Now the auto spell check no longer works......can n e one help?

I'm still trying to figure out how the Playbook is a piece of junk. I just got mine today and all is working fine, including auto spell check. As someone above already said, it sounds like it's not ALL PlayBooks, just yours.
For what it's worth, your post of no use to anyone in its initial rant state. I figured you changed it but either way you have two people here that would help you if you just asked.
If it were me, I'd reload the OS on it. If you're interested I'm sure someone could walk you through it. If not, then there's not much point to this thread.
This is a support forum, not a rant forum. It's where the community of users (not RIM employees) comes for help from other users (also not RIM employees) on how to solve problems and find tips and tricks.

My tagged page is working perfectly now. No more broken features.

3 days of broken features. I did everything what the adviced here in the forum butnothings work. so I decided to check my system and security under control paneland checked everything there if what I could find out about this problem. Thetrouble shooting says two critical updates, and the only way I could pix it is torestore my computer in its earlier time. Bingo! now my tagged page is workingperfectly again, no more broken features.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.

Another Broken WoW Headset

Has anybody had any luck getting this fixed?
Another Broken Headset, I bought them on Jan st (5 days ago), and I'm not hard on my stuff, I've heard about other people having this problem, and I went out of my way to take extra care of them. I'm very disappointed with quality of this product. I want to love this headset, but for the plastic to snap this easily, it's just cheap.
That being said I've invested a lot of money into them, and have sent off the email recommended in other threads because the S/N will not be accepted , I want mine replaced or fixed, hell if you send me the small part that needs to be replaced I would fix it myself.
And FYI Email tag is not good customer service.

Urgent: Add another Row feature and Query bean

Hi,
I have added "Add another Row" feature to the result table of a query bean which is results based search. The table is also updateable. I am able to update rows, save, rollback and query another set of records again without any problem.
But, if I add a row, save or rollback those changes and go back and perform a query, it doesn't return any records. What would I be missing?

Animated gifs -- broken feature; locked topic

Hey -- what gives?
Why is the main discussion in this forum of Mail's baffling inability to send an animated gif file been locked, with no further replies allowed?
Is Apple so embarrassed at the absurdity of this simple feature being broken for so long that it can't bear to see any further discussion of the matter?
I wanted to post that not even the "append selected file" workaround suggested within that thread worked on my machine (with the current 10.4.7 OS), and ask if any other users had any other suggestions. I also wanted to join the chorus of users who are saying: yes, this broken feature is a small thing -- which is precisely why Apple should have fixed it long ago.
Meantime -- any user suggestions for what should be a simple, straightforward procedure?

That thread certainly drifted off topic: it was not about sending animated GIF's in the first place but about receiving them in viewable form in Mail. The answer effectively was given: the feature apparently doesn't work for anyone, so it is currently broken. The remainder of the pots went off in several directions: how to send one, why would Apple break or not repair the view feature, when would they fix it, even some conjecture about philosophical reasons for & against having the feature at all.
Some of these things are off limits for Apple Discussions because the terms of use prohibit them, others are threadjacks. As the moderator suggested, start a new post for "your issue" -- which still has to follow the terms, including not speculating on Apple policy or when a feature will be added/restored to its products.
You topic & the subjects that you wanted to address in the locked one are only partially admissible under these terms. I suggest you steer clear of policy issues here & use there forums to determine if an issue is known or if a fix exists. Feature requests should instead be directed to Apple Feedback, conjecture to web sites & forums that allow or encourage that.
For the technical aspects of your issue, it would help if you would outline what you have tried & how you have tested it.

It seems the iPhone before the update was not officially unlocked from the carrier it is locked to. Which would mean it had been unlocked to use on your carriers sim by jailbreaking(hacking) or by using third party hardware.

Another little feature - select and copying text

Another anoying piece of functionality is the way the cut and paste is handled.
If you're in a text converation for example and someone says can you send me so and so's number/email etc then fair enough you jump into contacts find the person and their information is then there for you to see. Why cant you just click on the info you want and copy the info? No you have to go into EDIT mode, then hold your finger on the item for the right bar to appear.
Ok, no worries here, however after clicking say select all the right bar then diasapears ! Why? Logic dictates you've selected the data for a reason. Allow the right hand bar to stay open unless you say otherwise.
First of all though, allow the select to take place with no need to edit the contact.
Yes you can add a .vcf - however people are dumb and dont know what to do with such a file and also you you need to know the persons info your sending is happy for you to send all contact info about them etc.
Small things to make the OS even better :-)

Another wonderful "feature"

I've created a search page. From the search results on the same page, the user can click a link, which transfers them to a new page flow. This page flow is in it's own directory, with it's own portlet.
1st problem:
When the user calls the search page a 2nd time, they are immediately transferred to the last request - in this case back to the 2nd page flow! I've already added "refreshAction" which does work on page refresh, but how do I stop this completely unintuitive action happening?
2nd problem:
When calling the 2nd page flow, it loads inside the existing portlet. Instead of the portlet loading, I have had to resort to changing the portlet title. I have also tried every variation in the forward annoation, none with successful results.
These are very fundamental web application issues that are somehow "default" for Weblogic 8.1 portal. What user wants to return to their previous request when they really want to do another search? I'm constantly scratching my head working with this highly touted product.

