the phone or transferred using the USB cable?

  • Error message: file was skipped because the old remote file could not be deleted.. Later it will up

Error message: file was skipped because the old remote file could not be deleted.. Later it will upload after i try a few more times. Not at my size quota for website (I have lots of room) , have toggled Passive FTP ...keeps happening. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks! I am using DW CS5 on Windows 7 platform. This does not happen when I upload otherwise on my computer - only when using DW.
It also only happens with the html files - it does not happen with my jpeg files

Do you have notes in your site?  DW's local and remote site synching might be off.   Try clearing your cache.