I have faced same problems. I have some workarounds.
What you can try out is:
1)For each URL if you dont want to retain the data, then you just append a the URL with LOADSTATE_PARAM (please see docs for exact variable name) to false. This will restrict the portal to maintain state when you move from one page flow to other.
2) Do not invoke a page flow inside a pageflow if you dont want nesting. Means if this pageflow is a link then you need to redirect using definitionlable of the page. This will make your links work fine.
3) Keep the refreshAction so that each time to come to same page it will execute that action.

Looks like Apple has removed yet another useful feature!

I have a workflow where I trash jpeg previews of .eps and .pdf vector files.
I was able to quickly see what was a preview and what was a genuine .jpeg (no vector version) by selecting all the jpegs by kind, then switching to name list.
Unpaired jpegs I keep.
Now when you do that in Mavericks, the selection is unselected.

Downloading RAR files come down as 2 files one labelled .rara which a ppears complete but is zero bytes and another labelled .rar.part.

Another broken usb cable!

I have an iphone 5 and for about the 4th or 5th time i have a usb cable that is no longer working. They are pretty expensive considering what they actually are. Any recommendations for a cheaper option that actually works and wont affect my phone?

You must be very careless with your cables. I have multiple iDevices and have never had a cable issue. Of course, I don't yank on the cords or kink them.
BTW, the cables have the same warranty as the iDevice with which it came. Is there a reason you didn't bring the broken cable back to Apple? If a manufacturing defect was detected (and not user abuse, which I suspect is the case here), your cable would be replaced under warranty.

Just checking on another odd feature: Typedef enum Property Node "Value" not reflecting changes in the Typedef?

Just encountered this odd behavior in LV 2011 which I reduced to the following example:
- create a new VI and drop an enum control on te FP.
- make this control a typedef and open the corresponding typedef
- create a "case 1" item and a "case 2" item
- save the typedef (I used the name Typedef Control 1) and CLOSE it (this is to allow updating of the original control).
- drop a case structure on the diagram and connect the enum to it:
So far so good. Now create a "Value" Property node for the enum and use it instead of the terminal:
If I now go back to the typedef and add a "case 3" item, save the typedef and close it, the control is updated, but the Property node is not.
How do I know that? For one, the Case Structure contextual menu does not offer to create a case for every value. Also, if I add a "case 3" case manually, it turns red.
Luckily, the magic Ctrl-R key stroke actually does solve this problem.
Tested in LV 2011.

By Ctrl-R trick do you simply mean running the VI? That is one way to force a recompile, but if you hold down Ctrl while pressing the run button you can recompile without running. This should not be "dangerous" in any situation.
As you have drawn your example, I see no reason not to use a local in that situation (ok, maybe for vanity). Still, I view the behavior you describe as a bug, and it should certainly be fixed for the benefit of local haters out there. You have to be a little careful where you draw the line between what gets handled in real time and what gets handled only at compile time.

I have never been so disappointed in apple! for such a well established company to not have another sercurity feature to find my stolen phone if the find my phone app is disabled. i sent countless emails to nurunesa and still no reply. WOW!!!

Apple provided you with Find My iPhone.
As Peter pointed out, they are not in the business of law enforcement. They supplied you with the tools to secure your device and you chose not to use them.

After using a certain payed wifi, now always I open another wifi feature, the old window for the paying wifi ask for the user name ans password. I'd already delete the old wifi conection, clean the cookies, restart laptop, clean the historic, etc etc

No more playing similar tracks! Another lost feature!

In iTunes8 I can no longer find how to play tracks at random, making iTunes choose tracks that are similar to the one previously played (and adjusting how similar I want that to be).
Where has this gone?

Interesting - yours is the first post I’ve read that links this issue to deep sleep. Can you confirm that this is perfectly reproducible? IOW does it happen only after the iPod has gone into deep sleep and every time its gone into deep sleep?
Unfortunately that isn’t the case with my 4G iPod. Since receiving a Nano as a gift this winter, my 4G gets to deep sleep regularly but it wakes up and plays my purchased tracks. I just confirmed that. However, every couple of months I too have been forced to connect it to my computer, play a track in iTunes, and then sync again.
I tend to set up my iPod with playlists and then not sync it for quite a while and since getting the Nano the period between syncs has tended to get even longer. I figured the iPod had a time based ‘kill’ switch that if you don’t connect the iPod and sync before that time passes the purchased songs stop playing.
